Ryan came by to install new controller and service existing system. He walked me around the house and showed me areas of concern that we could address in the future as well as some ideas about landscaping. Ryan really added value by explaining the setup for the new controller and walking me through the setup process. Made me remember why I keep calling Austex for my sprinkler systems maintenance. Great job read more

We were having our fence repaired & the fence company broke an irrigation pipe. I called Austex Sprinklers & they came out right away fixed the pipe so the fence project can continue. I was so happy with their service I booked an irrigation inspection too! read more

Austex Sprinklers installed soakers around our house in one day and we're very professional. They came out quickly and responded quickly and were also very friendly! Definitely recommend to go with them for whatever your needs may be! We will be coming back to them for more jobs we have! read more

Top notch, high quality service. I have gone through 2 other spinkler companies before and they never get the job done correctly. Very friendly service at rates that I found attractive more than their competitors. Steiner Ranch, this is a great spinkler company to hire. read more

I have been using Austex for several years now, most recently two of zones were not turning off. Chris came by to help me out at the time scheduled, he went about investigating and within a few minutes he figured out what the issue was and explained to me why the issue was happening. Chris not only fixed the issue but went above and beyond by preventing it from happening again and most importantly taught me what to look for in case the issue arose again. Super service! Thank you Chris!! read more

What a great service by Anthony today! Thanks for answering all my questions, and detail explanations of my new RPZ replacement. Anthony was courteous, on time, friendly, and from what I tell, did quality work with care. Thanks! read more

Very professional, prompt, expert, and efficient. I was quite happy with my experience with them.

I wanted to replace my existing sprinkler controller with a Rachio smart controller but couldn't figure out how to remove the existing unit. Austex was quick to reply with a reasonable quote so I scheduled an appointment out. The initial date was several weeks out, not ideal but understandable with the various issues going on in the world right now. I received a call yesterday, letting me know they could squeeze me in due to a cancellation (a week and a half before my scheduled appointment). I said yes, and was very pleased with the service provided. The tech they sent was super patient and helped with setting up zones in the Rachio app (which I've had some experience with previously, but it was super helpful as he let me know the exact sprinkler types to put into the app which I wouldn't have known otherwise). Even if I had to wait another week it would have been worth the wait. Highly recommend. read more

Ryan and Austex Sprinklers did an amazing job getting my system running again after a pool install wrecked shop. Thank y'all very much! read more

We've been in the house three years, but only had one zone of our sprinkler system functioning, so we needed a system check-up as a level set and an obvious repair for a pitchfork-inflicted leak. Ian was super patient, efficient and got the whole of the system back online again. Got a bit frisky again with the pitchfork, so...I may need another visit...parts for drip tubing are not easily available. read more

Phil and his team performed to my expectation. They provided timely installation at a competitive price for my home in Dripping Springs. Very good communication through the entire process. I would recommend anyone who needs sprinkler installation to give them an opportunity. read more

Austin Sprinklers was the lowest bidder. They didn't require to inspect my irrigation system for $200 like other companies. They were quick and easy to work with from estimate, to scheduling, to change orders and dates, to installation. They did excellent work except that they buried flags and old irrigation equipment where they installed our new irrigation zone. They could have used the trash can that was in the backyard with them. No matter, I consider them my go to irrigation company now. read more

Okay - so this rating is simply for the responsiveness of the company. It turns out we're just too far out of their service area, which is sad because I was very interested in possibly working with them! I reached out requesting to schedule someone for a quote to install a new sprinkler system in our yard. I was contacted by Phil, the owner, within a few hours asking for contact information so the office could call me, which I greatly appreciated. When I spoke with the nice young lady on the phone, she let me know we were beyond their area, which was disappointing, as I mentioned. However, often when I ask for recommendations that would point me to a competitor, I'm finding more and more companies do not have anything to share. Not this one though. She was quick to provide me with the name of a company they partner with sometimes, and I was able to move forward on my quest to not have to manually water my sizeable back yard all summer long. Thank you for being what every business should be: open, honest, and truly interested in meeting the needs of your customers, even when you cannot service them yourselves. I will always point people your way if I think you might be able to help! read more

Tom replaced our sprinkler controller with the ease that comes from expertise and experience. He didn't bring the right drill and bits (left in another truck), but I lent him mine and it was no problem. While testing the sprinklers, he unclogged several and he and his partner replaced a popup that was buried too deep. Very nice. The only thing I dislike is Austex Sprinklers policy of not allowing customers to pay the technicians directly after the job is done. As long as payment is made by check or credit card--not cash--there should be no issues. read more

They did a great job fixing my valve box. Phil gave me a great price compared to other places. Showed up on time, fixed it quickly and were professional. I will be using them again in the future for any of my sprinkler problems. read more

The Austex Sprinklers people were terrific. Our automatic sprinkler system had not worked in weeks. They had someone come out to look at it soon after we called. Josh rapidly diagnosed the problem (a failed controller unit) and installed a replacement. In the course of the inspection, he found a few other minor issues that he was also able to fix. He was fast and very professional, getting the system up and running perfectly within an hour. We can't recommend Austex Sprinklers enough. read more

Our sprinkler system is aging in place as we are! Anthony and Josh did an amazing job this week updating and repairing the heads in these difficult, steamy days! Another BRAVO for their hard work and professionalism! read more

Updated review and rating: despite the scheduling issue they did reach back out and continue to offer the best remedy possible given the situation. In an effort to be understanding I can see they are trying, and in my opinion, that matters significantly. I have already found anther company to show up same day and fix the issue. But I believe Austex did the best they could given a rough situation. I had a scheduled appointment for 9am on a Friday. I get a phone call at 930am stating they can no longer make the appointment today. But could reschedule in 2 weeks..... read more

Price hurts, no denying it, however the service was prompt, expert, and cordial. I can't complain even a little about the knowledgeable and courteous gentlemen who fixed my sprinkler problems. I'll call them again if I have any further issues. Can't get a better recommendation than that. read more

I was amazed at how quickly Austex Sprinkler responded to our call for help on a leak at my home. It was just after we had our recent big freeze in late January early February and I know they had to be busy. Josh came out and got us up and running in no time and at a very reasonable price. I still have a lot more to do to upgrade my system and I will be calling Austex Sprinkler for sure. read more

We are closing on the sell of our house and needed to get our sprinkler system repaired. Anthony from Austex came out and quickly was able to fix the issues and get the system back up and running. Anthony was very friendly and professional. The service was priced perfectly as well. We will definitely use Austex Sprinklers again if we have any issues with our future house. read more

Cant say enough about this company! Installed my sprinkler system in a day and a half on a half acre and everything went smoothly! A few sprinkler heads had some issues and they came out within a few days and replaced them free of charge. Also had a few issues with some of the trenches that had caved in due to the hot summer exposing some irrigation lines. Phil the owner was quick to respond and within a week out here and not only filled in the caved in trenches but also filled a few low spots with the extra dirt. The exceptional level of customer service provided by this company has left me impressed! read more

Arrived when expected, called beforehand, showed up and did a thorough and fast fix of an open valve in our irrigation. Very friendly and reasonably priced! read more

We had a big landscaping project and needed sprinklers and sod installed. I reached out to Austex for an estimate and Phil, the owner, came to our house to do the estimate the next day, and he got back to us quickly with a quote. I got a few quotes and Austex was the most competitive based on the amount of sprinkler zones included for the price. Installation was scheduled pretty quickly and it only took a day to install, which blew my mind! There was a minor snafu with the sod installation, but Phil was quick to respond and his crew did a great job of fixing the error and meeting our expectations. He also sold us on the Rachio smart mobile app sprinkler system which we love because we can manage our sprinklers from our phones, which is super convenient! I would definitely recommend working with Austex, great communication, fair pricing, great team, and very responsive. (photos to come soon when fence is finished!) read more

We had Austex Sprinklers put in a few french drains and haul a couple of yards of river rock out of our home in south Austin earlier this spring in April. After the initial installation there was a bit of miscommunication between myself and the company over purchased sod, and while there was some initial frustration, Phil and his team did a great job of responding and getting us the agreed upon materials. After a month or so, we were having some flooding issues in the area in which they installed the initial system, ultimately Joseph and his team came out and in one day added two more drains and helped fix some issues with the initial installation. We've had two heavy downpours since and as of now have yet to have any other flooding problems. While it took some time to get to a finished product, Phil and the rest of the team at Austex were great at resolving conflicts and providing a work product that I appreciate. read more

I was extremely disappointed at the way this job was handled. I was charged hundreds of dollars for a leak that was not fixed. Only after the fact were we informed that their company does not perform this scope of work because the leak was originating under the driveway. The estimate process is there precisely to prevent this type of situation. If the initial estimator had done a proper inspection of the job site (and by the way, he KNEW that the mainline leak was from under the driveway because he was the one who saw the flood come up from the driveway cracks), he should have told us immediately that they weren't equipped to fix this type of leak. This would have been perfectly acceptable. We would have just moved on and picked a different company. But by providing an estimate and accepting the work, they made a commitment to fix the leak, and only afterwards informed us that it would be "impossible" for them. And had the audacity to try to charge us the full estimate amount for something that most certainly wasn't resolved. By the way, another irrigation company came out to quote and gave us a perfectly acceptable option of rerouting the other zones on the opposite side of the driveway through another water line. If their techs were properly trained (the estimator pretty much admitted that he was new to the company), they should have offered this as an option and kept the job. For such a highly rated company, this was truly a horrendous experience. I would stay away if you have any complicated sprinkler issues. read more

My experience with Austex was fantastic. I reached out via Yelp and got a quote within an hour. The office called me to setup an appointment and the tech (Anthony) was prompt and professional. When Anthony showed up I told him we needed to move 2 sprinkler heads about a foot each and repair a leak in the drip line. Anthony was courteous, answered all our questions and did the required work in a timely fashion. He even repaired another leak in the drip line that we were unaware of. I liked my experience with this company so much that I have hired them again to add drip lines to 2 other zones read more

Not for the digitally savvy. I asked them to come check out some drainage issues via Yelp messaging. They said to call to schedule an appointment. I asked if they could email me instead. It's been two weeks of going back and forth via email before they just started ignoring my messages. I'd get some days/times, respond with my preference and then be told that all those slots were full. How's it's 2019 and these companies don't have digital appointment scheduling is beyond me.... read more

Used them after a pool install to repair the irrigation system and add additional zones. Professional, knowledgeable and efficient! Used them a second time after our fences were replaced with stone walls that had deep footer, they moved the heads closer to the wall and made changes to the other zones (not related to the pool repair visit) to improve coverage. They are easy to work with and have recommended them to several friends. read more

Excellent company. Jack came out to give a complete system check and repair a dead zone. He found the buried valve, replaced it and suggested i replace 3 sprinkler heads to ensure coverage. He was very polite and courteous. The bill was way below what I thought it was going to be. I scheduled a week and a half out before they could come but it as worth the wait plus Jack arrived almost exactly at his 1:30 pm scheduled appointment time. read more

Josh is a true professional. He called me the day of service, and asked if he could come out SOONER than my appointment time! He replaced my old Hunter Pro-C system with a brand-new Rachio Series 3 system with an outdoor enclosure. He then walked me through installing the Rachio app, setting up the zones, schedules, etc. Josh has been out to our house before, and I look forward to having him back out again. A++++++ read more
