While on the OBX we stopped in to Austin Fish for lunch at the recommendation of a friend who lives here. We tried the crab cake sandwich, the grouper fingers with Mac n cheese and coleslaw, and the gumbo. Everything was tasty. Not the best grab and go lunch we had on the OBX, but definitely decent and we would go back!

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC / SEAFOOD / 10-02-21 / TAKE-OUT DINNER +The NC fresh, large shrimp was steamed and seasoned nicely. -The crawfish was not fresh; more than likely, frozen. -The snow crab legs were very small and dry. The quality was not that great. Stick with the local, fresh seafood offerings of the day!

We bought fresh shrimp and scallops and they were amazing! You could tell they were fresh and local. Good prices too.

We have been going here for years! Great little seafood market with fresh (& frozen; like Alaskan crab legs) seafood. They have fresh from the ocean, locally caught seafood & you can have them prepare it for you too, if you don't want to cook. They also sell a lot of accoutrements to go with your seafood and they have a nice little selection of beer and wine. Prices are reasonable & service is quick, friendly, and efficient.

KUDOS to Austin Fish for practicing strict safety standards to protect visitors and members of the Nags Head community!

Delicious and the umami of the fish radiates on the whole bowl. Amazing flavor and just right for my very picky tastebuds. We also had the special of the day which is Fried oysters and my husband had Fish of the day. They can get really busy when we first came in the first lady was quiet busy with other things and she didn't quite talk to us right away. I was beginning to get worried since i have experienced this is some businesses nearby, but when she was available she was pleasant to us and made sure our order was correct. The kids also had Mochiko fried chicken and Tacos shredded chicken. They said they liked it. It gets busy so if you don't want to seat outside in the heat make sure you come at 11:00 am.

Now if I want a tuna sandwich it is just the Dewey. It was good and I enjoy the Proof bun. Our tradition is to get it to go and eat it on the beach. Perfect. Poke was good. The fried chicken sandwich was really good. They forgot the side and gave my husband white instead of brown rice. I have never seen this place so busy so we will chalk it up to that.

This visit we had the blue crab taco, scallop taco, steamed oysters, snow crab legs, and the crab bisque. The bisque was SO good! And if you order the sweet potato fries...GET THEM! They come with a brown sugar butter sauce that's absolutely delicious. Good food, fun atmosphere, and a great place to enjoy a meal with family. We'll definitely be back on our next beach trip!

Everything was well prepared and very tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of the crab bisque--it was a little too rich for my personal taste--but others in our group thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere felt very welcoming and relaxing, too. My only real complaint is the seating: there aren't many standard tables, so you mostly sit at counters along the walls. The wooden stools are solid and not very comfortable; my back and others in our party all had the same issue by the end of the meal. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would recommend checking it out!

Hard to find in Richmond so if I have a chance to get them, I jump at the chance. The special of the day was a flounder basket. I was able to substitute clam strips for other items, and the basket included a nicely sized piece of flounder (fish of the day), heaping helping of clam strips, fries, hush puppies, and slaw. "Beer of the Day" was $2.00! Wife got the cheesesteak sub with fries. All food--as they tell you when you walk in is fried--is fried. Totally OK with that and it was very, very tasty. Friendly staff, items mostly homemade, clean restaurant, a clear view of an honest-to-goodness working dock. Exactly what we were looking for for our last night in Manteo area. If you have not been to the Marina and Grill...please get there for a fun, tasty, almost entirely homemade meal at very reasonable prices, rubbing elbows with locals and people coming off of the fishing day, just adds to the charm to this slightly off the beaten path gem.
