Couple bug-a-boos: There's been a couple times when our clothes weren't ready by the finish date that was posted on our receipt. Luckily, we live right down the street so it wasn't a far trip, but we're busy people and it would have been nice not to have to stop back in! There was also a time when my husband's clothes got switched with someone else's. We didn't realize until we got home, so we had to go back. When all was said and done he did get the correct clothes back, but that was a headache we would have rather not had. Luckily, we're both forgiving people and due to the sheer convenience of this location, we will most likely continue to drop off our dry cleaning here.

This is my first review on yelp and a coincidence that this place is receiving its first review. Stating that my experience here was horrendous is an understatement. I was visiting this place for the first time and I was not sure about how to use the koisk and get the laundry card. In that process I swiped my credit card and found the laundry card in the slot,. I thought this was the card I have to use but did not understand why this koisk did not tell me how much money did it put on the card? I took it to the service window and asked the gentleman if this is the card I am supposed to use and the koisk did not tell how much is put on it after swiping my credit card. This is where the problem started. He took the landry card checked the value and looks at me and asks "tell me if you stole this card". I was just baffled. He was so rude and kept pesturing that I stole it. I explained him this is my first time and I am not sure what he is talking about. He says someone said they lost their card and its this one. Well doesn't that fool think for once that I could have found it instead of jumping to some conclusion? I seriously don't care what that idiot thinks but someone with such a cheap thought is nothing more than a weirdo. Some other lady later helped me get the landry card and she at least did not look at me in a suspecios manner. Well, I don't think I look suspecious too. I did my laundry and there was some balance left. I went back to the window and kept the laundry card on the desk and said I am not coming back and he can keep the useless card with him and swipe is whereever he has some itch. After some cool thought I could clearly see that this person was a racist and jumped to conclusion as I was brown skinned. So if anyone is looking for a laundry place, just stay away from this place, unless even you wanted to be treated like a thief by the uneducated owner of this place. BTW, the detergents are so over priced. There were some detergents marked with price written with a pen or some local printer. I think the owner is stealing by doing this. The place itself was not very clean and there is a problem with the parking. You loose a customer. read more

I have to say this place is a well maintained environment. The employees are so helpful and nice. I was in there Sunday afternoon. It was really crowded and the employees managed to have the place nice and clean. There was a situation were two young ladies were asked nicely by the employees not to go out the back door. And this two women started yelling and just swearing to the employees and other people around. I have to say the employees kept the situation in a nice proper manner. Where a bigger scene wasn't shown. But this ladies were just so rude and disrespectful. Have to say good job on the employees for taking care of the matter correctly and not get on their level of rudeness. read more

I was the second customer to arrive on Sunday morning, 07/26/15, and the place was incredibly clean. I was visiting friends in Oswego and I had three sleeping bags that I needed to wash. I was promptly greeted by Teresa - she was incredibly friendly and helpful. She helped me select the proper size machines and then she helped me get the washers loaded and running. Another attendant (Maria?) helped get the dryers going. Overall, a great experience! read more

The 2nd and 3rd pant had indentations of the inside material all over, which meant they kept the temperature on their iron too high. The next day, I went to the dry cleaners and showed all the markings on each pant to the guy that was working there. He seemed to be someone of importance because when I asked to speak with the manager, he was brought out. I told the guy that I got these pants dry cleaned at a dry cleaners located in downtown Chicago, and at that point, none of these markings were there. Then after wearing them to work, I gave them to Lux Cleaners and now all of these markings are there. I also informed him that each pant cost me roughly $40 to buy and now they are completely ruined. The guy had absolutely nothing helpful to say. Instead, he laughed at me and said that I created these markings. He basically thought I was there to con them into giving me some money back. I was stunned at his behavior and told him that instead of apologizing to him, he is insulting me. I also told him that I could care less about the money and if he had apologized to me then this situation would have been resolved, instead he just lost my business. I hope this message reaches many people in the surrounding area as I have high hopes that no one experiences what I experienced. Lux Cleaners is a horrible dry cleaners and they will NEVER admit when they have bad a mistake. They think we are all criminals, trying to get them to give us some money back. I would NEVER trust them with any of my clothes every again.

But this review is about the "wash and fold" services the store offers. I dropped off a queen bedspread and a sleeping bag one morning around 9:30am. I picked them up that night before 6pm and was charged about $15 each, which was the price I was quoted on the phone. No problem there. My complaint comes from the fact that, when I picked up the items, the job was NOT finished. When I got home and took the items out of their bags, I noticed that something wasn't right. The queen bedspread was fine; it looked cleaner and smelled very vaguely of soap. But the sleeping bag, which had been zipped up and folded, was not dry! I unzipped the bag and found that the entire inside of the sleeping bag was WET! I had to hang the unzipped sleeping bag on a clothes line for a couple days to allow it to dry completely. Maybe it's just me, but I thought "wash and fold" services included washing, DRYING, and folding. I'm glad I inspected the items when I got home. If I had just thrown the sleeping bag in a corner, I would have gotten a very moldy surprise the next time I needed that sleeping bag. Just a heads up. Everyone at the store seems very friendly, but maybe they're not that concerned about doing the job right. I'll probably try another "wash and fold" place next time. No sense paying $15 for a service that isn't fully provided.
