I felt comfortable enough to book Maki to do my bridal nails close to my wedding without working with her before. I was lucky that she could accommodate me on short notice. Usually, she's booked out in advance and takes new clients rarely. Pre-booking with a deposit is required. So if you can get your nails done with Maki, do it! I gave her a few designs I liked, just a classic simple French manicure with white floral designs. She added some extra detailing and her spin, like pearls to the middle finger, to match my veil. I thought I needed to extend all my nails but I'm glad she gave me advice that I didn't need to as long as the nails are shaped well I can still get the look without discomfort after the event. We only extended one nail that was too short. She's located inside the Vermilion Medical Spa and rents a chair to work from. Green P parking around Elmwood Street and Yonge. They also do spa services such as waxing as well. Do call ahead of time as this nail salon does get busy! They can try to accommodate walk ins but you may have to wait a bit or schedule an appointment another day. I had gotten my nails done at Daisy Nails a few years ago and decided to return for their services. My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood. It is a popular place so it does get quite busy, best to book an appointment ahead of time, especially on the weekends!

She's already booked another appointment and looking forward to another 5 star experience. Would definitely recommend. Adequate parking, but not like the mall. Paying in cash also meant I saved on taxes, which was a nice bonus. One thing I appreciated is that you can book an appointment directly through their online booking platform. I grabbed the first available time slot in the morning. That said, my appointment started about 15 or so minutes late. I texted them to check in, and they let me know there'd be a delay, so I just waited around by the Shoppers next door. It seemed like the staff all carpooled and arrived a bit late to open together. Another downside was that the polish colours at least for shellac seemed pretty limited. I was hoping to find a nude, translucent shimmer but couldn't quite get the look I had in mind, so I just went with the closest option. One of my thumb nails didn't cure completely flat, but it's not super noticeable, and I'm not too picky given the price is on the lower end. If you're looking to get your mani and pedi done at a reasonable price, this is a solid option. For special occasions when I want my nails to be 100% perfect, I'd probably pay more and go elsewhere--but for regular maintenance, this place does the job.

I was surprised at first that there were no reviews of this place on Yelp, but did find a few on Google that gave me some positivity about this nail salon. I called on Monday afternoon to make an appointment on Tuesday afternoon. I struggled to find the nail salon within the plaza, that I had to refer to the Google picture of its storefront to find the place. There were a few other nail salons in the plaza, which gave me trouble finding Thee Nail Salon, but eventually found it. Parking is a little tricky depending on how busy the plaza is, but I THINK there is also underground parking? This small nail salon is run by two sweet Cambodian women. I had Theear do my nails. She was very sweet and friendly throughout the service and I had a great time getting to know her. The nail service itself was good, no complaints from me. She accomplished doing the nail shape that I liked. The reason why I am going to continue coming here from now on is because of the Nugenesis dip powder they use here. They have soooooooooooo many colours here that I was overwhelmed but happy. Theear also mentioned that if they do not have the colour that I want in the dipping powder, they can do a base white Nugenesis, and then shellac on top, which is only $5 extra. Looking forward to coming back!

I did bio gel and the gel was too thick and the shape wasn't look good. I expected it will be better since you are charging more than other nail salon. My friend recommended me this salon and she said it was great and the price is same as the other salon that I usually goes to, but it wasn't. Maybe I wasn't done by the person that my friend did with. If I rate them, I will only rate them 3 stars. Even though the nails wasn't that good but the salon was pretty clean and nice. After 2 months later (which was few days ago), I went back again it's because is close to where I live and I want to give them another chance. I believe one nail salon have more than one nail artist. This one was way better and the price is what I expected. This time I will rate them 4 stars. I hope next time I come back to the salon, I can have the same girl or another one that is better. (I forgot to ask for her name.) Therefore, overall I will rate as 3.5 stars.
