Normally, I wouldn't leave a negative review about an employee, but her rude and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially as the first person customers interact with. I recognized her from a previous salon where she worked as a manicurist and was fired for the same behavior--driving customers away. Upon reading other reviews, and many people complaining about LORENA, it seems like history might repeat itself here. I came in to have TWO nails fixed and was unexpectedly charged for a FULL manicure. When I calmly asked for clarification, she ignored me and abruptly shoved the card machine in my face. When I calmly persisted, she raised her voice, claiming the extra charge was because I had asked her to trim TWO cuticles. To make matters worse, I overheard her yelling at my manicurist for doing exactly that. I then watched her charge another customer the same price she charged me--for a full manicure and pedicure. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the salon as a whole. A front desk employee sets the tone for the entire visit, and there's simply no excuse for such rudeness and inconsistency. One became infected and I had to go to urgent care for antibiotics. It's just not worth saving a few dollars if it means risking your health. It is so difficult to find a good nail salon in Miami. Prices are going up and service and quality continues to go down. Aurora Nails Bar is no exception. I have visited this place 5 times and every visit has ranged from meh to complete disappointment. Every visit kept getting worse. You're probably wondering why I kept going back? I really wanted to give them a chance so I kept trying different nail techs. It's exhausting researching other nail salons to only continue to be disappointed. One of the biggest issue with this salon is there lack of safe infection control practices. Every mail tech had their own practice. Only 1/5 used tools that were sterilized and placed in individual wrap. The rest used the same tools that they used on other clients without cleaning them in between. With the exception of the first visit they cut my cuticles at every visit which resulted in me bleeding. I only got dip manicures and gel pedicures and the machine/tool they used on my nails to remove the dip was always too hot and burned. The second issue is that no one speaks English so when you provide feedback they cannot understand to make any adjustments. It is really unsafe to not be able to communicate being uncomfortable to your nail tech especially when they are hurting you. The third issue is the quality of their dip powder. Within days to 1 week, there was always chipping, cracking, and peeling. I had to go back for them to fix my nails and although they did, the same thing happened again, resulting in me looking for another nail salon. The salon is small and if you're waiting and there's no space in their waiting area you have to stand to wait. They do not have pedicure chairs so it's very awkward getting a pedicure. Very uncomfortable. Very poor hygiene practices. On top of all of this you have to pay for parking for this subpar treatment. Do yourself a favor and keep looking around. read more

Very Welcoming as soon as you walk in. You don't feel out of place. Although the shop is small the atmosphere is absolutely pleasant and easy to relax. Leia, was my technician and she was absolutely kind, easy to talk to and did a wonderful job on my pedi & medi. Mayerlin is the best ! I started going 4 months ago, and since I've been with her my nails have been stronger than ever. She always makes sure to give you advice or recommendations for the care of your nails. She is very delicate and takes good care of your nails. The service is the best from the technicians, they always offer you coffee and make sure you find the right color for you. The only service I don't like is the woman at the front desk, she always has an attitude when talking to her, whether on the phone or in person. She has an arrogant attitude. It makes your experience a little bad at first. But when you sit down with the technicians to do your nails, the experience changes because they treat you very well. What I always recommend is to call the place to make your appointment, since on the website there is always confusion regarding price and with whom you want to do your nails. I have seen problems where they put two girls in the same hour with the same technician because they both made their appointment online. Besides that, the place is amazing. This salon is a complete disappointment. They schedule appointments with specific manicurists but never stick to the time, and I almost never get the manicurist I request. The place is dirty, the receptionists are rude, and the noise is unbearable. The workstations for the manicurists are so cramped that it feels borderline unsafe. Don't bother! Really... don't bother. I'll pay more elsewhere. I was one of their first appointments. The station of the woman doing my acrylic fill was filthy, not just dirty, it was filthy. Her liquids were old and her acrylic was dirty, the table had old filling residue. She replaced her liquid before she started (thankfully). They list that they can use regular polish but after they paint your nails, they tell you they don't have a fan to dry them because they don't do regular polish. The woman didn't speak a word of English. In Spanish they were asking each other how to do certain things as if this was their first time doing nails. I chose them because their Instagram profile had beautiful images. After going there I question who actually did them. read more

The nail tech kept taking personal phone calls (multiple) while she worked on my nails, seemed distracted, and kept talking to the other nail techs while I had questions. I didn't mind her talking to other techs but I sat there for two hours in silence. I was struggling to stay awake. I asked her twice to clean my cuticles a little better and she still didn't entirely clean them. I even asked her to even out some of the nails but they still look a bit uneven to me. I've been going to Aurora Nails for a few months now. I like going because their nail techs are very talented . However on Wednesday I got two services done (mani/pedi). I got an infection on three of my fingers. I kindly call the shop to speak to the owner regarding huge issue. I told her that this was concerning because around the 1st time I went their nail tech cut me & didn't clean properly & it got worse. She proceeded to tell me that our bodies react to things differently. Basically not owning the situation but more so blaming the client for the infection lol. Rule #1 never blame the client. I told her I can gladly stop by the shop to show her or I can also send her pictures. I sent her an email with the pictures which she replied to saying she was going to review with the tech. Review what? These are the facts, there needs to be better hygiene in this place. My big toe started to hurt at the end of the night & I start looking and guess what? An INFECTION. I sent her another picture & the photos I have attached should tell you enough about what this place lacks. No sort of empathy or even trying to make it up for the client. My sister went to remove her acrylic somewhere else and she had fungus on her thumb and this is the only place we would get our nails done. She also told me that everything was disinfected. Literally sent me two screenshots of me sitting on the chair. She never sent videos of any kind showing that they "disinfected" anything. LIKE HOW DO I KNOW THAT? lol what a joke. Their receptionist Lorena is so rude and has 0% customer service skills. Please don't own shops and start businesses if you have no idea on how to treat clients that are contributing to your business. As for the owner Mariana, if she can't own up to something like this and try to accommodate I don't know what's left to say. I understand business won't lose but you lost two clients. I will gladly take my money elsewhere. This place is already expensive & on top of that I leave with an infection. Her response to my allegations is that it's impossible for this to happen at her salon. Take some ownership about the things happening at this establishment. The price is good so I tried to give them a chance twice, and both times I was completely disappointed. Last time I was there was last week, I was at station 7, the tech did not speak any English and when I told her I don't speak Spanish she looked very upset and stressed overall and she interrupted me to call a translator. Had been going here for months and loved Lidia! 3 weeks ago I went and the nail polish was old or something - so it started changing color and chipping within 10 hours of my appointment. Went back the next day and they were nice enough to have another girl redo then. She took off the gel and cut my cuticles again. Found this rather unnecessary, but she did it anyway. I went on a week and 1/2 vacation with cuts, then developed an infection, and ugly dry peeling skin that I've never had. My nails are thin and the surrounding skin looks awful. At first, the manager didn't realize I'd gone back the very next day to have them fixed. She mentioned she'd need to check the cameras to see "what really happened" and then lied and told me my cuticles weren't cut a second time. So they essentially called me a liar. This was so rude, disrespectful, and extremely offensive. Not to mention she said I should have called ASAP to get a "ticket" to redo the nails. Sorry, I was in the mountains of Wyoming and didn't think there was a timeframe to rectify poor service. Not to mention, paronychia (infection) takes up to a few days to develop. I am skeptical of this place's cleanliness (read other reviews). They don't even disinfect the pedicure tools! I arrived for my appointment and while I was being assisted another client arrived with an appointment for my same nail attendant. The manager told the nail attendant that she needed to release me so she could tend to the other client. I had the worst experience at this salon. I went on a Friday to get my nails done for my wedding reception which I have to postpone because I got a very bad toe infection thanks to this place. It has been very painful. I went to a podiatrist (podólogo) 3 days after my pedicure & now I'm taking 2 different antibiotics and 2 different pain medication. I contacted the owner Mariana sending her pictures with date and time and her answer is a suggestion to use neosporin with warm water and salt. Really??? What type of business owner are you? Let me start from the moment I walked in: the nail tech Iliany was doing her nails and was very happy about the design she had just got done so she kept staring at it, showing it to people, doing touch ups (not paying attention to the fact that I've already waited at the chair for five minutes) talking in Spanish and absolutely neglecting me after she realized I only speak English. She didn't ask what I wanted to do and just went ahead and started filing my old set, she cut me multiple times while filing my nails. Couldn't manage to get a simple almond shape right, so I asked her to redo most of my nails, that of course annoyed her so she got up and walked around. I was told from a translator that she's gonna fix the shape after she's done, which never happened. The way she applied gel polish afterwords was absolutely sloppy, she applied enormous amount of gel to each nail so it was all over my cuticles, she had to clean it up multiple times and the cherry on top of the cake is that I was way overcharged from what I was told over the phone when booking the appointment. read more
