I've also had PB bookmarked for quite sometime...so I blame my eagerness for the failed group runway photos. Lol I placed my order at 5 AM for an 8:15/8:30 AM pickup, and they still managed to pack everything like they were preparing it for royalty. Let mama break it down for you! Berry Tart: This tart walked in looking like it pays rent. Gorgeous, glossy, and so pretty I almost apologized before cutting into it. Clients loved it. My kids loved it. Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice: My 2‑year‑old (CEO of Strawberry Obsessed Galore) approved immediately. Every layer had actual thick strawberry pieces, not those sad little bits that makes you wonder if there were even strawberries in here or just mushed up pieces... Sweet, creamy, NOT overly weak and a total show‑off. We devoured it. Fruit Pastry & Raspberry Fruit Bite: Flaky pastry + custard + fruit = the holy trinity. These two didn't miss. They understood the assignment and executed flawlessly. Curry & Crab Croquette: I'm team CRAB croquette. It was loaded, crispy, and basically winked at me. My colleague, however, acted like the curry croquette was a spiritual experience. Pretty sure his eyes rolled to the back of his head..HAH. Both are winners! Pepperoni Pizzetta: My 4‑year‑old took one bite and immediately rejected Papa John's. That's the entire review. Case closed. Iced Sweet Green Tea: This one... was not it. It tasted like coffee that borrowed someone else's filter. We'll just leave it at that. Now, let's talk service: They open at 7 AM, and somehow had my entire order made, warmed, packed, organized, and ready in just over an hour..while other customers were inside, AND they helped me load everything into my car. My short notice didn't even make them blink.

I have to be honest, desserts for our wedding was the last thing that we booked as we had a bit of decision paralysis, but our cake tasting meeting with Jennifer quickly set us at ease. She was so easy to work as she provided her knowledge and guidance while also ensuring our voice and our needs were heard and met. We were blown away by both the flavor and design of our custom cake, as it was far more perfect than anything we had imagined! Additionally, our guests devoured all of the cupcakes that Jennifer and her team brought over, and they were so excited to be able to share which of the three flavors they enjoyed the most! Spoiler Alert: It was incredibly hard for the majority of our guest to decide on just one because they were all wonderfully decadent and bursting with flavor! We will definitely be reaching out to her for any future needs our family and I may have, and recommend anyone and everyone to use the services of Zelle's Cottage as well!

Oh, Country Bake Shoppe, you got me!…read more Being a bakery owner myself, I'm always excited to visit other bakeries. I genuinely enjoy seeing what other bakers create, tasting their specialties, and supporting the talent and hard work that goes into a small bakery. I stopped by Country Bake Shoppe and picked up Whoopie pies, cupcakes, and a pecan bar. Pumpkin nut bread was NOT on my original list. Then I tasted the Whoopie pie. Y'ALL. It was so good that I had to go back and get something else! That's when the pumpkin nut bread came home with me too. When something is good enough to make another bakery owner turn around and go back for more, that says something! There was something so comforting about this little country bakery. Nothing pretentious--just beautiful, homemade baked goods that taste like they were made by people who truly care about what comes out of their kitchen. As the owner of Sugar Daddys Bakery, I spend so much of my life creating things for other people to enjoy. Every once in a while, it's wonderful to be on the other side of the counter and simply enjoy another baker's work. And Country Bake Shoppe, I ENJOYED YOURS! That Whoopie pie got me through the door, but it certainly won't be the last thing I try. From one bakery owner to another: well done. There is room for all of us to shine, and I will ALWAYS celebrate another baker who is putting love into what they do. You definitely have this baker's stamp of approval. And yes...I'm still thinking about that Whoopie pie.

I was excited to try them based off of the great reviews and also the menu. The menu had some unique options compared to other places. The prices are also extremely reasonable.
