We love this theater! Even though we live in Marietta, it is well worth the extra drive to make it here. The people are very friendly and laid-back, and the prices are more affordable than anywhere else, plus they have special pricing and $2 off combos on Tuesdays, so it is a great time to try it out. The theater, maybe because it is independent, sometimes gets new movies a few days before they actually premier. I love that you get free refills on drinks and popcorn of ANY size (only 1 refill for popcorn, but seriously, how much are you going to consume?), and that the bathrooms are always clean. My husband and I end up splitting a popcorn and drink, so the refills are very handy. The theater itself is great, with glass doors that do not let the sound or light bleed in. The seats are very comfortable too, and I must say that the cookies are awesome! It can be fun to play the miniature golf too. Everyone we have introduced the theater to also loves it. I have never had an issue with temperature, sound or film quality here. No, they do not have digital or Imax, but then again, the prices would be very inflated if that were the case. read more

There are not enough words to describe how much I love this theatre. My first visit there was to see the Great Gatsby. I love to stay till after the credits and the attendant who had to clean the theater, waited until I was finished to start cleaning. Wow! We ended up talking about our mutual love for the movies and I made a new friend! Every time I went, the staff was friendly and the popcorn was delicious! You can even get refills! They also have really awesome discounts on Tuesday's and Thursdays and they feature AWESOME midnight showing events...complete with staff and guests dressing up, etc. :-) They also hosted a can drive during Thanksgiving and so they care about their community, which is great! I've only had one problem there and it was when a movie had sound problems. Well, they gave us tickets to come back for a free movie and so I was sooo grateful! I fully recommend them! I want to give them 4.5 and the only reason for not giving them a five is because I wish they had a little more room in some of their theatres. But that's just a preference. It's still worth going!! read more

My family and I have been going to Aurora for a couple of years now and it's always been a fun experience. The theaters are comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and very nice. The whole place just has a different feel than the chain theaters and we love it. I have to specifically mention their summer 2014 Saturday midnight movies. I took my teenager to see the classic horror movie The Shining since he's recently discovered scary movies. The Shining is a great movie but Aurora turned it into an event that was really special. We both had a blast and he hasn't stopped talking about it. You guys helped me hit a parenting home run and I can't thank you enough! We'll be back! read more

Movie theater is as good as it gets. Awesome independent theater with plenty of specials and price cuts. Matinee tickets before noon every day and again before 6. Discounts for service people, seniors, students. Free refills on all sizes of popcorn, icees, and soda. Popcorn Thursday + matinee means you get to watch a movie with popcorn for less than $7. Cray. Not only that, but the theater is brand new with really sweet staff and small, cozy rooms. Nice, reclining seats without the hassle of watching a movie with hundreds of people. We've literally gone to a movie here every day since I've been back home on Christmas vacation. Can't get better in this area. read more

If you have kids or simply want to go to a theater where they treat you as a valuable customer, are polite and friendly, clean and comfortable, and the prices feel like you just walked back into the 80's, then you've found the right place. They are family friendly, offer discounts, and are just a really wonderful and friendly atmosphere. We go anytime we want to watch movies or play mini golf. We love Aurora and their staff and it's our theater of choice!!!! read more

Independently owned theater and golf course so they have to rely on customer service and word of mouth to succeed. And they have that in spades. They have the friendliest staff and great rates on movies and golf. I hope they never go out of business. Before the start of most movies an employee will greet the movie goers and thank them for coming and expresses to bring any concerns to their attention. And their mini golf is well taken care of. Great little place. read more

This is my favorite theater in this area. The seating is spacious and the space is clean. It took me a minute to figure out how to purchase tickets, but after that it was all good. What else do you need in a theater? read more

Best mini golf in town. The pirates ships are amazing. Very good place to bring the whole family for good old fun. Definitely the best mini golf, even better than ones in the mini golf capital of the world: pigeon forge. read more

I love the changes at Aurora Cineplex! It's a small but such a comfy theater! Seats are great, sound is great and staff is very friendly! It's never full even for the brand new movies. Although I am very happy that always can have a seat anywhere I want I'm worried that they may close due to lack of customers. That would be heartbreaking. It's my most favorite local movie theater and I hope it will stay open for a long-long time! P.S. miniature golf simply rocks! read more

Uh...think we are spoiled rotten with movie tavern. Thought we were slumming it when we caught the 405 showing of JOY. Thought it was weird the same line for golf, movie tickets, and movie food. Bathrooms were bad and nasty as hell!!! Don't know if my shoes were sticky from the soda in the theatre or pee on the bathroom floors. When my 12 year old walked out to go pee (not on the floor) and came back to sit down she was scared!!!! The ticket kid told her she needed to go back and show her ticket (which she lost) to him or else. ... wtf???? Only plus was the soda refills!! read more

This place has been my favorite find of my summer! This movie theater is right down the road from me in Roswell, located behind the shopping center with Hobby Lobby. It is a nice size building that offers a lot for reasonable prices. They offer movies at such discounted rates, you can't pass it up! I came here last week and watched a movie for $7. You can't beat that! They also offer several weekday specials, where you can get discounted movie tickets and discounted concessions. Their concessions are reasonable priced too and they also have a bakery counter that has tons of yummy looking baked goods. The theatre itself is a lot cleaner than I expected. No sticky floors here and the bathrooms were not trashed. I was in a smaller theater for the movie that I chose to see, but as I was walking by, it looked like they offered some larger theater too for the more popular, newly released movies. They do not offered reserved seating, so you do need to arrive early if you are picky about your seat. The seats are not recliner chairs, but they are still comfy. I plan to make a lot more visits here. read more

I love this place! Staff is friendly. I like the concept of unlimited popcorn and they have the flavored popcorn seasonings. I usually don't by popcorn at a movie theater but I make an exception at Aurora Cineplex. I like the self serve machine for purchasing movie tickets! read more

Terrible first experience. The Supervisor was rude and nonchalant. This is the first and only movie theater that I've been to that supposedly has an unwritten "bag policy". I carry my medications and machine with me everywhere I go just in case an emergency arises. The Supervisor approached me saying that I could not bring my backpack in the theater. He didn't ask to check it or even inquire about what was in it. He automatically suspected that I had food, liquor or other contents in the bag. In addition, I was told it is also to prevent people from bringing in weapons. I am a frequent movie goer, and this is the only time that I've had to deal with something like this. If there is an actual policy, then it needs to be visibly posted within the establishment and on the website. To automatically assume that someone is in the wrong...is wrong! I asked three separate employees what the policy is, and they all had different responses. Some people have medical conditions that may need immediate attention when a flare occurs. Furthermore, the theater possessed an unpleasant smell. After having such a poor experience within the first ten minutes of being there, I decided to leave. I definitely will not ever visit this theater again. First, and last time. read more

I LOVE that they do a movie that mommies can bring babies, so we don't have to miss all the great shows... however, i work so Friday morning doesn't work for me either... if offered on Sunday AM I would be there EVERY weekend! Love that they offer hot beverages too!! I am a huge chai latte and hot chocolate fan, it's such a nice treat instead of popcorn. :) read more

We took our family to the Fringe putt putt today and were very entertained. They have done a marvelous job renovating the place and everything is clean and crisp. The landscaping looked great and the fountains really made the place. The golf is 2 18 hole courses that are basic but challenging none the less. It is not too trendy with moving obstacles but it uses a lot of slopes to make it fun. I would definitely recommend this place for family entertainment. It is nice to have putt putt back in the neighborhood. read more

I've been coming to Aurora for years. A long time ago star time used to occupy this area and then Aurora came in and fixed it up. They have a great mini golf area right outside the theatre with two sections. The employees are usually teenagers but they are always nice, friendly, and helpful. (Which isn't always the case when being helped by high schoolers). Their employees are even better when on location at an event with their snow cone machine. The thing I appreciate most about this place is the realistic prices. They don't charge a fortune like some of these new upscale movies theaters do. They have daily deals that make going to the movies an affordable options for families with many kids. My personal favorite is popcorn Thursday's (which is not on a different day now I believe) where they have extreme deals on popcorn. I believe they also have combo deals on mini golf and a movie. In my many years of going here I have never had any issues and highly recommend! read more

I love Aurora Cinemas and Area 51 putt putt golf. Located where Startime in Roswell used to be-- but this is way better. Super clean, friendly theatre with comfortable stadium seating. The putt putt is all new too. I've made this my # 1 theatre I go to first in Roswell, much lower prices for tickets and concessions than AMC or Regal. I've seen at least 20 movies here since they opened a year ago and it has been a super experience everytime. read more

We took our 2 year old for her first movie and we were extremely pleased! Price was $7 for an adult ticket. We got a small drink and popcorn combo the popcorn had a free refill and our drinks were unlimited refills. It was not overly crowded. Overall extremely satisfied with it! Love out local theater. They really care about the community and go the extra mile. Tickets are actually reasonable so we can take the whole family. read more

This was definitely a nice theatre for being one of the locally owned. Tickets are a tad cheaper and the food is moderately priced. A hot dog and coke cost $7.25. I'm pretty much comfortable in any of the movie theaters and these have stadium seats with cloth seats that tilt back and cup holders that go up and down. If you're the leather recliner with a tray and lots of leg room this may not be the spot for you. The staff were all super friendly and the place was very clean. We've played mini gold there before with our 3 boys and absolutely had a blast. It's a nice place for some family time. read more

We love this theater!!! There is always a cool original painting/drawing on the windows having to do with a popular release, they have made from scratch cookies and brownies, free refills on sodas, a mini golf course out front, and super friendly staff. This place would be absolutely perfect for a date night or a family night. Movie, mini golf, and dessert. We haven't checked out the benefits of their loyalty card program yet, but we plan on it because this will definitely become our go to theater. I was tempted to give it 4 stars because it's not very big and they have fewer showings of new releases than the real big theaters, and it's a little hard to find the first time because the sign out on the main road is NOT where the theater actually is, but honestly all the other perks out weigh that. I hope the managers and/or owners see this because it truly has been a wonderful experience each time we've gone. Tonight the power went out during the show, but they worked on it as quickly as they could and got the movie up and running fairly quickly considering the storm outside. So the night wasn't ruined, it was still a great time! read more

I really can't say enough wonderful things about this movie theatre! The owners have completely turned this old run down theatre into an amazing family experience. If you are looking for a day of fun, I highly recommend Aurora!! Mini golf, movies, and lots of events going on throughout the month. read more

This place is awesome. Its friendly to everyone. I love that we still have some mom and pop style movie theaters, like this one in Georgia. There so far the best in customer service and their coming up some great ideas like, the Saturday midnight screenings. 'I went to see Fight Club last Saturday, my 1st time seeing it, love it. They got creative with the screening as in they did a kewl intro and after the filx, they spray paint the some of movie posters, like in the movie. I love it " Its the only theater that has a mini golf course In addition tgey have I think one of the best rewards program around. Please check them out, they love ya to come. read more

This theater makes me love going to the movies, the staff are generally amazing, I have never met a member that did not seem happy to be working there. I am treated like a beloved family member going for a night at the movies and not an annoyance. The seats are the second or third most comfortable I have sat on in a theater. Tickets and concessions are cheap. If you have not been to this theater, give yourself a treat and go. Also, they staff will sometime come in and make announcements, sing, who knowswhat else. Since this place opened, the Mr. and I have all but refused to go anywhere else for our cinematic adventures. It's comfy! It's clean! It has an awesome crazy golf course outside! It plays all the things that we like! The screens themselves are great, as I'm barely 5'4 and he's upwards of 6'4, and yet we get both comfort and a great view - and without him blocking anyone else! - wherever we sit. I really like how everybody there gets into the spirit of whatever the big new blockbuster is, and we've had nothing but fabulous service all round. Nice job, guys! read more

I visited the movie theatre with my brother, niece and son a couple of weeks ago and the whole staff was friendly. The manager saw me and my brother were busy getting popcorn so they gave our kids a little toy to entertain themselves and the manager was so accommodating! Wow, what an upgrade! Incredibly cheap tickets for first run movies, lots of snack options, friendly staff, and a remarkable decrease in the number of creepers roaming the parking lot! The owners of Aurora have done a great job rehabbing this space and making its potential a reality. They have gutted a lot of the interior, repainted, and put in new, incredibly comfortable seats. A huge step above what it used to be. And the prices! $9 for adults, and on Tuesday the price is $7 for adults all day. Free refills on any sized drink and any sized popcorn. THIS IS AN AMAZING DEAL. Drinks are self serve, which eliminates waiting in line if you need a refill during the movie. The service here has always been great. I really, really want to see this independent theater thrive. Next time you want to see a film, check out Aurora, and then play a round of mini-golf at the Fringe directly next door. You won't be disappointed! read more

This place is AWESOME!!!!!!!! I was so impressed with this theater because it excels in every way. It is beautiful, clean and well run. They have plenty of people working so buying your tickets and snacks is fast and pleasant. They have a self-service drinks counter where you can make your drink exactly as you like it and even offer the flavored popcorn shakers for free. The best thing about this place is the staff. Everyone is helpful and friendly. As I was walking back from getting the kids refills on their medium popcorns and drinks, a staff member was walking down the hall in the other direction. He took one look at me with my arms full and ran over to open the door for me and asked if he could help me carry them the rest of the way. At the end of the movie, another staff member asked to put away the boosters for the little kids. Everyone smiles and goes out of their way to make the movie experience happy for everyone. I have never even thought to review a movie theater before because they are all so aggressively mediocre. This one sets a whole new standard! The only thing negative is that is a little hard to find. My GPS directed me to the correct shopping center, but you have to go around to the back off the main road to find the entrance. Make the effort to find it because it makes movies more fun when you are in a clean, friendly place with good snacks at a great price. read more

This is by far our favorite local cinema, mostly because it has a homey, friendly feel to it.
