Since they've been open awhile and we where passing by, we stopped in for a quick snack. The inside is very bright and clean. Several employees were working making & preparing fresh items. Everyone was friendly & upbeat. We decided on a simple regular pretzel. Our pretzel was hot and ready to go. It was a perfect temperature, not overly salty and was delicious. Besides regular pretzels, they offer specialty pretzels with various toppings & dips, mini-pretzel nuggets & pretzel hotdogs made with Nathan's brand hotdogs. Cold and no acknowledgment. Never greeted never acknowledged. Lady behind the counter obviously not happy with her job as she slammed stuff around to make food as she seemed like she was bothered to be there. When she finally looked up about 3 minutes later even tho she knew I was standing there and I caught her eye I said I was picking up a mobile order. She proceeded to roll her eyes, continue to throw product on a pan, put it in the oven, walk over, take the bag out of the "heat lamp" and literally toss it on the counter and walked away. Excuse me for bothering you! And the product? Seems like it was made up earlier than my pickup time because I got there literally 2 minutes after my chosen pick up time and the pretzel was cold and hard. Literally the worst pretzels I've ever had. The bites were soooo dry and flat and the pretzel dog was burnt on the bottom!

Extremely poor service, I went back again to see if it was just one worker like that but it seemed like they are all like that. Very dismissive and some how make it your problem that they are out of a pretzel you want... they were both times almost out of pretzels and the workers didn't want to make more. This date is my 2nd attempt trying to order food from the Atascadero location. I work until 5 pm and the location states it is open until 6pm. Both times I called at 5:10 pm to place an order for pick up. Both times I was told that they, "had already put everything away" and could not take my order. It wasn't an extravagant order just a couple of regular pretzels and plain pretzel dogs. This says to consumers that your staff is lazy and does not care what the store hours are. They just want to go home. If they are going to turn business away from 5 - 6 pm then close at 5 pm and stop making paying customers feel like they are bothering you. Well it's new and bright and shiny at Auntie Annie's and everybody just seems nice and happy, has it's just opened here in the last week or two it's still on the honeymoon and the parking lot is probably adequate once they get going but for right now it seems a little clogged. I came in for just one pretzel and lucky me there was a spot to park. so I went in and they were people standing around waiting everywhere and I figured oh my what might happen next? Well I walk in and ask for a simple salted pretzel and found out I was on the Jamba Juice side which directly connects and the employees work in both shops and move me to another register took my order and gave me my pretzel. Simple quick and easy. I do think $4.19 for a simple pretzel is a bit High, but I guess times are changing and that's what they're getting. so it may be a special treat now and then, but it won't be one of my regular stops. I have waited a while to write my review because I did not want to give a bad rating based off one experience but every time I've been there since they opened has been a disaster. First of all, every person I have seen working there is lacking training and is unexperienced. We purchased gift cards for stocking stuffers for Christmas and no one seems to know how to utilize them there so it makes my wait longer. Whether there is no one in the store, or there's three people ahead of me, in the 4 times I have been there they always mess up my order. I love freshly baked pretzels and it seemed like we were getting a place that focused just on pretzels, so they should be better than the average frozen/reheated pretzel from an average restaurant. It's shocking to imagine that a franchise of this magnitude can't get there shit together. 30 minute wait for a single pretzel, despite only three customers in front of me was due to the absolutely ridiculous in efficiency of the operation. Case in point: watch them put a rack of pretzels in the oven and ordered a garlic pretzel, proceeded to watch them douse every single one of them in cinnamon and or almonds despite no people ordering them. What? When I asked the girl why she did this she said it was their policy. Okay? Policy to make pretzels no one orders despite having a waiting order for something different? I'm no chef, but watching them open the oven every two minutes to check on the pretzels also seems inefficient and then having to take them out and rotate them several times during the process also seems completely inefficient the communication between the cashier in the expediter was as they both appeared to be speaking opposite language to each other. Customers tried to be patient but turned angry after a "5 to 8 Minute" weight was promised, yet delivered 20 to 30 minutes later. I have been twice, parking is awful but for a yummy pretzel I was willing to drive around and around for it. But after waiting over 20 minutes for them to cook it makes it lose its appeal. The second time I went, the person cashiering took over 5 minutes to ring up one person in line, the others that were working around the oven were rolling out dough slower than I even thought possible, and there were people waiting everywhere for pretzels. I ended up leaving since the line didn't move, and two people asked for a refund while I was there because they had been waiting for about a half an hour. But the customer service, and the speed at which the employees work has to get better or this company will never survive here. After seeing a couple of friends post on social media about the negative experience, I figured I would give it a try and form my own opinion. On my first visit there I went in with my friend who went to the counter placed an order and was immediately given their food. I placed my order and was told that they didn't have the two that I ordered ready, but that they would be going in the oven and it would be about 10 to 12 minutes. 20 minutes later I went to the counter to ask them what the holdup was. I was told that they were still not even in the oven and that they would put them in next. This is all while watching multiple other people who have been there before me still waiting on their orders. I had also placed an order at Jamba Juice and was awaiting that as well. There seems to be staff working both places and confusion about who was handling the register at which place at any given time. When I finally got my pretzels they were good, but not by any means worth a 35 minute wait. I understand that they are new, but it seems like they need to have strong management there in the early stages. They should not be doing all pretzels made to order if it's going to have such a delay time. I went back again a week later after being given a free pretzel coupon on my last visit due to the poor experience. Today when I went in there was no line and they only had one regular pretzel and one bucket of pretzel bites available. Being that it was free, I told him I would take what I would get, and took the bucket of bites.The pretzels were cold, had very little flavor and I was very grateful that I had not paid for them. I'm sure that they have some kinks to work out, but at this point it's not worth the price for a long wait and mediocre food.
