I noticed a lot of new menu items, but this time stuck to my tried and true chicken sandwich and fries order while I am only in town for a short bit but next time I will venture out and try one of the new fries options. I also appreciate the points system, I was able to get $5 off my order this time. The chicken sandwich was fresh tasting and light, and the kids meal is awesome for my daughter, hot dog fries and a drink. I went in between typical busy hours and the wait was less than ten mins, but can see how it would get really busy, but good food is always worth the wait. Black and white floors and dark booths, with an open kitchen where the bread is baked fresh. I did find it strange that on a Friday night at 6 pm the place was completely empty, which would normally be a sign of either high prices or bad food. DiBella's had neither. The menu is very easy to understand and easy to customize. You pick your bread, your meats, your toppings, any sides, and pay. I went for the smallest size sub on wheat with turkey, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato. Classic and simple. Hubby got the bigger Italian sub on white bread. I also got a side of macaroni salad, because I absolutely love East Coast noodle salads. Our food came out fast and our orders were both correct. The small sandwich was perfect for me, but it would definitely be too small for those with larger appetites. My wheat bread was clearly overcooked and a little dry, which was a major disappointment. The turkey was like a processed turkey loaf which also let me down. I also didn't have enough mustard on my sub. Hubby didn't have any comments on the meats on his sub, but he said they weren't the best he'd ever had. He raved about his bread and the oil and other toppings. The macaroni salad was my favorite thing, it was tangy and sweet and delicious. I did think the portion size of the side was far too small. I'll definitely come back to DiBella's, but I'll try the white bread as well as different meat next time (or maybe just veggie and no meat at all).
