Dr. Cuellar is a rock star. I went to him originally as a referral from my GP. He asked me a plethora of questions, then spoke to me a bit about what they do there (this was almost a year ago). Based on our conversation and his assessment of my situation he prescribed meds, and scheduled an internal exam. The exam was uncomfortable, but not as mind bending as I thought it would be. Later, my prescription changed a little and then again. He was explaining that my body was responding and adjusting (which is a great thing). The staff has always been helpful. They try to get you in as quickly as possible, and seem to make themselves available for questions should I have any. Test results are always fast. This whole ordeal could have been super ugly. I traveled from out of state for aquablation surgery performed by Dr. Cuellar at the recommendation of a relative who was very familiar with this doctors experience level and reputation. Not only was I surgically in great hands with Dr. Cuellar, his support staff including Henry, (PA) and Tommie, his supporting nurse were just outstanding. For the few weeks prior to surgery, the 3 weeks I was in Austin during the surgery and for the following weeks post surgery...Tommie was just exceptional on the phone and through portal messages. Henry as well could not have been more supportive in the weeks post surgery. It was/is obvious to me that Dr. Cuellar has perfected this mode of prostate surgery and I'd recommend him to anyone considering aquablation. read more

The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because they fixed their mistake. I made an appointment for today and drove 6 and half hours to make this appointment, and cut my other appointment short so I could make it on time, only to be told that I don't have an appointment until tomorrow even though I got texts, and calls to remind me of this appointment for today. They "squeezed" me in at 4, but really 4:30 just to be told to go to PT. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.! read more

Dr. Denson was a phenomenal doctor. She answered all my concerns, listened carefully, was kind and showed great compassion for my problem. Checking out with Julio who was sweet, kind and attentive on following up with my future appointment w/Dr. Denson. The bathroom didn't seem too clean but overall nice. The waiting area was a bit small and congested. When I arrived, there was a line of 6 people in front of me and it took awhile to be seated. I may check out Dr. Denson's other locations for next time since she was worth it. read more

Received my cancer diagnosis from an intern not a physician. They seem more interested in Quantity over Quality. Insurance company "yes" men who are more interested in their needs than yours. Diane Bonsall was particularly unhelpful and uncaring. Dr's yell at staff and do not listen to patients. I would give this place a solid 3 star. Your experience is very dependent on the provider you see, while the urologists really didn't do much to help me over the span of 2 years I was seen - I finally got in the pelvic floor physical therapist team is great. Upon check in the process is so slow that most times I'm actually checked in past my appointment time and then cannot take advantage of the full session for my health. Not to mention the front desk staff just seems kind of rude sometimes. When scheduling appointments they are super unprofessional. I had recurring appointments that were supposed to be set up and due to a "system error" they only scheduled me 3 times across a 3 month period. Now I am having to get on a waitlist and essentially hope I get an appointment. Not to mention this has happened prior where they call me randomly the day before and notify me that they have to cancel my appointment. Overall lacking in professionalism and would give it a 1 star if it weren't for my fabulous pelvic floor physical therapist. hoping she finds a better gig! read more

me and my husband had a bad experience with Urology Austin in Round Rock Branch, my husband have a schedule of Ct scan in UA Round Rock last 10/16/25 @ 9am , and when we came there, the receptionist said that our schedule was cancelled because their technician quit,! They said they called us, but i told them we dont receive any calls, emails or even voicemail that you are cancelling my husband schedule for CT Scan? They just sais 'sorry" without making any actions on how to revover their fault, despite we told them that we even cancelled our work and filed a PTO( Paid time off) just to attend this CT Scan, also my husband need to been ASAP because he is having hematuria for 2 months already, so what we did is ask the lady is there any other place we can do the imaging near our place in Burnet County, they found out there is one in Marble Falls, so my husband and I, drove that place to Marble Falls from Round Rock, just to make it on time @ 11:45 am, ( we left Round Rounk Austin Urology clinic @10 am), and another scenario happened is my husband originally have a scheduled for cystoscopy on Nov 12, 2025 @ UA in Cedar Park for PA Name Holly Kane, but October 23rd someone from Urology Austin called me, I think her name is Karen, saying there is an earlier available date we can get which is November 4. @ 2pm in Round Rock branch, so I took the earlier schedule since my husband is suffering a lower right pain in his back already aside from his hematuria,and they said they cancelling the November 12 schedule, and have a NOV 4 schedule already, So when we came to Urology Austin in Round Rock that NOv 4 , they are saying that my husband dont have a schedule that day, and its supposed to be November 12, I told them the story that last October 23 someone from UA called me and ask if we want my husband schedule to be earlier, and i accepted the change of schedule, and now they are saying we dont have any schedule for this day?you dont know how many days of work we lose since the beginning that we are going back and forth to this office, you dont know guys how many sleepless nights we experienced thinking of what my husband is undergoing and wanting to know the results as early as possible but yout branch/ office is messing our schedules, and you dont even care how far we drove to get into your place just to have the check up and all you gonna say is just "sorry", Your company dont have coordinations, not systematic and definitely dont care about the patient, as what i'm saying this is the second time they did this to us in Round Rock office, and doctor is even there that day of November 4, dont even made any back up plan after of what we have experience to their branch, still choose not to see my husband, even as the last patient, despite that this is their fault, we will not go there and drive from Burnet to Round Rock if nobody from their company / office called me to change my husband schedule, and we dont even know that the doctor will be there in Round Rock instead of Cedar Park, is no one from Urology Austin schedule us to go there and see the doctor, all I can say is you have to fix this CRAP,!you dont have concerns to the patient, all you want is business! read more

These guys have a lot of offices, and I have been only to the Georgetown one. However this review isn't about that office, which has always been pleasant to me when I'm there, and I like my doctor well enough. The issue is this: you can't reach these people on the phone. If there is a way to email them, it isn't apparent. Text alerts they send cannot be responded to in any way that I can see. There is a patient portal that I've never used, which maybe is what they want us to use, I don't know. Being able to reach someone on the phone is important to me. Sometimes this phone issue becomes a massive inconvenience. For example, they for some reason had an appointment scheduled for the wrong day, and I mean MONTHS earlier than when my next one was scheduled. I started getting all these automated messages about the appointment, but there was no way to inform them easily the time was wrong. Even though I knew they never answer their calls, I tried anyway, and waited on hold for 30 minutes before giving up. This just isn't okay. I respect my time and theirs, but I think the people running the show here only respect their own time. Given what the medical community charges us (and our insurance) for services, they can't hire enough people to answer phones in 5 minutes or less? Zero complaints once I'm at the office. Location is pleasant, office staff in Georgetown is pleasant, and my doctor has been careful and I feel his advice is good. Man though can a business be hampered by a lack of professionalism with how their communications is run. Review would go up if I could just reach people when needed. read more

I've had a good experience with Martha and the rest of the staff during my in office appointment. The 1 star is for my experience with the staff/scheduling for a CT scan. 11/5 - follow up appt with Martha. Puts in a request to schedule a CT scan. 11/8 - I have not been contacted and I reach out to the RR office and I'm informed that the office does not do the scheduling but the office where I will get the scan. The person on the phone makes a note of my call. I called around lunch hoping this note would result in getting a call before the EOD. 11/11 - Was not contacted Friday or Monday morning so I called back Monday afternoon. I was told the same thing about how the scheduling works but the person on the phone said they will try to push for me to get a callback. This is all while I'm dealing with a KS and experiencing pain/discomfort off and on. read more

No one ever called back. Had to go to the office to get to be seen. Was told I needed a lithotripsy and scheduler would call me next day. I had an appointment on Wednesday 10/15/25, at Urology Austin in RR,TX with S. Whitney PA who didn't give me a diagnosis. I made a appointment with him because my doctor M. Hardy, Urologist wasn't available. I have been having symptoms of a UTI. I urinated in a cup and he said that it looks like you could have UTI and made a copy of a sheet of paper of an over the Counter Probiotic to take. He also said that my urine looks better today than it did this past September and this past July that I took for my Urologist there. The PA said if it gets too bad call back to get a prescription for Antibiotics. I am still having symptoms. I don't think that PA knows what he is doing and that doctor visit should be FREE. I called today and spoke with someone in that office who said the chart did not indicate that I have a UTI and antibiotic is not recommended. I asked for the office manager, but was told that he would have the Physician Assistants care team call me today.I am not satisfied with the service that I received from S Whitney PA. read more

Urology Austin may have great doctors but their call center is horrible! Customer Service is non existent. I had an xray that showed a 10 mm kidney stone and blood in my urine and they made me wait 3.5 weeks to even talk to a provider. The call center scheduled me for an XRay, even though I already had one showing the stone. Wasting precious time and resources. Now six weeks later and a CT that shows a 28 mm stone. I am finally scheduled for surgery only because I called the emergency line after hours and spoke to the doctor on call. That Doctor, Dr. Jones saw me the NEXT DAY!! He wanted me to take another round of antibiotics prior to the surgery. Five calls, four messages on my client portal over four days and still no response. I don't know how Urology Austin stays in business. The office staff, PA and Doctor all acknowledged the problems with the call center. But nothing changes! Horrible experience!! read more

Not sure what's happening with this company. I saw Karen , the PA on 9/5. She was going to put in a refill for me. As of 9/14 that hasn't been done. I tried calling them twice on 9/12 and was on hold for 20 minutes each time before hanging up. As I'm writing this, I've been on hold for 10 minutes. In the past, I've received excellent care. No stars would be better. I had a 8AM appointment and a 8:40 appointment on the same day. Received 3 text messages for 8AM to confirm and fill out e-paper work. Same for the 8:40 AM appointment confirmed 3 times and filled out e-paper work. And two emails for both appointments asking for confirmation and again e-paper work. Called Wednesday and was told yes I have appointment for both times. The 8 was just a blood draw, the 8:40 was to check a seaman sample. I show up and was told I do not have a 8:40 appointment. I told her I better have a appointment because this is yours placing the sample on her desk. She claimed I threw the sample at her BTW the sample is in a brown paper bag. I might have said " I better have a appointment because this is yours " I little forcefully. But I did not throw anything. Again It is a plastic cup in a lunch size brown paper bag. In stead of looking for a solution it was no we cant see you for the 8:40 even with the sample. Calming it was canceled on the same day the appointment was made. Why did I get 3 text messages and emails? She runs off. Jacob shows up saying they will not see me because of inappropriate behavior claiming I threw the bag at her he was not there. Another person shows up and said Dr. Bruce will see me. So I go sit in a room maybe 5-10 minuets, no big deal. Dr. Bruce come in explaining how as men we have a tendencies to intimidate women. Went on to explain that he as a owner has to intervene on these issues. I explained everything above. 6 text messages 2 emails the phone call to confirm and as the CUSTOMER an you as the owner you need to know these issues that go on in your practice, and should address them. Now lets go back 3 years, My first appointment I waited over an hour in a room with out ever being seen. As I was walking out Dr. Bruce asked me where I was going. I explained to him I have been waiting a hour without word or anyone coming in to see me. The office manager call a couple days later to apologize. So I think everyone needs a second chance. How wrong I was....wait for it. So we reschedule Br Bruce saw me all is well. I made my decision to start testosterone. Once a dosage was determined I was sent down the hall to there pharmacy without being asked if I had a pharmacy I would like to use. I guess this is my ignorance, set up with syringes needles alcohol pads and a vile of T. $81.00 and would not file with my Insurance. Now I can get it with my insurance at zero cost...WTF. scammed again. And the practice owes me over $250.00 for over billing me and it's been 8 weeks and still have not got my money. Well I have a couple more visits with UA and in December I go on Medicare, I will be finding another urologist. Dr. Bruce, you are a great doctor and a great guy, but as owner please look at scheduling and billing of your practice. read more

Worst office to deal with I've ever experienced. I needed a prescription refilled and it took five calls, four of which were escalated to an office manager, to finally get resolved, weeks later, and I never received a call from an office manager. I just had a tele-visit scheduled at a certain time, called earlier to confirm it was a tele-visit, and was told I'd get a text or call right before the time of my appointment. Thirty minutes after the start of my appointment I call back and am told tele-visits are done at the end of the doctor's day. Was asked if that's ok, to which I said no, please fit me in between, at which point Jessica laughed at my request. I asked to speak to the office manager and Camilla came on and said she'd be calling me back right way. That was 20 minutes ago. Save yourself a headache and stay away from this practice. Dr. Bischoff was great, but not worth the headache of dealing with the rest of the incompetent staff. read more

Then, they " accidentally" hang up on you over and over if you ask ANY questions about ... anything or if you ask to be transferred. Then, they tell me someone will call me back to make an appointment. Wait, what was I on hold for, after i chose " make an appointment" in the recorded prompts? So now i have to wait for someone to call me back to make an appointment? I spent a total of 6 hours on the phone, getting hung up on, treated like i'm a bother and still got NOWHERE. I would give a 0 if possible. Prior to surgery to remove a kidney stone I went to the Pre Op. Was told by the Nurse (did not see Dr.) that I had a UTI and they would send it to the lab to determine the best antibiotic for me. I emailed the surgeon TWICE and asked about the meds. I received no reply. On the day of surgery the physician put in a stint. Within 48 hours I had sepsis and was ICU at Baylor Scott and White. The admitting physician told my husband "I will let you know in 48 hours if you need to call her children". Because of the excellent care at BSW and my internist and my husband, I survived. I was unable to walk along or climb stairs for 2 months. When I confronted the surgeon he denied knowing anything about my emails to him prior to surgery. Promised to get back to me. It has been 2 years. I even wrote him a letter--- nothing., MAKE SURE ANY DR YOU SEE READS HIS/HER EMAILS. IT CAN BE LIFE OR DEATH FOR YOU. read more

This review is for the Cedar Park location. I have been going to this location for a couple of years. During my most recent visit, for which I arrived 15 minutes early as requested, I was checked in and seen by the nurse in an acceptable time frame but then left in the small room waiting for PA Bonsall for 30 minutes. Getting concerned that I had been forgotten I opened the door several times and asked the nurses at the station, if there was a problem. Each time I was told "she is talking to the doctor".....coming soon. When she finally entered the room and I complained, her answer was "we are busy".....that answer and not even an apology is not o.k. in my book. If I hadn't had to pay up front for my visit I would have left after the first 10 minutes wait in the tiny cell. I hope this was a one time occurrence. Haven't decided if I want to give them another try. read more

I highly recommend Dr Bischoff and his PA Diane Bonsall. They are both excellent and caring medical professionals. I first was treated by PA Bonsall for an excessive urination issue that was very bothersome. She correctly diagnosed it and got me back to full health. I then used Dr. Bischoff for a vasectomy. It was a very easy procedure and the recovery was much faster than I anticipated (get the nitrous gas!) The entire Urology Austin experience is superb. IT is a very well run practice. I hopefully will not need to use their services again but I would if necessary - they are great. read more

First problem was when they tried to charge me $175 for my visit, when my copay was only $75. The doctor was fine and scheduled my procedure. Never heard anything else from them, including how much it would cost. Emailed, and they called(hence the two stars) and said they would have someone reach out to me. Filled out all documents online the day before, so no paper work before the App. I was placed in a examining room at 8:35:AM NICE early and on time or so I thought. Nurse came in ask all the questions BP etc... this is great. WAITED an hour and 15 minutes. nobody came and seen me, Not even the Doc will be with you in a few...nothing!!!!. I did everything to there standard, showed up early paper work early. Bur UA keep me waiting for over a hour. Finely walked out talked o the front desk, told them not to bill me or the Inc. company. Very poor service. If that's the level of service you get from the front office, what will you get from the Doctor?? read more

I saw 2 doctors then I had 2 surgeries and I saw one other doctor. The first two doctors: Dr. Mobley talked down to me. She grouped me in with all patients she has seen and didn't consider my situation may be different (which it was). The next, Dr. Friedman (Friedberg?) would not stop when I said stop. Then he would not stop when I yelled stop. His assistant did not know how to turn on nitrous oxide tank. I told Dr. Friedman to check. He would not. He told me to hold the mask to my face. (I've never heard of nitrous not having a strap). Then he told me to take off the mask and put the nozzle directly in my mouth. Ridiculous! Still, nothing came out. Not a little. Nothing. Dr. Loren Jones did surgery, followed by days of a catheter and a few weeks recovery time. This did not help. On a follow-up visit, he tried to use a camera, but I have so much scaring that it hurt a great deal and I yelled more than once. He did another surgery. He scraped the scaring. I was put to sleep prior to the surgery and told I needed to have catheter on for 24 hours. When I woke up, I was told I need to keep the catheter on for 7 days and the doctor was going to call and explain why. Well, he went on vacation and I didn't know what he did to me nor why I had to have this thing in me a week. Was it a mistake. Finally he called, told me about scaping the scaring (I hadn't known exactly what he was going to do in surgery) It did not help! There was another doctor that mostly just listened to my concerns. At least he listened even though he couldn't do anything at that point. It's been over 2 months since my last surgery. I am quite a bit worse than when I started with Urology Austin. It is very difficult to get used to the, most likely permanent, changes they did to my body. It sucks! If they say you need some further work on your body, get a second opinion from a doctor at a different company NOT a different doctor at the same company. Part of my urological health will never be the same after they got my money and performed a procedure that probably didn't need to get done. So far, one other doctor at another urology facility stated that he's not sure why they did that procedure. Additionally, my PCP told nothing indicated that I had problems with what they said I did; I went to Urology Austin for something different which they didn't seem to think was anything even though it hurt a lot. Turned out to be a bladder stone I eventually passed on my own. It was extremely painful, but nobody at UA thought it was anything to look into. I would never, never recommended anyone to go there! read more

Extremely disappointed with UA. I saw Diane Bonsall the nurse practitioner several times in 2020 due to kidney stone issues. She dismissed it as not hydrating enough and poor diet. I kept coming back due to more kidney stones being passed and even at one point she didn't believe me. She thought I was making it up and it was "impossible" (her words) for me to have so many. She didn't fill a script for pain reliever like she said she would and I suffered in pain until I passed it. I brought the stone to the office and her demeanor completely changed. She reluctantly took it and tried to avoid me because I was right and she was wrong. She was supposed to send off the stone to be tested. I never got the results back and still haven't to this day. She scheduled me for a CT to do upstairs. A week before my appointment I got a phone call from one of the receptionists that I haven't gone to ARA to do my imaging. I was confused because I was supposed to get it done in office. She said that there had been a last minute switch and they were sorry about not notifying me. So basically they wanted me to drop what I was doing and go. I refused and canceled my appointment. I've been seeing a new doctor in a new state and he did his due diligence. It turns out I have a vitamin D2 deficiency which a simple blood test would've caught and it is a very COMMON reason for kidney stones. It is also a big reason why they reoccur so quickly is because the deficiency is untreated. My new doctor was puzzled as to why UA could've missed something so textbook as this. I simply cannot recommend UA due to my experience and lack of due diligence. Recently my D2 levels have reached perfect levels and I have had zero problems all thanks to my new doctor. read more

I'm a self pay patient who wanted a second opinion. I called ahead and explained that - asking what it would cost to see a doctor. They explained that I have to prepay $250 and depending on what is done I may get some refunded or pay extra. The doctor who saw me (Cuelar), did not look me in the eyes for the first five minutes of the appointment. I was schocked. All he did was look at the papers that was given to him before I saw him. He examined me and I did a urine test. I was given his opinion. In all about 10 - 15 minutes. When I left, I asked reception if I there is anything else (half expecting a refund of some amount). "No, you are all paid up" I was told. I left for a trip to South Africa where the Urologist I saw actually looked me in the eye and gave me the confidence that if anyone is going to cut into a part of my body it would be this man. Upon my return I received a call saying I owe another $20.09. I explained that that was not what I was told. The girl was completely indifferent about it. She said they don't know how the doctor codes things. I told her again that I queried this before I left and was told I'm all paid up. She insisted that I pay them. Itold her that I am not impressed, that I will pay but that I am writing public reports about this experience. Her response was "Go ahead..." Shockingly poor bedside manner and customer service. I will never return to this facility, nor do I suggest anyone else does. read more

Once again, I was extremely disappointed at UA appointment. I went for what was supposed to be a pellet insertion with my 3rd different PA in as many visits. The dysfunction of this UA organization deserves a 0 rating. I have been getting pellets for years. every time I get shuffled to a different PA because they can't keep help, it's like a whole new world. Now I am told it will take three trips into town for pellets. One visit for blood, a second to talk about results (which have been steady for years) , a third for pellet insertion. This is just a big money grab. At one point in the past I could do blood and pellets same visit. Other times it was blood a week before pellets and review labs at pellet insertion. This is the second and last time they have done this to me. It is unreasonable to have to make three trips into the city for something that is the same over and over. If you do blood a week early it seems like a call about the lab results would be OK. read more

I can't rate the quality of care by Dr. Carl Bischoff because after waiting an hour and 10 minutes after my appointment he was still not available and I left. Some doctors don't appreciate the fact that patients have schedules, too. He and his office staff are jointly to blame for over-booking. It seems Urology Austin has a history of being disorganized and over-booking. Wish I knew that before making my appointment. Dr. Bischoll might be a great physician but, I don't have the time to waste to find out. Book an appointment at Urology Austin at your own risk. read more

I had my doctor send a referral to Urology Austin for Pelvic Floor PT on 9/14. 2 weeks after the referral was sent in I still have no idea if I can even get an appointment. I have called several times and been given incorrect information and then got a random email from the director of PT asking me if I wanted to be scheduled for PT after nearly 2 weeks of back and forth. Of course I want to schedule!! My doctor's nurse even called to try to get them to schedule me. So at his point I still don't even know if I can even be scheduled or not and wondering if I even want to do business with them. read more

I researched and interviewed a few doctors before choosing Dr. Carl Bischoff for a Radical Prostatectomy. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Today, 5 weeks after my surgery, the Physical Therapist that Dr. Bischoff referred said I'm on pace for the very best outcome possible with this type procedure. I'm attributing this to Dr. Bischoff's skill and experience with the Da Vinci robot and the before/after Physical Therapist care he recommended. Dr. Bischoff is smart, funny, friendly and his staff has always been very helpful. I couldn't be in better hands as I continue toward a complete cancer free recovery.
