Austin and specifically Josh did a great job! I hadn't really inspected my sprinkler system for quite a while. so called Austex to come out and do complete inspection of system. Josh was great. He got here as scheduled, looked at every station, adjusted numerous sprinkler heads and replaced various heads broken or not covering certain areas. I immediately reached Alex; he was curteous and set up Gilbert to come and do the repair that afternoon. We set up a time, and he even showed up early! Gilbert quickly diagnosed the break in my main line, gave a reasonable estimate (especially considering he spent 2 1/2 hours), fixed it, tested it, tested all of my zones, and even did some adjustments and reprogrammed the control box. We called AUSTEX out to fix some existing sprinkler issues based on the stellar Yelp reviews. What we received was one of the best technicians we have had come out to our house in Logan. Throughout the process Logan filled us in on various options we had that were different than what we thought we needed. In a few cases these suggestions saved us money and improved our setup. We ended up calling AUSTEX again and had Logan install a new zone where we added grass. I highly recommend AUSTEX and Logan. read more

We have a new house and we have been having a difficult time with warranty repairs and such. I asked Austex to come out and just give us a second opinion about what is going on. They sent me a very experienced and knowledgable person to review our system. They were able to answer all our questions, check the whole system, set up the system correctly, ( the first time that has happened in a year with our builder) and let us know where we have red flags that the builder needs to fix. It was worth paying a small fee to be educated on how to use our system and to know why we are having troubles. I am so happy I gave them a call. We were extremely displeased with our experience with Austex. They were more in the pricey side so we were hoping that we would be getting a high-quality service. Although the sprinklers themselves work well, the sprinklers did not work when they completed the work and they had to come back out days later to get it working. The location of the sprinkler valves were all around the yard including one right in the middle of the yard, as well as one next to the driveway and in areas that are high traffic areas. Three of the trees in our backyard did not get any water at all. When we tried to get some of these valves moved we had a tremendous amount of challenge connecting and coordinating with the company. They wanted us to pay the full amount before completing the work. They also destroyed out front garden bed and left it with part of the partition missing! They would not repair it at all. I would research other companies instead of Austex. read more

The whole team was great, but Josh and Ramon in particular were professional and on top of things. Josh was fantastic about confirming the project plan with me, going over the site, and managing communication with the team. Ramon clearly knew his craft and kept on top of the details with the team as the installation progressed. The whole team did a wonderful job, and I was so pleased that Austex was able to make it all happen on the weekend I was booked to fly back into town, despite the crazy weather recently. Do not use this company if you want responsive and quality service. We originally requested our system to be repaired and they sent someone out a few days later - who was really late vs quoted time. Then they said they would have someone contact us regarding making repairs - we ended up having to follow-up with them. After two day of reschedules they finally showed up and ended up not repairing all the sprinklers that were flagged. Now we have a leaked control box and when asked to come fix it they quoted six weeks to get out. Highly suggest you look elsewhere as we already have. read more

I used Austex couple of months ago to fix my sprinkler system. They were very busy at that time but was able to get appointment after 2 weeks. I was helped by Alex and Preston. There are 2 heads not fixed so called again to let them know. Austex sent someone the very next day to address it. I was happy with the service. read more

I had an issue with high water usage since moving to Austin a few months ago. I was averaging $600-$700 per month on my water bill. After having the water co. visit and verify there were no leaks, I was able to isolate the high usage to my sprinler system, but had no clue where to go from there. A co-worker recommended Alex. When I called, he explained it was most likely not a leak or a bad valve, and that he'd help me over the phone for free. He spent a good 15 minutes with me on the phone, walking me through how to fix it while I was at my sprinkler box making the adjustments he recommended. I can't say enough about the service I received from Austex Sprinklers. We needed to have some of the sprinkler heads on our system adjusted, so we naturally called the company that originally installed it; however, they informed us they were too busy! I called a couple of other companies...some I had to leaves messages for and never heard back from and others were glad to come out but they charged a minimum hourly rate (ranging from $89 to $109) just for an estimate. Alex was super responsive and I had an appointment scheduled within a week of my call. Gilbert was the technician who came out...he checked our entire system to ensure adequate coverage and adjusted seven sprinkler heads. He completed his work within an hour...he was very knowledgeable and super responsive. What I like best was that he didn't try to do more work that absolutely needed. Great experience and service with Travis and Austex Sprinklers! I called them because my sprinkler system wasn't tuned right...bunch of dying grass spots amongst overly watered spots. I also had my fence replaced recently and a couple of the sprinkler heads were on the wrong side of the fence. Travis came out and thoroughly (and quickly) assessed the issues, gave me a quote, and then did the work, all in about 90 minutes. This involved replacing several nozzles, a couple of shafts, capping one head, and moving 3 others. Travis also reprogrammed my system for the most optimal performance and gave me a bunch of info and tips so I can be more self-sufficient in the future. Alex, Travis, and Gilbert were all wonderful. I needed to redesign an existing irrigation system, and Alex promptly came out to provide an estimate. Shortly thereafter, Travis and Gilbert came to do the work. A couple of months later, after planting sod and building a deck, I needed to tweak the system to account for the new lawn height and deck. They came out within a couple of days and made the changes for a very reasonable price. And when I found a leak, they came out the next day for a free warranty visit to fix it. Would highly recommend Alex from Austex Sprinklers. We just moved to the Austin area a few months ago and wanted to make sure the existing sprinkler system was working properly. Alex arrived promptly, gave me a reasonable estimate and scheduled the repairs the next week. He definitely had his hands full with all the problems this system had. He stayed here all day and got all the leaks fixed, figured out that some areas were not getting watered and came in close to the estimate. OMG! If you want quality service at a reasonable price, this company is for you. I had a suspected sprinkler system leak. Called Austex and out came Alex and Logan, two very special people. They went to work immediately and discovered my problem in no time. Wasn't my sprinkler system but appeared to be my main line to the house. This allowed me to focus on the area needing attention. On the same day, the owner Alex came out to give me a bid on replacing a window and gutters. Alex was knowledgable and so very helpful. He gave me the bids while he was here. Logan from Austex was awesome! He repaired a broken pipe and head, tested the system, and replaced some heads with newer ones. The old ones misted so much that in the heat of the summer most of the water evaporated before it hit the ground. The new heads don't mist so the water actually gets to the grass. I was going to aerate the next day so Logan marked each of the sprinkler heads for me, even making a trip to Lowe's to get enough flags to do the whole yard. I paid for the flags, but the labor was all his :) Not only was he on time and conscientious, he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job.
