Sometimes you just want to have fun! And sometimes you want to go back to when you were a kid. Blue Ghost Arcade bar is located in Downtown Woodstock. It is easy to locate. It's in a shopping center with several food and other establishments. When I was a teen, I remember going with friends to arcade to hang out and meet boys. Blue Ghost has several classic arcade games like centipede, Tetris, Mario Bros, Super Mario Brothers, Tekken, Mortal Kombat and many more. It has many board games behind the front desk you can get to play at the tables throughout. There are flat screens up front with couches that can be reserved for parties. You pay $15 per person to play all you want until closing. Monthly membership is $60 and don't recall the annual rate. Not bad considering how many quarters I remember pumping into these machines as a kid. Adults and kids are allowed. They have theme nights through the week. The bar has a decent selection for an adult beverage. No food which is the drawback. You can bring outside food in. You can Doordash or have food delivered. I think if they had food be 5 stars for me. The nostalgia from playing so many old games from my teens did it for me. Check it out for a laid back date night. Take the kids and chill out. They do have Xbox and Playstation as well.

"The gaming world is a complete mystery to me! Well, I did play Pac Man and Frogger using big machines at an arcade back in the '80s." Doug Jones I also grew up in the 80's arcades. I still remember the exhilaration of mounting our bikes with a pocket full of quarters and heading to the arcade at the mall. I'll always remember stepping into the electric energy of the lights and sounds of the arcade. Coupled with the opportunity of meeting girls, there was nothing else like it for a fourteen year old. I spent many hours, and many quarters playing Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Galaga, and Centipede. Later on it was Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, and Killer Instinct. Blue Ghost has them all. For $15 you get a wristband and unlimited play all day, even if you leave to take in the rest of downtown Woodstock. With no need for quarters, you can go from game to game, and time really does fly as you challenge yourself on the row of pinball machines and classic games. There is a bar available Monday through Saturday, something we did not have in the 80's. I loved Blue Ghost, and will definitely be back. Thinking about growing a mullet again!

Cool VHS wall, those are really vhs tapes.

For $15 you get an all day play pass. Games range from retro cabinets to a bit more updated ones, pinball machines, and game consoles. Behind the counter were a large library of board games. The team here was really helpful when I asked to get set up on the Nintendo switch. Blue ghost has a chill atmosphere where both kids and adults can enjoy. I tried out the bob omb a gin that was pretty good in addition to a local cider. There's also snacks that you can purchase here. Blue ghost is a cool spot located right outside of downtown Woodstock, great for lounging around with friends, play some Jack box, or just popping in solo dolo for a drink and to get a high score on a pin ball machine. Unrelated idk who ASS is but they got a high score on a lot of games there.

Kris and his team are family oriented and has a lot to offer here for the kids or the kid in the adults that just want to play with other grown-ups for a bit in an open, friendly environment! They are in the works of creating more events but very open to feedback as well as suggestions and ideas for events, which is a big thing that I like about this place! Not many businesses the community can call something that they really share like that. Other things that I noticed (as one might in a place like this) is the cleanliness and the organization of the place. They really do keep it presentable and clean which is important to help keep patrons healthy and the germs away! This was something I pointed out and they told me that they keep the place clean as possible on a regular basis. I can get behind this! So, if you are looking for the next memorable birthday bash for your kids, a place for them to play while you have a date of your own, or you just want to check out the latest and greatest games in a laid back environment for a great price, give them a call and check this place out! You heard it from me first. This place has potential to be a highlight in the Kennesaw community!

However, this location really missed the mark all around. The bowling and games in particular are not well-maintained. - Food: We ordered the cheese stuffed crust pizza but they later told us the kitchen had run out (even though it was 6:30pm at the beginning of the week). The seasonal fruit that came with the kids meal was a very meager portion of 2 tiny watermelon pieces. - Bowling: They initially gave us Lane 5 but the right bumper was stuck in the up position. The worst part was that they admitted they knew that it was broken. On top of that, just a short while later, they gave the same lane to a new group!! I couldn't believe it. They reassigned us to Lane 6, which also had a broken bumper (half of the left bumper was gone). - Games: many of the games were broken and we wasted game points on them. The VR headset kept getting loose when we tried to put it in the tightest position. The basketball game to the very right didn't register points. The soccer game was not working at all. The bouncing tile game was missing tiles. One of the large basketball games got the balls stuck in the net. Overall, I would not recommend this location and would try to avoid it if I could.

Flippin' Ladies Night was a blast. Amazing humans, great vibes, and enough pinball to activate my inner feral arcade goblin in the best way possible. Here's what I loved: you pay for time, not per game. Which means unlimited pinball + arcade chaos while sipping drinks from the bar, vibing to good music, and making new friends between flippers. It's basically a retro playground for grownups who still love buttons that go clack. The atmosphere is welcoming, fun, and delightfully unpretentious. One minute you're strangers, the next minute you're cheering each other on like you've been in a league together for years. I came in spontaneous... next time I might actually plan ahead because WOW. Also, firm believer in this life rule: if it's not a hell yes, it's a hell no. Well friends... this place is a HELL YES. 10/10 would wander in again. Bring friends. Make friends. Flip everything.

They have a decent variety of pinball machines. They also have classic arcade games. They offer a variety of beers and snack which is nice. They also have lots of seating and stools. Stools are great because you can play while you sit which is great. Now for the bad. If you're looking for a classic arcade feel this is not the place. It's so quiet! Really all we heard was the ambient music (80s-90s hair bands which I love) but not why I'm here. Classic arcades are filled with the sounds of the games. Sadly there was little of that. Many of the video games had volume so low we couldn't hear them at all. The ones we could we had to strain to hear it. Also the upkeep of the games was not great. The terminator gun didn't work well at all, QBert was down, The Simpsons was down, dig dug was down. Star Wars was a 1-up system you can buy at Walmart and worn out, terrible experience. Many of the joy sticks were in need of maintenance as well. The Neo-Geo was not a MVS but rather a poor emulator that had color problems and terrible video tearing plus awful audio. Let's talk about the pinball machines. Most were modern machines that are still available for purchase. I saw a couple older ones but there was no information provided about the age. Overall this just okay. Many of the machines are not taken care of and this really ruins the experience for gamers.

If I could give negative, I would have! TERRIBLE! Terrible! Terrible!…read more This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of the year -- my little nephew's birthday. Instead, Mountasia turned it into a complete disaster that left us stressed, embarrassed, and heartbroken. From the start, it was chaos. They wrote down the wrong date, so when we arrived, it looked like we were the ones unprepared. Imagine showing up with excited kids and family only to feel like you're the problem when you did everything right. The party room wasn't ready until an hour late, the food came out way behind schedule, and the cake -- the centerpiece of the whole celebration -- was delayed so long that some guests gave up and left before even seeing it. The children were restless, confused, and disappointed. There was no service whatsoever. We didn't get the water bottles we paid for, staff disappeared when we needed them most, and instead of enjoying the party, we were running around begging for help. I couldn't even focus on the kids. My heart sank when my nephew fell and started bleeding because I was busy chasing staff down instead of being there with him. That's the kind of day it was. To make matters worse, when the food finally came, staff acted like it was a burden to serve the chicken we had chosen. They literally said, "Most people just order pizza." If you can't serve what you advertise, then don't put it on the menu. We paid for it -- we deserved it without the attitude. Even something as small as buying a plush toy turned into a 30-minute wait at an empty register because, apparently, "they're short on staff." And the final blow? My sister called management afterwards, desperate for some kind of acknowledgment or apology. Instead, she was mocked. They told her she "wasn't clear," sarcastically wished her "good luck getting a refund," refused to give their names, pretended to be managers, and then hung up on her. Who does that to a parent after ruining a child's birthday? I cannot express the disappointment and sadness we felt. We paid for a party package, but what we got was stress, humiliation, and tears. My nephew deserved joy, laughter, and celebration. Instead, Mountasia took that away from him and from us. Please -- if you love your children, if you respect your family and your time, stay far, far away from this place. They don't just ruin parties, they ruin memories that you can never get back.
