Not only did he forget, they went to 2, count em' 2 movies, got Popcorn, a slushie, and Skittles, all before the Smurf's movie. So I called the theatre (at 5pm on a Saturday no less, so it was busy!) and luckily Izzy answered the phone and was BEYOND helpful! She listened, was knowledgeable and kind, and then went to ask her manager for the best way to get the points added onto my account since my husband decided to throw away the receipts. Lol. Izzy went above and beyond, and her customer service level is truly appreciated! She is an asset to the company!! Point, Blank, Period! As info, we'd never heard of Marcus Theaters before since we are from out of state. We moved to Woodstock, GA from Missouri 2 years ago and are happy to have found this hidden gem! In Florida, where I'm originally from, we have Cine Bistro, which offers waiter service in the theater before the movie starts and I thought this was similar to that but it's not. There was no waiter service. They have a regular snack counter and a separate counter for other food options like burgers and the like. They do have a full bar in the lobby. I was disappointed to learn that they had no breakfast food options at all. For a 10AM movie, we thought they might have a breakfast sandwich or something like that but they only had lunch options, so we walked over to the Dunkin Donuts in the same shopping center and had a quick breakfast before the movie. The recliners were comfortable and had the option for heating, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a decent experience. I would return with my daughter for another movie but only to indulge her. Not because there is anything wrong with the theater but because hubby and I much prefer to watch movies at home. Going out to an official theater is just no longer appealing. My house is more comfortable, food options are far better for a lot less money, there aren't any annoying viewers around me, and the best part is, I can pause for potty breaks without missing a thing. If you are going to go out for a movie, then Movie Tavern is a fine option. I personally just don't see the appeal of movies in theater anymore.

The seats are an absolute treat--super comfortable and honestly a pleasant surprise on my most recent visit. My dad came with me that time and absolutely loved it. Their variety of alcoholic beverages is another big plus and makes the experience even better. Between the clean seats, quality screens, and the friendly atmosphere, this theater checks all the boxes. The movie theater industry may be considered "dying," but you'd never know it walking into this place. GTC Merchants Walk Cinemas keeps the movie-going experience alive and well.
