Updating my review. I've flown out of here so many times. It's expensive to fly out. Especially if I want to fly a direct flight to Cincinnati without a layover. If you were to get a layover, it's always either in Atlanta or Charlotte. It's definitely come a long way. They remodeled and added a few things. There is only one restaurant and a few stores. One great thing about this airport is that you don't have to wait. There are no long lines and TSA is not as strict as most airports. My parents only live 10 minutes away so this is very convenient when I fly back home. It's a small airport and I've never had any problems. One delay but it wasn't for hours. read more

Another airport visited off my list! Conveniently located regional airport offering travelers a great place to fly into as opposed to ATL (Hartfield-Jackson) and driving two hours to Augusta. Easy to navigate, clean, bright and friendly staff members helping to make the experience better. Gates are fairly sized making offboarding easy to get to baggage claim. Checked bags does take some time to arrive but nothing like ONT which can take up to 20-25 mins. read more

This is the smallest/cutest airport ever. There were zero people in line to check in. Tsa took 2 minutes or less. There is one small restaurant, but we didn't eat we were not hungry. You need like 30 minutes to get through security to your flight. I come back here in November and I am excited with how easy travel is here. read more

Lots of parking. (But, they do need more signage to differentiate short term and long term and make it easily accessible when leaving from the drop off area.) Drop off is very easy. The American airline check in staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. It is very clean but can get a bit crowded as there is not as much space in the front area. read more

What is up with the line ground crew? I fly in at least once a month and they are always surprised that a plane has arrived. They come late while the plane just sits and waits for ground crew to direct them into the terminal. It's been like that for years. Must be a local issue. read more

Small airports are generally great. But beware - security to get to the terminal closed for a chunk of time around 2pm the Sunday I was flying. Not sure if this is routine, but seemed like they just took a lunch break. We just started forming a line and had to wait. Luckily everything was fast & efficient once they opened back up. read more

Easy parking long term. There is a nice little USO room with free drinks and comfortable seats. Just wish it was inside security. Security is polite and very helpful. Going out of Augusta is easier than driving to Atlanta or Columbia. read more

I have never been to an airport where the TSA was closed when I came up, until now. Eventually, I saw a sign that said they would be back at 2:35 and they were. I got through in under 10 min. I am now waiting in the cozy waiting area with huge picture windows, airport seating, and rocking chairs. There are very few plugs, which makes it difficult to charge your devices. read more

A modestly sized city, Augusta is surrounded by other cities with bigger airports. The local commercial airport is one of the smaller ones I've ever seen, with only a few flights that are generally on the pricey side. That does mean that the traffic is basically zero and even though it is at least fifteen minutes from downtown Augusta, you can still get from there to your gate in less than an hour. The decor is more upscale than you'd otherwise expect and revolves around golf. I happened to use this airport around the time of the Masters even though I wasn't using it for that reason, and my flight was unsurprisingly delayed. read more

A small little regional airport on the east side of Augusta. Easy access from 520 and Doug Barnard Pkwy The bathrooms are nice and clean plus there is never a line. I have seen people get through TSA lines in roughly 10 minutes. I highly recommend the Augusta airport to avoid the long TSA wait times at other big airports. The con is that you have a layover in Atlanta or Charlotte depending on your carrier. Long-term parking was $8 / day and is pro-rated by the hour. Long-term parking. Plenty of long-term parking. I am unsure if the long-term parking is maintained because I noticed a bit of trash around the parking lot. For long-term parking, there is no covered parking. read more

Took a trip to Vegas, got reasonable rate to fly out of Augusta to Charlotte for my connection. It was easy to get to the airport and though the parking lots were pretty packed, we still found a spot. Airport was easy to get through, staff was professional and helpful, and airport was small so can't really get lost. It was also clean and well taken care of. Got food before boarding and it was nothing special but very quick. Bathrooms were clean. It was about an hour or so to get to Charlotte including boarding and deplane. Would definitely use again if I can find reasonable rates in the future! read more

It's mainly 2 airlines, Delta amd American Airlines. There is a military lounge available with tv, books , water and computers. Yes, it's a small airport but it's clean and easy to maneuver. Never a long line amd the staff is nice. I enjoy flying out of this airport but I must book far on advance to avoid the high prices. Most of the flights connect in Atlant or Charlotte. It also has a bar! Enough amenities for me! read more

Tiny airport with 6 gates. Everyone works at a snails pace. Employees standing around joking as line fills. Got to the TSE check point and they closed it for an hour so employees can have a break. Anyone with flights had to wait for them to open back up. There are two bathrooms here, and one is out of service. There are two food stands and one is empty and not in service. The only food/drink source closed at 6pm. Now my plane has been delayed over 2 hours and the only announcement we have received was, "it is an engine issue and we do t know how long". There are 4 guys circled around a guy on a ladder, shining his flashlight into a hole on the wing. 1 ticket agent is trying to reroute 45 people who will miss their connecting flight. Tiny little airport servicing the Augusta and Aiken area. Fairly easy to get in and out of. Only about 6 gates total. One restaurant with limited food. There are some nice features to this airport. It has both an outdoor smoking area and seating area (separate), which is nice if you haVe time before your flight. Rental cars are in close proximity to the baggage claim. You have to stop at the counter before you get your keys to the car. There didn't seem to be a gas station close by, so fill up earlier in your trip back to the airport if that is your thing. read more

Super small airport but very easy to navigate and great service overall! I found the waiting area was worry welcoming and had outlets to charge devices, which was great! I also loved the small putting greens in the airport, that was a charming thing I didn't expect. All in all 10/10!!! read more

If you want to fly out of Augusta, and don't own a plane, this is how you're leaving. Whether it's to Atlanta or Charlotte or DC, this is stop number one. Now some may complain that there's only one restaurant/cafe in the place, but it being small is an advantage. For starters, don't sweat arriving more than a hour ahead of time. There will not be enough people flying out to clog up the TSA line. Also, there's only two gates (which are also visible from the cafe). You will have no trouble finding your flight. As far as arrival, there's one door for checking in. Two doors for anyone exiting. That's it. You can park and leave your vehicle if you need to. There is a daily max of $8 (with the rate being $1 per half hour). They do have Wifi for your short wait and comfortable seating. I highly recommend walking around and enjoying the local art, photography, and history that fills the space. They rotate it quarterly so you can learn about someone new every three months. read more

Honestly this is a super cute airport! I fly into Augusta for work pretty often. There's only 6 gates and usually no more than 2 planes departing at the same time. Only American and Delta fly here. They don't have a dedicated TSA precheck lane but they will give you a card you can hold so you don't have to take off your shoes/remove your laptop. I like that the rental car lot is just a short walk away which makes getting in and out super easy. As far as food options go, Par 3 Bar and Grille is the only restaurant/bar in the airport. There's also a small gift shop. My favorite part of this airport is that they have a cute little outdoor area with a mini golf course (since the Masters are played here). Overall, a really nice quaint airport if you find yourself passing through Augusta. read more

Tiny little airport that I can't imagine survives the onslaught of the Masters Golf Tournament. 1 restaurant/bar past security. Cutely appointed and nice looking but limited options and the rental car desks close at 11pm. Have your reservations ready as they don't take kindly to walk up service. Uber and Lyft are non-existent at night and taxi's don't wait at the airport. Bottom line, have your ground transportation squared away before arriving or you will be in a scramble. read more

If you want to avoid long TSA lines, go through AGS. I can usually check my luggage and get down to the gate in about 15 minutes. I prefer to park in the credit card lot. It's right beside the baggage claim end of the terminal. So it's an easy out once I get my bag. MOST of the time, AGS only flies to ATL & CLT. I said 'most' because last year I flew into AGS (on Masters Week) and I heard them say the next plane was going to LaGuardia. And you can only fly Delta or American. read more

This airport is pretty standard, run of the mill regional airport. There isn't anything particularly special about it, there are 6 gates, three on one side and three on the other. The airport again, is regional, so its very small, so you won't have to do much walking while there. The security checkpoint is always pretty open due to the lack of traffic passing through, although with COVID-19, there are some times where TSA closes security between flights, which really isn't a big deal because it only takes about 3 minutes to get through, and another 90 seconds to get to your gate to board the plane. There are a couple rental car places here as well, but keep in mind that they all close relatively early, so if you're arriving late, you may not want to plan to pick up a rental from here. read more

Came to park my car long term since I was going home to visit family and didn't have anyone who could pick me up when I came back. The long term parking had signs indicating the lot was full, but I still went through to see if it wasn't updated. There were several spots available be it they were a little farther back. I believe parking was $8/day. The actual airport is very small and there aren't places to go and eat. Once you pass the check in area, there's a little bar it seemed that didn't take covid precautions. The plane was small and filled to capacity, but that's what's going on these days. Although a small regional airport you can count on getting in and out without much of a hassle. The gates open at 5 o'clock so if you have an early flight you don't have to worry about getting there extra as you would at an international airport. The staff are friendly and you can literally reach out and touch the aircraft as you wait for yours. American and Delta are the only carriers so know that you are limited in choices. Cute, southern colonial airport. Looks fairly modern. I guess because of the PGA tournaments. Not a lot of shopping, food, and drink options. I will because ot is small, check to see if any large events are going on. Security line will be unusually long. read more

AGS is a small, regional airport. I flew in during the Christmas season, and it was nice to see Christmas decorations. It being small was actually a nice surprise. It was a quick walk debarking the plane and making it to rental cars. read more
