I met Dr. Kansas to discuss my erectile dysfunction. I was delighted to find myself in a new…read morerelationship with a wonderful woman and wanted to be able have sex again. I was very skeptical after nearly a decade of poor performance, and avoiding dating and relationships so I would not be humiliated due to the inability to achieve an erection. I found Dr Kansas' casual and frank conversation on ED refreshing and relaxing. After trying the usual over the counter drugs, he asked me to consider a penile implant. After looking over the hardware, I have to admit that it took me a little time get use to the idea. He assured me that, since the typical over the counter drugs barely worked, and my new wife was very supportive, I decided to proceed with the surgery. After recuperating from the initial surgery, my lovely new wife and I could not be more pleased. Sex is excellent again, my doubt and self-consciousness is completely gone. I only have to manually pump up my parts, but the sensation is every bit of wonderful as it was when I was 35. If your ED is causing you extreme anxiety and humiliation like it did me, please consider this procedure. If not for you, how about your wife or girl friend. She'll be all over you again. PS - I also suggest that you start working out again. You'll be needing those core muscles again guys:-)

They call Austin Urology and left a message at approx. 1:35 and they asked me if I'd wait for the Dr.'s Office to call back, I said I'd wait. (little did I know that my wait would exceed an hour before I was able to contact someone that actually answered the phone, the appointment desk (thanks to the appointment desk for at least answering the phone. After several more minutes of being on-hold I (not ARA) was finally transferred to Dr. Cuellar's nurse. Once I explained the situation and gave my phone to the CT Technician and they explained again and being put on hold again for almost 10 minutes, the Nurse finally said she was unable to reach you (Dr. Cuellar) at which point I decided I wasn't going to wait even longer and I was going to cancel my CT scan with ARA. So, what now Dr. Cuellar? My appointment next week was supposed to be to review my CT scan, which hasn't been done (with or without contrast). The phone system for Austin Urology is one of the worst I've experienced and trust me I have to deal with the VA's system and yours is by far the worst. I am anxiously awaiting a decision on whether or not my appointment for next week is either cancelled or rescheduled once again.

I realized this needed an update: in short, I still love everyone!…read more Dr Melody Denson is still just as wonderful as when I first started seeing her in 2009. Danielle Manes PA-C (the appt confirmation sw says Manees Possee-argh) has been a excellent, personable, talented addition to this Team. If I can't get info Dr Denson, I see Danielle - and not just because I need a Interstim reprogramming. Their nurses have changed over the years, but all are wonderful. I still prefer coming to the Round Rock office as everyone here makes a point of getting to know the patients: we are definitely not a number. I've Never had a staff member be short or rude to me (in pain I KNOW I've been short; later found the staff member and apologized). Please also know that many Round Rock Staff (including front office) FLOAT to other offices. If someone is rude TELL THEM and Report It to Urology Team: don't just put it a Yelp Review. Dr Denson is an expert in her field. She works WITH YOU to find a solution. She also has the best personality--never acting like you are "just another time slot on her calendar". I don't know how she does it but spends enough time with me to never feel rushed but always cared for. PA Danielle Manes doesn't need anymore pointers: she truly cares for each and every one of her patients and I just love working with her. Their focus on female urology problems is the best in the area--they stay up dated on latest technology and treatments, and always are willing and interested to hear new things from patients too. This practice has the best. It is sometimes hard to get in to see Dr Denson at first but she is worth it. My appointments frequently end with a hug, the little things definitely matter when you already feel like a number to the insurance company. I definitely prefer coming to the Round Rock office instead of the Jollyville office, but when desperate will go anywhere. If you feel like you are waiting too much, go down to Jollyville: that office is larger, sees more patients with more doctors at the same time, & everything (and everyone) can become overwhelmed. Then you'll REALLY WAIT. The Round Rock Office is definitely busIER than when it first opened (and Dr Denson came up 1 day a week): she now rotates & does 2 days at each office somehow(?) plus surgeries. Round Rock has free WiFi (Jollyville doesn't), water, coffee, chairs & a bathroom. Yes, always bring something to do (I always bring my charger for my phone). I almost hate to share this: first appointments of the day or right after lunch break usually are on time. And, pretty please keep in mind Danielle is The ONE who does Interstim reprogramming, & those appointments can go long (no matter the device they can cause issues), & no matter what or how the staff attempt to schedule her appointments, sometimes a device gets "off" and an appointment goes LONG: Be nice! I apologize in advance for screwing up her schedule for you, as I have two (2) Interstims & also a Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS): I'm on my way to becoming a bionic woman. I've worked with many people at Urology Team ~ surgical scheduling, front office, you name it. The one issue I think everyone has experienced is the EXTREMELY LONG PHONE WAITS, that usually involve a transfer to DisconnectionLand. The current system (that "counts down") seems better, but transfers to Triage are still iffy. Hopefully those problems will get resolved. Dr Denson & Danielle: Love Love LOVE U BOTH!

My vasectomy procedure did not exactly go according to plan, both from a procedural standpoint as…read morewell as front office proceedings. I explained to the doctor during our consultation in January how terrified I was of this procedure and that I wanted both the valium and nitrous to get me through it. He said no problem. I also received a printout of pre-op and post-op instructions, which includes them stating someone will discuss with me specimen collection. Well... 1. I was not administered the nitrous as requested, and as a result, I was entirely too coherent during the procedure. 2. The doctor failed to adequately numb the area prior to beginning the procedure, which, as you can imagine, resulted in incredible discomfort. After I yelled out, he apologized and applied additional numbing medication to help. 3. There was literally no post-op follow up discussion. Basically just snipped and left. No one bothered to check in on me or go over the specimen collection process as stated in their printout. 4. When I was paying the bill before leaving, I did not receive any kind of detailed statement to clarify what all I had just paid for. And then they billed me again for something that 1. I had already paid for and 2. Something they never even gave me (the Fellow kit for specimen collection). While the doctor's bedside manner was fine, it would have been nice for him to thoroughly explain how the procedure is done and what kinds of things to expect and where. Something as simple as "hey, this is where you are going to see incision marks, this is what those incisions will look like afterwards, this is how much post-op bleeding you should expect, etc.". Instead, I'm left wondering if I'm going to end up with scarred testicles that do not look right or feel right after everything settles down. It's a very uneasy feeling. Looking back, the entire process was disjointed and uncoordinated, and I'm not happy about it. Now I'm just praying the doctor did the job correctly, so I do not have to endure that nightmare again.

I had this appt scheduled for a month or more. Erin called me to reschedule but wanted to reschedule me for the Cedar Park office rather than Round Rock where I was scheduled. I told her that was too far and she asked could she call me back in 10 minutes. She never called. That was Friday. On Monday I left a message early am I left a message and staff said she would send a rush message to Erin. She never called. I called again that afternoon and staff told me message was sent that am and she would send another one. Still no call. Every time they have wanted me to do either PT/ new procedures they have wanted me to go to Cedar Park, which I did on one occasion. Now Vicky told me on Friday if I didn't go to Cedar Park it would be January which is totally unacceptable as I have already waited for an extended period of time. I have attempted to get Erin to return my call as she said she would do with no success. Dr Bruce is absolutely great but I have only seen him on 2 occasions b/c I always get set up with the nurse practitioner . The staff is totally irresponsible. I understand doctors have emergencies they have no control over but I should have to be put back past others who will get their scheduled appts and they should try to work with the patient to work them in some way. Would not recommend this practice to anyone. My gynecologist was the one who referred me there so I was expecting this to be a great experience; not the experience I have gotten.
