    Plant for sale
    Juanita W.

Don't recall hearing a greeting when I came in; nor was I asked if this was my first time here. I like the many plants and that some are for sale. It was crowded so I decided to take my food and coffee to go. Small tables are available to eat outside. Disappointed with quality of Sister Rosetta; as I did not taste the coffee. I prefer a balanced latte. I was greatly disappointed that the tortilla was a little burnt on the edge and did not taste fresh. I do not know how you mess up scrambled egg. Furthermore, I did not taste the sausage in the bite I took. I understand this is close to campus and makes sense for the students. For those that can go elsewhere for more seating and better quality of coffee and food I highly recommend it.

if I could buy this exact americano every time, i would. im a sucker for crema on iced americanos.

biiig w iced americano made me cry a little. they left the espresso crema on top and it's day making when u get a drink and you can just tell care was put into it. couldn't have found a better place to start my 2023 with and i will definitely be returning more often after that drink.

    Brain warm up.

Moment after moment, everything comes out of Nothingness. This is the true joy of life -zen saying The thing that makes this cafe a gem is the food. I'm no business man, but I'm pretty sure for the prices they charge, the labor is free. These guys could make it anywhere, so get it before it's gone.

They've added some lower cost baked goods (muffins, etc), the weird construction smell from before is gone, and they've added some seating.

Wonderful place for students and passersby to grab some coffee. Great study or working spot as well. Just off the edge of North campus.

Worst coffee in town. Over crowded, over priced, bad product. Go to zeras or banter. Wayyy better value. Especially iced coffee.

On this morning, quite a few two-tops were available. Fortunately, there was no need to sit by the bar as those stools had no backs. I ordered the Classic Breakfast. The buttermilk pancakes, of which I barely finished half, were very delicious. The sausage patties were equally delightful. The same could not be said of the syrup which congealed as it poured. Although the fried eggs had a pleasant taste, I failed to be more precise on how they were to be cooked as the yolk was liquified. When I ordered the Holiday Brew drip coffee, I wished the cashier had suggested the Bottomless Drip. As I usually drink more than a single cup, I could have saved some money. Regardless, the coffee had a very pleasant taste. When gratuity was requested, it would have been very beneficial to know for what I was tipping? When I ordered off the breakfast menu, the price was not for the raw ingredients but the cost of it being made. The same with ordering drip coffee. When I saw the silverware by the cream and coffee sweetener, I expected to grab my own utensils. As it was my initial visit, the sign to bus my own table was totally unexpected. It definitely explained why there were a lot of crumbs on the table. Since the sign was near the back, it would have been easily missed if I had not visited the restroom.

The overall vibe has changed, and not in a good way. There seems to be a clear tension in the space that makes it uncomfortable to be there as a customer. From what I've observed, the current manager creates a very unpleasant environment. She consistently appears angry, tense, and overly controlling, and it visibly affects the staff. The employees often look uncomfortable, uneasy, and as though they are being constantly micromanaged. It's hard not to notice, and it completely changes the energy of the place. As someone who has spent money here and genuinely liked coming in before, it's frustrating to see management have such a negative impact on what used to be a welcoming environment. A business like this depends heavily on atmosphere, and when management makes both employees and customers feel uncomfortable, it reflects directly on the entire experience. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't already driven more employees away, because it is definitely pushing customers away. I hope ownership seriously reevaluates the current management situation before it causes even more damage to the business.
