I like the Crete location. I especially like the buffets they offer sometimes. My only issue is that their pizzas can lean towards the salty side. read more

After a long day from the city, we really were craving pizza, and since it wasn't far from home nor the metra, we picked Aurelio's in University Park. The building and interior is so cozy, warm, and welcoming. The staff is super sweet, and patient. The service is just outstanding. The food was hot, yummy, and filled our tummies perfectly. We got the Poppers, and a sausage and onion pizza with extra sauce. Extremely happy with the outcome of this location. And we will be visiting again. read more

The pizza is great when it has enough sauce. However, I've had a few pizzas that were very dry with hardly any sauce. The buffet pizza has less sauce than the regular pizza. Their slogan is "It's the Sauce" so why skimp on the sauce? read more

Ordered two Italian beefs to go. They were the worst beefs we have ever eaten. The beef was flavorless, except for the excessive amount of salt! Plus, they were small and overpriced. Total waste of money! read more

The best Aurelio's out of all of them for sure . Everything was cooked to perfection . Even tho I got there early the pizza was done I thought it wouldn't be right or cold but it was perfect. The employees were very nice but the patrons . Lmao " what are you doing in this part of town" vibes . The stares were crazy but good thing I didn't dine in read more

I could lick a block of salt and consume less salt than their pizza. Almost immediately, my lips dried out and my legs swelled. It took 3 days to be able to quench my thirst again. It borderline inedible. Those who have salt restricted diets could have serious health issues eating here. There are plenty of better and cheaper pizza out there. read more

Aurelio's is and was and continues to be the king of thin crust pizza in the south suburbs! The pies are always delicious. The staff is always courteous, and being in that dining room reminds me of all the meals I had there with my family as a child. I just love being there! I hope Aurelio's Homewood will be open for decades and decades to come. Every generation deserves this spectacular experience. read more

I went here for a birthday/graduation party. Lovely little spot. The food was delicious. The creamy garlic dressing is not too thick and covers a salad nicely. The sausage and peppers are the superstar for me. Never had them taste this great anywhere else. Baked mostoccoli was rich and gave a very home cooked feeling. Chicken was not dry. So this was a plus for me. There were multiple pizzas, but I ate too much of everything else before I got to them. So I can't provide an assessment of the pizza, except that they smelled great. We had plenty of pitchers of water at the table. There were pitchers of op, but they were empty. I am not sure if there was a specific amount of refills for the party. So I won't complain. read more

We ordered a cheese pizza which was made with cheddar cheese. It was awful. Like eating a cracker with charred cheese on top.

This place is so cute! It has an old school rustic charm. The cheese sticks were very good. The pizza was even better! I highly recommend this place! read more

Aurelio's pizza chain has been around since I was a kid. Since then, the quality has been consistent. The sauce, fresh veggies, and crispy thin-crust keep me coming back for more. We stopped by for pizza and wine and were not disappointed. The pizza was thin and crispy and hit the spot. The service was wonderful and everyone greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. I regret not taking photos of the beautiful fireplace and the festive Christmas decorations inside but my phone needed to be charged. Believe me, when I tell you, it was gorgeous, homey, and memorable. read more

Ordered a meatball sub takeout, tipped $5 and drove 15 minutes home to open up the wrapper and realize they used horse manure to make my sandwich! Inexcusable. Look at this thing. It's fine. The food is usually pretty good but the prices make it not worth it. They used to be a little overpriced, but worth it. Now the prices are so high it's cheaper to order somewhere else through Grubhub. We still get it on occasion because we do like the food. But very seldom because all they seem to care about is price gouging read more

I'm confused as to why this Pizza parlor has such a low rating. My Blue Island born husband talks about Aurelios all the time. I should mention we live in California , and I'm a native. Let me just say, I loved it! I loved the thin crispy, cheesy crust. In California we quite often get a supper soggy crust, with an overload of toppings which makes it impossible to eat. Then there's the sauce! I have never tasted anything so delicious. I am already craving it. My husband says, we can actually have it shipped to California. Do, we will be doing that for a special occasion. We will keep you posted! read more

I enjoyed Aurelio's! After a three hour drive in rush hour from Wisconsin, Aurelio's hit the spot. Also, we didn't find too many other options that were relatively close to Balmoral Park. We started with the Chicken Tenders. It came with ranch. I was immediately impressed by the breading and how good the chicken was. Though, when it comes to fried foods, I'm pretty easy to please. For the pizza, we ordered a 15", half pepperoni, and half mushroom, bacon, and chicken on thin crust. The thin crust was pretty good! We obviously couldn't finish it all, and it was still good the next day. I'll admit I had to microwave it rather than put it in the toaster oven, because the microwave was all my motel had. I'll definitely come back if I'm at another horse show! read more

This is my favorite pizza and my favorite location of Aurelio's. I consistently get delicious pizza every time I order. I live in the city but my family is addicted to this place so almost every time I'm back in the suburbs we go there, and they go there about once a week, if not more. They order carryout and eat in regularly and service and food are always great. I don't really get all the bad reviews because I've never experienced anything but "great" here. read more

Recently ordered food for delivery. The meatball sandwiches were huge and came with chips and pickles. The anti-pasto salad was fresh and delicious and came with dressing and bread. We gave the delivery person a good tip because the food came earlier than they told us. All in all, a great experience. I will say, several years ago, there did appear to be some kind of change because their food was less than good. It appears to me that the problems have been corrected because everything was great this time around. read more

Aurelios as a brand is in general a good example of tasty south suburban chicago style thin crust pizza (tavern cut/ party cut). However the Crete location has in recent years changed and the quality is now terrible. Other locations i've had recently seem to be on par with the Aurelios i think people would expect. The Crete location however is way off. More agitating still is that even though the quality is lower the price sure isn't. Its a shame. This was once a top place to get this style of pizza. Joe Aurelio would NOT send you here read more

they messed up the order, gave us half sausage and half pepperoni and sausage although we requested half pepperoni and half sausage.

Of all the Aurelio's location I have tried, this is my least favorite. The pizza is off, it's difficult to describe, it's just not Aurelio's pizza, in my opinion. There are other items on the menu that are decent, the wings being one of them, but, when you go to Aurelio's it is for pizza. The service is always very good, and friendly. I have not tried the buffet, but have heard that it is pretty good. read more

Horrible!! I ordered two pizzas on Super Sunday, got them home and they had black bumbles( burnt ) all throughout the pizza. I called the manager, HE DID NOT CARE!! Claims he was busy due to the game and he will talk to the kitchen staff. Like I care, what about the garbage I ordered for my party! Needless to say, I will not order another pizza from there again!! The Aurelio's in Beecher, IL. sold garbage because they didn't care and went out of business!! I have over 20 plus family members that live in the area and all of them are at my home witnessing and tasting this mess!!!! They don't care about their customers and the staff is not friendly because they think they're the only operation in town. read more

The Crete Aurelio's has progressively gotten worse since we moved to Crete in December 2017.

My family loves the pizza at Aurelio's. The pizza crust is delicious. Perhaps there's a bit of cornmeal in there?

Aurelios has been one of my favorites since I was little but this location is no longer true Aurelios! We ordered two medium pizzas, one sausage, one pepperoni and both of my little ones took one look and said thats not pizza! Im not sure what is going on with their cheese but our pizzas were orange was definitely not mozzarella cheese and dried out(no sauce) it just tasted disgusting. Im so disappointed in this location, after spending almost $40 we barely touched one let alone both pizzas. We won't be back. read more

The pizza was great, as I expected. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. So, why two stars? Not realizing that I was watching, our waitress used her hands to prepare our salad, only after she had taken our order and operated the cash register. To her credit, she cancelled the salad upon request. I just hope the restaurant reads this review and corrects this behavior. read more

We ordered a $28.75 medium pizza from Aurelio-Crete, yesterday. We picked it up so it would be straight from the oven in 40 minutes as we were told it would take. The pizza was cold, and worse that a store bought pizza. The ingredients were dry and lacked any vestige of taste. We have eaten Aurelio pizza several times in the past; in fact it used to be our favorite pizza, but this time we decided it was the last time we would ever order one. read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever enjoyed. I've lived in Chicago and I can still say with confidence that the Crete Aurelio's put out some fine squares that Giordano and Lou Malnati couldn't touch. Ordered pizza last night from the Aurelio's in Crete a medium & a 10" gluten free for my husband. Best pizza in the suburbs, if not all of Illinois. Don't get the buffet, just order a nice pizza and salad. The antipasto is good, too. Calzones are great, but you can't go wrong with a good pizza. I like the super 6. read more

As with all Aurelio's, the pizza is delicious. The atmosphere and comfort level is good, but the service is worse than any other Aurelio's I've been to. Slow in serving anything, drinks, salads, pizza, whatever. Kind of dumb, too. They don't realize the finer points of what is expected out of service. Not unfriendly, just not very good at their jobs. If you can get past that, though, it's still some of the finest pizza in the south suburbs. read more
