Lowe's didn't even carry carpet the quality we got - we got Karastan and high-quality Stainmaster carpet and pads. First ask yourself this: what is important to you? If you are new to the area like us, your wallet is hemorrhaging with one out of three contractors not getting back to you with a quote; one outta three gives you a sky-high price because there is so much work out there and they just don't give a damn about you; but if you look hard enough, you'll find a third outfit that is hungry, takes cash, and will deliver the same or better product at a really good price. OK, C&CC might appear a bit sketchy but we saved hella cash and we love the final outcome. The carpet is stored at a huge warehouse - walk around, pick your carpet and the staff will help you to pick the best-in-breed they have on the floor. They buy after job / job lot from the big contractors/outfits and they'll pass those savings on to you. The installers were good ol' boys and they did scuff up our freshly painted walls a bit (I was initially angry but the scuffs could be washed or painted over) but they did do a good job on the install. I helped out a bit as I've installed carpet with my Dad when younger. They overcut the yardage we needed so we have carpet we can make area rugs from. Again, you can buy top-shelf carpet from C&CC and get it installed by others or get it installed by their associated installers. Lowe's and Kirkland's hires out their installs - if you read their reviews, the performance of their contractors can be spotty as well and you'll easily be paying triple... your choice on how you wish to spend your money. My wife is super happy with the outcome from C&CC and that is truly saying something.

Additionally, they voluntarily unhinged my bedroom door, then rehinged it so that it would close properly. They had to move the dresser a couple of times to get everything situated like I asked, and they were also willing to help me put a mattress cover on the mattress. After waiting 12 days to receive the two doors I checked on them so I could pick them up after work because I have an installer coming in the morning to put them in. Now I am being told that I will not get them for another day, but no one could tell me if they shipped out. But when we ordered the doors, they told us they had five hundred of them. Well then, they said started say that the vendor had shipped them. Vendor?? That is not Lowes warehouse. So now I have family coming to visit and have no doors in the rooms and the Lowes management group could carless. Not willing to help at all not willing to verify that they are on a truck. The installer cannot come out until next week to put them in. I asked the manager of the store to call me, did she?? NO! It is sad that LOWES has hired people that are there just for a paycheck When I called and took off from work to go to the LOWES staff provided conflicting information about the delay. This experience falls far below the service standards advertised on your website. The excessive delay will ruin my family visit plans; this is completely unacceptable. Please respond within five business days with your resolution plan.
