This mall has a Barnes & nobles attached to it that's one of the best ones I've been to! Their product diversity is impressive starting from their testing materials, toy, anime/manga, and just books in general compared to other locations I've been to. I stumbled here to check out some toys and came across the cherry blossom lego set. Couldn't find this in other stores and grabbed the last one. It was $140 and it was priced right at where other stores were carrying it for online. Spent the snowy weekend building it and it came out beautiful. Great decor piece for your home and I'll eventually hang it up. It's certainly fragile, so you'd want to avoid anything accidentally hitting the front. The staff there were friendly. I was browsing stuff while waiting to check out and the cashier asked if I was interested in any of the stuff I was looking at. I found it pretty thoughtful. read more

My mother and family traveled from North Carolina to visit us. While they were here, my mother wanted to take them shopping at the mall in Augusta, GA. During this visit, my 14-year-old daughter needed to use the restroom. Upon exiting, my 14-year-old daughter was approached by security who accused her of smoking marijuana in the bathroom. My daughter called my wife, and when she arrived, my wife informed the security personnel that our daughter is only 14 and does not smoke at all. My wife then granted security permission to search and smell our daughter to prove that she could not have been the one smoking weed, which would have resolved the allegations immediately. However, instead of hearing my wife's words and conducting a proper investigation, the security staff insisted that my wife and family leave the mall, which was incredibly humiliating for them. After my family was unjustly removed, my wife called the police to document the incident. The two officers who responded stated that security should have simply used their sense of smell rather than making assumptions. This incident has left my daughter traumatized, having been falsely accused and unable to demonstrate that she neither smoked nor had any scent of marijuana on her. This was a deeply distressing experience for my family, and there needs to be accountability or compensation for the humiliation and trauma inflicted on my daughter. I request that these two individuals offer my daughter an apology for their error, or I will be compelled to pursue legal action, as this situation is entirely unacceptable read more

Came to this mall two times in one week! Wow, talk about me missing the 90s mall vibe - this satisfied that nostalgia for me. This is a classic, indoor two story mall also attached to an outdoor mall. There are lots of stores for all different interests (mostly clothing). The food court is awesome and has all of the amazing classics as well as other spots I've never heard of. They have these small little animals you can rent and ride, and I highly recommend you do so - even if you're 30 years old, ha! This mall was also very clean and I was just impressed overall. Will definitely be back for my shopping needs... and during rainy days. read more

It's Mother's Day weekend, so crowds are expected. Personally, I try to avoid the Mall when it's busy like this. Mainly because the service at any store is not the best. I went into Journey's, there it wasn't busy and I was in and out. Then, I went to Bath and Body Works. Because I anticipated a crowd, I ordered online for in-store pickup. Sadly, I waited but I'm not mad because they were busy. I'm just happy I was smart enough to order online! Then, I went to Cinnabon for my son. If you know me in the least, you know my love for local. I am deeply, deeply passionate about our community businesses-nonprofits-artists-etc. So what would bring such a person to the mall? Well, I was in search of a "trendy" piece of attire and the Mall seemed like the place to find it. Now if you've never been, let me share that it expands beyond the interior. There are stores and restaurants located on the outer edges and even disconnected from the Mall itself. Some are well known (P.F. Chang's) and some are new to the area (Taco Madre). You will have plenty of parking options as well (except in December). I went through the Barnes & Noble, as to slowly immerse myself into the lights, sounds, and smells. Honestly I didn't recognize about a third of the shops, but they aren't trying to draw me in. But the food court, that's another conversation. This one has a Popeye's and American Cookie Company. They knew I was coming. All the usual shops are there and a play area for the kids can be found within. I may not be a big fan of big box stores, but I would rather they serve their customers than sitting empty. Just saying. Also, I do occasionally come in December just to people watch and enjoy the decor and music. Very festive. read more

DO NOT take any pictures at the Augusta mall with the company who are selling in the middle of aisle. They are crooks and will rip you off, I paid for pictures and all my pictures was messed up. They refused to fix or refund me my money, it's been 8 months. (i paid a total $840) i disputed a total of $120 that was paid by card & the rest of the amount was done in cash. The owner name is Mike Ziggler,he goes go by different names - Paradise studio Inc, infinity portraits, a location in Savanah, GA named the photo house savanah & many more names. The owner is rude, unprofessional and no customer service skills. He refuses to give me my money back for something i NEVER got, he also deleted my whole profile so i don't have any pictures. The pictures had black spots all over, feets cut off, half of my head was cutt off, glasses missing, they "edited" the ones i took in December and made all of us pale skin (don't even look like us). When I previewed the pictures they did NOT look like that. I called the mall officers twice and no help, i have all the text messages, video recordings and etc of they admitting my pictures were not usable and edited wrong, and also telling me they was going to refund me my money and NEVER did. They just keep going in circles telling you what you want to hear. I purchased two different settings one in December and another in March, i don't have nothing to show for it after $840 for the pictures and not including all the money that was spent on clothes, hair and etc. I just want my money back, yall have been warned, do not go to them‼I'm not the only one who had this same issue. I have screen shots of other "customers" who also got ripped off by this company. Save your money, headaches and stress. The mall staff are not any help, but they are the ones who gave these people a contract. This makes yall look bad. I've been waiting for months for them to fix all my pictures and after 5 months I started asking for a refund still waiting. Admittedly, the first time I came to Augusta mall not so long ago, I was using yelp to find lunch, and I got sent to to Augusta Mall's food court, not even knowing the mall was there. After going a few more times for more than food now, I have a pretty good handle on what this place offers. Augusta mall has been around since the 70s, is a two level mall and has over 90 retail spaces, making it the largest mall in the area, and one of the larger malls in the state. During the holiday time, they decorate the mall beautifully, but year round they also have a lovely water fountain front and center, a large clock in the mall, and massage chairs for those who need a break PROS: There's a lot of shopping variety here for the area that it's in. From your big box staples like Macy's, JCPenny's, Sears, or dillards, to your specialty stores like Apple, Barnes and noble, Teavana and sephora, Augusta mall has plenty of ways to lighten that wallet. CONS: The layout of Augusta Mall was a little confusing to me. The first time I paid them a visit, I remember asking myself, where's the entrance, though I came in along the side where the apple store is. There IS a central hub where it's mall like, with several stores to peruse, but there's a few outside access only stores too, like the entire strip that houses the formerly mentioned apple store. As this is a mall, parking is never going to be a problem. That is to say, you're not going to have trouble finding a spot. What you may have is trouble finding a spot close to where you want to be. This is an "every mall" problem though, not just Augusta. There is also a food court with a few restaurants. I've only tried a couple, but they range from wings to japanese to mediterranean. If that's not enough for you, there's also restaurants like PF Chang, Moes, and others directly on mall property (accessed outside) FINAL VERDICT: If you live in Augusta and need to shop, you're more than likely going to find yourself here. It's a bustling energized area filled with people, stores and deals. It's an excellent place for people watching too. If you can get over the layout of the mall and not having access to all things (this can be a big deal in bad weather), you're gonna love it. I'd rate it a 3.5, but round it up to 4 stars, because I already know i'll be back, and that makes me a fan. read more

The Augusta Mall is a pretty typical, average mall. I like some of the store options. Earthbound is my favorite. I love that there's still a Barnes and Nobles. The Dicks Sporting Goods is huge and a nice place to shop. Sometimes on evenings or weekends there are packs of wile teenagers roaming around being loud and sometimes fighting but most of the time I've visited it's pretty peaceful. The mall is clean and I always see at least one security officer while I'm there. My most recent visit the restrooms smelled terribly but I am unsure if that's common or an isolated incident. The food court is alright but there are better options outside / attached to the mall. So, in short, I guess it's better than driving an hour or more but it's nothing impressive. read more

While I enjoy the convenience of a medium-sized mall with plenty of retail options, I have minimal patience for ignorant mall clientele. On MULTIPLE occasions I have been eating in the food court or walking in the halls when fights have broken out. It has almost become an expected finding at this location. It makes shopping here embarrassing and dangerous--embarrassing for the city, dangerous for all the visitors. Security really needs to improve at this facility. With that being said, I think this mall is perfect for Augusta. Not too big, not too small. Plenty of decent anchor stores. The food court leaves significant room for improvement...however, they have a few anchor restaurants such as Chick-fil-a and Sabarro. The best part of the mall is the indoor-outdoor retail space that makes shopping a more enjoyable experience. I love this Barnes and Nobles location--it is a huge store! Other great and affordable stores include H&M, JcPenny's, Macy's, and Forever 21. The mall is small enough that it can be walked quickly--hence plentiful mall walkers in the morning and weekends. The mall is a little old school from the exterior but has been kept up to date on the interior. Overall, a good option for a city the size of Augusta. I hope the stores continue to thrive and don't fall victim to the online shopping phenomenon. read more

I have been around since both Malls opened in 1978, and after all these years and all the new additions; I still find it a relaxing and pleasurable experience with a really great selection of stores and food! I do really miss Abercrombie and Fitch , but there are a few other options ! I grew up going to this mall since this is the biggest shopping center you can get in Augusta. They've definitely changed a lot in the past 5-10 years. There's been a ton of new stores added, and the food courts were completely re-done. Sure, some of the stores still look kind of old (Sears, JCPenney) but for the most part I'm pleased with the remodelling they've done here! The biggest additions are Dick's Sporting Goods and the Promenade outside -- basically an extra section of cute clothing stores, plus P.F. Chang's and Moes!! They even added an Apple store here, and it's not a frenzy like you would see in NYC at any given time! The Promenade has cool stores like Barnes and Noble, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, White House Black Market, The Walking Company... I recommend Little Athens Gyro in the food court (plus the China Express for yummy lo mein). Sarku is always good -- there's always a line there. Still hoping for the Nordstrom's here since I'm sure the rich housewives would appreciate it (and me!) but until then, you still got Macy's! read more

I've visited this mall more recently and had no problems. The weekend crowd is still rowdy so I avoid it then. The shops have changed a lot over the years and fast fashion stores have gone from being smaller stores (Body Shop for example) to being multi-level anchor style stores (H&M, Forever 21). The quality of the clothes hasn't gone up with this transition so it's not great. Many stores have been lost and replaced with other things... There's no more arcade, no Dollar Tree, no F.Y.E. but in recent years there's a Sephora, Bare Minerals, etc. Major department anchor stores are not doing well these days and I imagine we'll see more replacement of those with fast fashion stores. It seems to be the trend. Unusually visit Barnes and Noble, Sephora and Macy's during my visits, which are rare. They're decent stores, though. The food court has changed a lot but they still have various good options. As can be told by my previous review, it took me several years to feel comfortable returning to this place despite having worked here for years myself after the incident with the security guard. Much of the staff has changed since then and I never have a problem. read more

I'm going to admit that I am not a fan of malls. In fact, going to a mall is usually a stressful event for me, as I prefer going to open air set-ups like the Augusta Exchange where it's likely that you will have to drive to another part of the plaza to go to another store (yes, that's how much I can't stand having too many people in one enclosed area). However, the Augusta Mall is one of the few exceptions. It is quite a large mall that has some great stores and restaurants. Another plus is that because there are so many department stores and popular restaurants, there are various entrances and bountiful parking. I was very pleased to wander through Williams Sonoma, Teavana, Barnes and Nobles, Sephora (there are two--a standalone and one located within JC Penney). There is a plethora of clothing stores such as Forever21, H&M, etc. For those of you who want to enjoy a meal, there is even a PF Chang's, Buca di Beppo, The Chop House as well as quick meal options such as Chick-fil-A, Moe's, and Sbarro to name just a few. Whether you're looking for clothing, books, food, jewelry and whatever else may spark you to open up your wallet, Augusta Mall will likely have what you are seeking. read more

I never thought Augusta would have a nice mall like this. The mall has a Sephora, Barnes & Noble, Aldo, Macys, Dillards etc. I wish they had a Nordstroms, but o well. The mall is super clean and I love taking my kids to the indoor play area located on the bottom level by Dillards. Their food court is also kept very clean and organized. We love eating at Sarku! There is ALWAYS a line for their chicken teriyaki. The only downside to the mall is that on Sundays they open at 12!!! I know malls in different states open their doors at 6am, even when the actually stores are not open. It allows residents to walk indoors and stay out of the heat. I hope they change that about their hours and soon esp with the humid summer around the corner. I always find awesome sales at Dillards and Macys (clearance) and I enjoy coming to this mall. They have a "new" area by the apple store/pf changs/barnes and noble with a water fountain. We always stop by there to throw in a few pennies and make a wish. A must for kids :) read more

I grew up going to this mall, in the days before P.F. Chang's, Forever 21, Aerie, and a whole bunch of other stores. In the past 5 years, there has been some serious remodeling. Basically an entire new branch of the mall opened up, which includes the Apple store, a remodeled Barnes 'N Nobles (which used to be down the street, but I think it was moved into the mall), Buckle, McAlister's Deli, and a lot of other restaurants and stores. There is both an interior food court, and a group of outside restaurants like P.F. Chang's and McAlister's. Basically, you've got almost any kind of food you would want, be it either quick service food like Subway, Chick-fil-A, and Sarku, or actual sit down restaurants. There's also a lot of clothing and accessory stores, such as Aerie, Claire's, Forever 21, Coach, Hollister, Pandora, and Hot Topic. Considering how small Augusta is, it definitely has a really good mall, with a lot of varied stores other small towns might not have. It's clean, large, has a lot of choices in clothing and food, has a large, spacious parking lot with various entrances, and has several large, well-kept bathrooms. On the weekends, of course it is going to be very busy, so if you want to browse unimpeded by a bunch of kids... Go during the weekday. In Augusta, it is definitely the place to go to buy gifts, and to wile away a couple of hours. read more

This place has your basics that you would expect any mall to have - Macy's, JC Penney, Foot Locker, and many other things that are very typical of any mall, really. However, this mall definitely doesn't really have anything high-end. So if you're looking for a Saks or a Coach store (or whatever it is that you're into), you may want to make the trip to Atlanta to hit Lennox or something. Overall, I've had good experiences whenever I come here and shop. As I think of it, I have been coming here for 2 decades now. From the major clothing and shoe stores to a variety of food options at the food court and on the outskirts of the mall, there is an abundance of stores here to go shopping at. There's usually a decent size crowd here during throughout the day and night. Especially on the weekends. It has been a hangout spot for a very long time. You're very likely to run into someone you know if you're a local. Avoid this place on the holidays when there's ad sales going on!! The parking lot and stores will be insanely packed and crowded if you do happening to come here. read more
