Legal notice from parts supplier to Texas Electrical Services claiming I am liable for their unpaid bill.
Hammans S.

I had Texas Electrical Services upgrade my electrical panel and their team did a truly great job. I paid for the work and thought nothing more. A month passed and I started receiving legal notices from a parts supplier who claimed that I was now liable because Texas Electrical Services hadn't paid them for components used in the project. I immediately reached out to my account manager and asked to help get the issue resolved. They said they had. Another month passed by and I received another certified letter from the same supplier. I reached out to the account manager again who was shocked that it wasn't resolved but admitted that it was ultimately out of their control. It was being managed by the owner of Texas Electrical Services. I asked the account manager to have the owner call me so I can at least understand the situation. I never heard from the owner. I've since left voicemails and sent a text message. Whether Texas Electrical Services is having financial problems preventing payment, doesn't play nice with suppliers, or the claim is bogus -- I would expect the courtesy of a response from the owner. I would also expect the issue to be resolved quickly without becoming party to a legal liability. In sum, their team did a great job. The owner is unresponsive and potentially irresponsible. And the business may be insolvent or an untrustworthy partner. I will gladly update this review when the issue has been resolved because the team is top notch.

New can light installed in hallway
Billy W.

Steven and his team did an amazing job relocating our new pendant lights over our kitchen island and installing a new hallway can light! James and his crew showed up on time, were friendly and courteous, and were perfectionists in making sure the job was done well and to our liking! They were upfront about not doing Sheetrock repair, but provided an awesome referral of someone who they partner closely with that does. We will certainly be using their services again in the future.

Amazon Basics Smart Switches in a very crowded 3 gang box that had some very odd wiring. Came out looking great.
Evan C.

Called Texas Electrical Services to install some smart switches after discovering that my wiring in my switch box was pretty non-standard. Asahel and Chris were great. They installed the switches quickly and carefully and cleaned up everything. They also explained everything they were doing so I learned a lot. Since they were already there, I asked them for quote on installing a new outlet on a wall that didn't have one. They gave me a few options and were able to install it right then for an extremely reasonable price. Both projects came out looking great.

Installing a new outlet
Michael L.

These guys had better availability than similar competitors. We had to them install an outlet and run coax cable to a wall above our fireplace. Initially quoted $400 but they were so fair-minded that they only charged 345 because the job was a little simpler than they imagined. Highly recommend!

New frig installed 4 days later, breaker flipped again. I knew it was the breaker but I won't mess with that type of electrical issues. Sent a request through Yelp and was contacted by Russell Electric. He wasn't able to make it until Wednesday. After our conversation he decided to come out that same night. (I had just lost a lot of food with the old frig and was rather frustrated with it all) It was 9:45pm. It took him 45min to an hour. Fixed the issue in like 15 min and made sure all was well before he left. He knew what he was doing and he explained it as he did. He gave me some information about the breaker and put my mind to rest. Friendly, courteous and just all around great guy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAN! I appreciate the willingness to go the extra mile. He will be who I call if I ever need anything ever again. Thank you again! I slept well knowing this was not an issue anymore.

Zack did an excellent job installing the Tesla wall connector. He showed up on time, went through…read morehis plan, and got it installed neatly and without conduits. Everything was cleaned up and ready for me to set up. He had to cut some drywall to run the cable, but did it low behind my softener so it's not even visible. I highly recommend Grayzer for charger installs. They've been focused on them for a while, and it shows.

The first time they did it they installed a 240 volt outlet in my garage and I plugged a tesla mobile connector into that, worked well. The next time they did it at the new house, I thought they would do the same thing but apparently they stopped installing the mobile connectors. Now they only install the wall connector which is a large sci-fi looking thing that is permanently affixed to the wall. It's also more expensive than the mobile connector. None of this was made clear to me when we started the project with Grayzer. They came to my house, got about 90% done with the job then saw the equipment I had and said "sorry we don't do those anymore". They explained the situation to me but since I didn't have the equipment they wanted they couldn't finish. They did however insist on being fully paid for the job. Stupidly, I agreed to pay them and they left saying "call us when you have the wall connector". That was a mistake. Never fully pay for the work until the job is fully done! So I bought one and scheduled a time to finish at which point they said they would need to charge another trip fee to come back out. I explained that it wasn't made clear to me that I didn't have the right equipment until the job was almost complete but they didn't care. They were insistent that I give them another trip fee before they would come back. Frankly they were pretty rude about it too. Like really rude. Whoever I was emailing was belligerent and completely unprofessional. It was extremely frustrating. I tried to explain that as the professionals in this situation they should be the ones checking that all the equipment is ready to go before the job starts. At the time I didn't know the difference between a mobile connector and a wall connector. I didn't even know that tesla had multiple options for wall chargers. I had what I used the first time so I figured it would work. It's not that the trip fee was so much money but after having to drag this out over two visits, spend another $150 to upgrade to a wall connector, a trip fee on top of all that was a bit much. In my opinion, a reasonable company would just accept responsibility and waive the second trip fee. Or at least offer to split it. But not these guys. They dug their trench and they weren't coming out. It was childish and stupid and I'm embarrassed for them. And to boot, the people they sent out to finish up the job were jerks. One of them was yelling and cussing at somebody on their phone like a crazy person in my garage. Honestly, these guys are like school on a Sunday -- no class. I guess this is what happens when you get to be a popular company. Customer service and basic decency goes out the window because what do you care, you have plenty of business. Right? Yeah right.
