Came with a whole scoop of ice cream on top and chocolate syrup and crunchy toppings. Just really delicious. Very Korean vibe. Could be all the Korean workers and customers. #duh There was a table who left a big ole mess and one of the owners (I'm assuming) chased them down and had them come in to pick up after themselves. I respect it. I mean. What is wrong with people, right? Lot for parking.

Review on the Tiramisu cake ONLY -…read more Come to TLJ for the pastries is my recommendation - tiramisu is definitely not their specialty and they have their own take on it that is no-rum, no ladyfingers, but rich cocoa powder, so if you're more into a milder, less sweet take on tiramisu, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would go elsewhere for a more traditional one. It's also priced a bit above what I would consider its quality - the flour-based part of the cake was quite dry and didn't seem that fresh. But it comes with candles for a birthday! Otherwise, the service was great and interior is good for studying if you can in louder spaces. Parking available.

I would avoid this establishment…read more I called on 1/27 at 12:40 PM to order vegan cupcakes for my son's birthday. The employee, Tim, told me they had 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate vegan cupcakes available. I requested 4 chocolate cupcakes, and he said I would need to prepay and that they would be ready in 15 minutes. I was surprised they could be prepared that quickly, but went along with it. We picked them up about 30 minutes later and brought them home. That evening, my son tried one and it was extremely hard, with grainy frosting. Overall, the cupcake tasted terrible. We didn't eat the remaining three and left them in the box. The next day, I returned to the shop to share my concerns and was told Tim would call me back. He did call and said they had tried a cupcake and felt it tasted fine. He also told me that I may not know what vegan cupcakes taste like. I didn't argue, but I've had plenty of vegan desserts before, and they've never been this inedible. He then explained that the batter used was leftover from a cake made a week earlier and that it's common practice for them to freeze batter and make cupcakes later. I was surprised to hear this. More disappointing was that there was no attempt to make things right or offer any solution--only to explain why they wouldn't provide a refund. I told him that was fine, but that I wouldn't be returning or recommending their shop and would be sharing my experience. If you're looking for vegan options or any dessert options and decent customer service, there are plenty of other places in the area. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I come from a long line of cooks and bakers and it is not often I eat other's preparations. I am…read morevery particular when it comes to the cleanliness of the kitchen and utensils, the quality of the ingredients and the love that goes into that preparation. That said, with things going on in my life, I don't always have the time to bake like I want to. When I need something and I don't have the time to do it, then I usually go to a brick and mortar bakery. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a mutual Facebook friend running a baking business out of her home (https://www.facebook.com/MissKittysTreats). For most of you that have read my reviews, you know I am a big supporter of local businesses. Back in February I discovered that Miss Kitty was doing cakes, so I ordered one from her for Valentine's Day, a lovely chocolate mocha coconut cake with ganache and espresso. Well that did not go so well. The cake arrived as planned and looked beautiful, but The Doctor was admitted into the hospital for a triple bypass. We eventually got home to try the cake about two weeks later, and it was very good. But as a baker, I knew that cake would have been a whole lot tastier if we had it on VD. Fast forward to our anniversary and we got the same cake to have at home as dessert with The Queen. OMG! The flavors were so amazing and the cake was so moist. For you folks that like a lot of frosting, you get it here. I myself don't do a lot of frosting, but I know most people do like it. I am that person who scraps off frosting from cupcakes and Cake, but Miss Kitty's frosting combined with the cake was sublime. Ain't gonna lie, I did take come off :-) Still delicious AF. This weekend Miss Kitty made donuts: Cinnamon sugar apple cider, Carmel apple cider, Strawberry Dreams, Pumpkin Spice, "Fun size " candy bars: coconut chocolate almond (With nuts or without ) and snickers not snickers, Classic vanilla/chocolate Halloween theme I am not a pumpkin girl, so Miss Kitty was nice enough to swap them out for the coconut chocolate almond donuts. I am a sucker for chocolate and coconut and the thought of eating an Almond Joy cake donut was too much for me. These are supposed to be for a birthday celebration tonight, but I had to try the coconut chocolate almond one. Yeah that was so good, so so good. I am trying not to eat another one...good luck with that. Miss Kitty is operating out of her home, but takes orders and delivers to your home. Check out her Facebook page to see what tasty treats she is offering and place an order today. Years from now, when she is a multi-million $$$ donut queen, I will be able to say I knew her when she was dropping off donuts and cakes to me.

Checked out this pretty unassuming cafe in Schaumburg to get lunch. Dessert Cafe 365 has more than…read morejust sweets. It actually specializes in ramen too. A strange kind of combination but it's good. This is great when feeling all shitty and wanting easy meals. Basically at the front there's a counter. It's got a display case of lots of cupcakes and pastries. These are just one part of the menu though. Another thing is the teas which are full of fruity flavor. It's about $5 to get a large. The Lychee Jasmine Tea was good stuff. Also there's ramen and there's tons of flavors. They have a few that are vegan. It's about $6 to get a bowl. They have machines that look like coffee pots that cook the ramen for you. Came out quite hot and was steaming so had to let it sit a bit. These come in the packs that look like the cheap stuff but this is much better quality to be honest. For sure it's got more than expected. It's located on Golf Road at Roselle Road. There's some of the ramen okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Seems to mis-managed as they're missing the basics of business running. Don't recommend.

The new location is in a brand-new building, and their coffee selection has expanded as well. Their butter cookies are the best I've ever had, and it's difficult to leave without a box. Sometimes I even buy two boxes--one to eat on the way home and another to share with my wife when I get there. They have delicious, fresh donuts every day, and I especially love the donut holes they sell on Fridays. I also love that they carry Ideal Bakery's kolaczki and some of their other products. They offer fresh bread that they can slice for you when you order, or you can take it home unsliced. The staff is extremely friendly and patient while taking your order, and they never make you feel rushed, even when there's a line of customers. I ordered a cake and a dessert table from them for a party, and they did an amazing job. Salma was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and assisting us with our order. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made the entire experience stress-free. Keep up the great work, Jarosch Bakery!

It's a family-owned, grab and go kind of bakery with all the classics. Churros, elote, conchas, and plenty of other panadería favorites. But if there's ONE thing I keep coming back for... It's their tres leches. You can call ahead and order a full sheet cake, or grab an individual slice like the one pictured here. And let me tell you--the cake is SOAKED in milk, exactly how I like my tres leches! Some places are way too stingy with the milk, but Lupita's Bakery does not hold back. The cake is incredibly moist without becoming soggy. The icing is also super light and airy, almost like whipped cream, which I LOVE. And somehow, with all that sweetness, it's not overly sweet at all. Everything just works perfectly together.

The churros are delicious when they're freshly made - regular cinnamon sugar, filled with chocolate or vanilla. THIS is why I come here! Some of the pastries are hit or miss, maybe depends on when I'm stopping in? The churros however are always good and keeps me coming back.
