Aulis serves a 19 course tasting menu that incorporates dishes from Roganic and will experiment with new dishes. The concept is using local fresh ingredients and letting them shine. They do use some local produce from HK but a lot of the ingredients are from the UK. This is really an experience for foodies to enjoy. It doesn't come cheap but if you really like innovative cooking that showcases the ingredients then you will enjoy a meal here.

My favorite dishes of the evening:
1) Crab, grilled cabbage chicken skin - I loved that they picked the crab meat out of the shell for you. The crab is paired with a grilled cabbage and crispy chicken skin. The balance of textures and flavors was fantastic.
2) Truffle bread budding - A savory take on the classic bread pudding dessert. The truffle isn't overpowering and adds nice flavor notes to the creamy bread pudding. This is really delicious couple of bites
3) Beef tartare - The tartare is chopped in small cubes and the texture is similar to at a chopped tuna sashimi. The smoked coal oil gives the taste of light charcoal from a grill. The balance of flavors is really unique and interesting.
4) Beetroot with eel - This was a really tasty bite. I enjoyed the crispy ness of the eel paired with the bright and vibrant sweetness of the red beats. Would really be a nice canopy served at a party. read more
