Save yourself a whole lot of money and wasted time and do NOT send your loved one here. I went…read morethere willingly from 2/21/2022 - 3/16/2022 then left AMA upon realizing how absolutely disgusting the patients were treated. During my stay, I witnessed numerous patients seize out and hit the floor. One patient had SIX seizures before the ambulance arrived. One BHT sat in the living room and watched him seize out (doing nothing) while the other BHT left him, alone, to seize out so he could run next door for the incompetent nurse who didn't make sure that he wouldn't bite his tongue, didn't roll him on his side, didn't put a cold washcloth on his forehead, all he did was put his head in his lap and watch him in horror as he continued to seize. The final straw was when one of my monitored calls with my mother (who was paying for my treatment out of pocket) was cut short unexpectedly. I was pissed off about seeing my therapist once in 2.5 weeks and told my mother I was going to go ama. As soon as the words came out of my mouth, my case manager, Lonnie, said "I'm hanging up the phone now." I said "You're kidding right? I'm in the middle of speaking to my mother." He said, "oh no, I'm not kidding" and hung up the phone while she was mid sentence then kicked me out of his office. So unbelievably not okay. My mother wrote him an email about how not okay it was and her emails are now saying "not delivered". How curious. Management cuts costs in every way that they can. They got rid of our "hot lunch". Now, 7 days a week, for lunch we receive a sandwich and a side salad. We get eggs, hash browns, and either sausage or bacon for breakfast every morning. They also got rid of making us snacks. Now it's just chips. Admissions will brag about their "luxurious accommodations" and tell you to bring a swimsuit. The pool water is tinted brown and has literally never been cleaned. If you bring a swimsuit it will only gather dust. If your loved one is seeking detox, I wish them the best of luck. This place is NOT safe. Their landscaping consists of huge cacti that someone could easily fall on (hello you have a bunch of drug addicts who are detoxing, who designed this hell hole?) and poke an eye out. I had to raise hell for a WEEK before we were given a friggen shower curtain for our shower in a room that four women shared. I was walked in on while showering and the woman complimented my "nice toned body" (incredibly uncomfortable). I had asked for a shower curtain before and after this incident and was ignored by staff. Patients are severely under medicated. One guy that I be-friended was detoxing from meth and given zero (0) detox meds. Only tylenol for the huge open sores all over his body. There is ZERO curriculum that is taught in this place. One guy, Rudy, "teaches" patients "how to stay sober" by talking about how many plates he can lift in the gym for entire class periods ALL DAY LONG. I wish I was kidding. If you choose to go here and realize how much of a horror story this place is and go AMA like I did, you have to walk down a 2 mile dirt road with all of your luggage. You are not allowed to call a Lyft or Uber prior to being kicked out of the house and onto the street in the desert in the middle of NOWHERE with zero cell reception. After you make it down the dirt road around the mountain and to the gate, it's another 5-7 mile walk into town where you'll finally get reception. They will refuse to drive you or allow you to call anyone for help or a ride. They will also refuse to give you any of your medication. I wasn't given my Effexor which can (and will) cause a seizure if stopped abruptly. I could go on with a lot of other incidents, but I'll stop here. This place doesn't care about you. They care about the paycheck. Look elsewhere. I wish I would've.

After two weeks of being at California Highlands, the facility sent my daughter to sober living. She was not ready after only two weeks. She ended up overdosing multiple times. My daughter also stated that California Highlands had alcohol sanitizer at the facility and an individual overdosed on the sanitizer and almost died. My sister said he was losing unconscious multiple times but the staff "didnt notice anything was wrong". Please be careful and do your research when trying to find treatment! Thanks!

They make a concerted effort to cater to her emotional and physical needs, ensuring that every day is filled with joy and dignity. This building may be a bit older, but it is very clean. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. I am so sad that it only a short term care facility, as I would love be to keep my mother here long term as my mother seems happier and healthier. After end-stage osteoarthritis in one leg and two fractures in the other, I found myself--a…read more77-year-old gal who had never been hospitalized--facing a non-weight-bearing recovery. My doctor recommended Sundance Creek Post Acute in Banning, so I went online to do a little research. Sundance Creek did not have the greatest reviews but then again the other facilities in this category did not fair that well either. So Sundance it was! It is established that online reviews for rehab centers can be mostly negative and grim. I decided that since my stay went as well as it did, it was incumbent upon me to make sure that my positive experiences deserved to be shared with others so that there is hope for those who are seeking a facility that offers promise. Following is my takeaway: EXCEPTIONAL CARE: All of the CNAs and LVNs were caring, helpful, and even funny, but I have a special shout-out to Louis Obioha. He has a truly caring CNA heart. If you had any anxiety before his shift started, his calming presence, while very caringly addressing your needs, leaves you with an "all is well" feeling throughout the rest of his shift. MEDICATION CART: "Singing Danny", Karla and Vanessa (LVNs) brought their knowledge of all the medications that you should be taking along with much cheer to the daily med passes. EXPERT THERAPY: The physical therapy team is top-tier and abundant. Their knowledge and encouragement were the primary drivers of my recovery. FACILITY & COMFORT: The facility is "clean as a whistle" thanks to Mr. Longie, who is hard at work by 4:00 AM., who takes great pride in his clean and shiny floors! The housekeeping staff were very thorough with their daily sweeping, dusting and mopping of our rooms. My room was very clean and bright, the bed was comfortable, and my linens were changed daily. LEADERSHIP: The Director, Mr. Brett Kendrick, is an empathetic leader who ensures every patient's needs are met. He wears many hats. Organizer. Peacemaker. Overseer. Facilitator and is able to pick up the slack of others when necessary. He truly is the anchor of this facility. SOCIAL LIFE: From bingo and crafts to church services, there was always something to do in the activity center. My only minor gripe is the food. For the Love of Benji. Can nothing be done to make institutional food palatable? That said, I have to tell you that my choice to stay at Sundance Creek was the absolute correct decision to make. I do not regret the option that I chose. If you need skilled nursing and rehab, Sundance Creek is absolutely worth your consideration. I am including a few pictures of what happiness looks like.

He has a catheter and was constantly getting infections because they did not flush is regularly, the nursing staff is always different so there is no way to build a relationship with his providers. They didn't evaluate his condition to advise or suggest care. For example he has Type 2 Diabetes. Foot care is especially important. I discovered that not only were they not cleaning him regularly but the condition of his feet would have warranted a need for a pediatrist as his toe nails were so bad no standard nail clippers could cut through. He also has dimensia and the head charge nurse made a comment to us that implied she not only didn't understand that his mood was not him speaking but also took it personally, proving they are not staffed well to handle patients requiring memory care.

this zero star review is 100% honest and is intended to be a warning to others. we are only…read morerelating our own experiences and opinions based on those. first off we can't recommend either of the doctors in this office. neither of them will use the applied modality that you request or works best for you. this office is outdated is not holistic, caring or should you say, helpful. first of all the thing to ask a patient or client is "the last time we did this did it work for you? are you able to tolerate any discomfort from it and do you want to do it again now?" whatever. in other words just get the individuals consent to perform a physical or otherwise procedure on them, golly especially when they're laying on the table like a James Bond 007 "... what are you going to do with me?" sort of thing, not verbatim. anyhow this is not intended to be funny at all. don't know what quote on quote holistic health practitioner would jab their fingers into a client's terrigoid area especially when they already have TMD and have recently had two root canals to their molar teeth. health practitioner and doctor knows what the signs of pain are because any sentient creature shows them. don't know if the tears that sprouted from my eyes were a physiological reaction to what she did or they were actually from pain that I was maybe via adrenaline disconnected from at the time. the office staff seems strangely nice although one of the young ladies in particular Seymour trustworthy, every time we went in we got a barrage of questions about our personal life and very odd laugh out loud compliments about what we would be wearing. in fact one of the doctors even not only told us we were wearing something the wrong way but showed us how we should be wearing it! but this review is not over yet about our teregoid. for about a week we had to use ice to one of them. literally could not talk, it freaking hurts and we had a thumbnail size sliver of a bruise weight of the back but perceptible, which was red and turned into a larger bruise. we couldn't talk. it hurt much less going to a dentist and getting a shot back there and recovering within 24 hours. won't go into any further detail but both doctors are not recommended at family chiropractic holistic wellness center on b e a u m o n t avenue and again, this review is meant to help and warn others. we were shouting in pain with legs locked like curtain rods until she quit. literally we cried. another tip is to not doubt your intuition and if you already don't completely trust someone such as a body worker, don't test what isn't a theory but something you already know. it's really hard to find any good health practitioner in this city or approximately near it, so we chose the one that was or at least appear to be, the nicest to us. so hear what was experienced was not only psychological boundary crossing but physical yes, injury. don't tell someone how it didn't feel because only they know how it feels. sorry if the review is a little too long but Yelp doesn't allow to go back and edit. we're using the voice feature and our jaw hurts like hell. we're hoping that means recovery and signs of painlessness to return.

So many of you patients have credit they owe you from when you paid cash on your visit and then your insurance ended up paying it so they have the payment from your insurance and your cash. 2nd they treat their employees with no respect at all , slam doors in our faces , and make us wash their dishes as if they're not capable of cleaning up after themselves, no employees get paid holidays maternity leave paid time off not even a bagel or donuts for any appreciation . 3rd they reuse the E stim pads over and over on your skin instead of throwing away after every use because their cheap! So say you come in one day and you didn't shower for personal reasons or in a rush and we used a e stim pad on you it's being reused on your skin next time you visit and then again until they no longer stick, they are located in the back of every patients folder. These people are nasty and I wouldn't continue care with a business who had no respect for their workers or patients.
