Before that, I'd had some rough experiences: An instructor in Dubai who yelled at me and ran errands during class time--then called me "bathmeez" (rude) when I asked her to stay on task. A Craigslist instructor in Austin who dropped me mid-lesson for calmly asking not to be shouted at. Being a young woman who looked even younger -- and dared to set boundaries - meant I was often treated like I didn't belong behind the wheel. Then I found Robert. He was calm, patient, and never once made me feel small for learning. His steady presence helped me rebuild confidence and feel safe behind the wheel. I passed my road test on the first try--and more importantly, I've been driving confidently ever since. I didn't leave a review back then, but I'm writing one now--because sometimes the things that shape us most don't get acknowledged in real time. Thank you, Robert. I still drive with the confidence you helped build.

I consider this as fraud to sign someone up for an unrelated service (just because it has to do with cars?) just because you signed up for their class. If you don't catch it on your credit card statement you'll be paying it forever because of how they charge it. It'll follow your credit card account even if you cancel that number and get a new one issued.

I am not a Christian. I did not sign up for a religious experience. If I wanted spiritual guidance, I would have gone to church, which I won't, because that is simply not who I am. Teach me to drive. That is literally your one job. George is also arrogant, acrimonious and loves to moralize at you like you are sitting in his congregation. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable and frankly offensive. Keep your religious views to yourself, this is a driving school not a place of worship. The cars are another story altogether. Ancient, dirty and falling apart. Every single lesson I was just hoping the car would survive long enough to get me back. It was embarrassing honestly, let alone unsafe. I walked away after spending so much money having learned absolutely nothing about driving. Not one useful thing. I joined Coastline Academy shortly after and the difference is night and day. Being there has shown me exactly how much this school dropped the ball and how little they actually care about teaching you anything. Avoid this scrapyard of a place. Seriously. Go anywhere else.

They are also very knowledgeable and patient and I was able to learn and pass my test thanks to their expertise and experience. Brandi was my main instructor and she was absolutely great. I also had Elias and Hector and they were very nice and easy to work with as well. Also shout out to Yolanda and Nalani for making booking and processing so smooth and easy. Overall, a great bunch of people and a complete pleasure to work with!

I thought I would come back and write an update of my entire experience with Austin Driving School…read more We signed my Son up and they would pick him up from school and take him for the class rooming learning class. That all worked out just fine and at the end of the 2 weeks he got his permit. The gal at the front desk made sure we had all of the paperwork, etc. in order to go down and get his drivers permit. My son then completed the behind the wheel training. They would even call us to remind us to book his next lesson. Be sure to call around 3pm or later for the South Austin location, we had no trouble getting through and they were always very helpful and friendly. Once my son completed the behind the wheel training, they gave him his completion certificate as well as a note attached with what he needs to have in order to get signed up for his behind the wheel test. Over all I was very happy with their service and I recommend using them :)

Very rude, acts like she doesn't need business from people that call in. They need to hire an answering service that can give them all the prices so we do t have to deal with that lady. She was rude and I had questions and she sounded like people that call in and have questions they are wasting her time horrible experience I will not give them my business. I was going to but the full package for my daughter now another driving school will get my money. Kindness goes along way and rudeness will destroy your business. Looking at your rating you don't care what you do or say just close down your business do everyone a favor.

There are also lots of other interesting things in the store as well. Though I wouldn't shop here if it weren't for the supplies I need as a Chinese medicine student. They also won't sell needles to the general public, which I like. You can, however, buy whatever herbs you like, but you should always have either Chinese medicine training or have a prescription from someone who does, because otherwise you won't know what you're doing. You can't just pick an herbal formula labeled simply for "stress" like you can in Western medicine. It doesn't work like that. I've never received any treatments from interns so I can't vouch for that, but I hear they're awesome. Their staff is very friendly and know me and my friends by name because we frequent there so much. :o) Plus! Every day they have a deal going on. I know Monday their herbs are 10-15% off, but I can't remember what the other days are.

I know they have all kinds of herbal medicine but I have not delved as of yet.
