Day 2 in Newport and breakfast at Audrey's. Kayd is our server this morning. The food is great and the staff, Sheila and Kayd are friendly and welcoming. Thanks to the cooks for the good food. Hospitality lives here at Audrey's.

We had breakfast in this Small locals restaurant in Newport Washington. Friendly staff with large portions even for the Senior menu. We both ordered breakfast, mine was a very typical meal. Husbands French toast looked very nice. We left satisfied and happy with whole experience.

As served on the bottom, plain boiled and grated potatoes on the top.

All day breakfast - yay! I just heard that they desperately need a cook, which probably explains our experience. I'll leave the review but we will give it another try next time we're up that way. Big pancake was good but the syrup wasn't. No flavor. My husband ended up putting jam on it. The bacon was good and the scrambled eggs were fine. I ordered the special, 2 eggs, hash browns and bacon. I asked for the hash browns to be crispy. Maybe that offended the server or the cook. The "hash browns" had barely been warmed through and nowhere were they crispy. (See pics) I imagined a big bowl of boiled potatoes in the kitchen that was grated for every couple of orders and then microwaved and served. I don't get it.

We drive by here all the time going into Newport, however, they're always so busy. We've never stopped. Today. We took a chance and we're pleasantly surprised that for breakfast they were not very busy. It was our first visit here and the food was really good. The service was great and will definitely come back again. Also, the prices are pretty darn good for what you get. Especially right now with the economy. We had the pork chops with gravy breakfast. My husband loved it. I had the six out steak breakfast and it was really good. Next time I'm trying the German sausage.

This is your typical small town, slightly outdated diner. The burgers we had I believe were precooked frozen patties that were reheated. It was pretty bland and quite greasy. The accompanying veggie toppings were fresh as was the hogue bun. The fries are the thin 'breaded' variety and were also somewhat greasy. I believe they also must cook the chicken and fish in the same oil as the fries as they had a slight taste of such items. We finished with a slice of huckleberry pie. This is really a slice of plain cheesecake with a huckleberry topping over it. It was pretty decent although not 'pie' as advertised. Service here was very good. The waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout. Overall it was fun trying a new place but unfortunately it was nothing more than meh.

Chicken fried steak and a side of awesome pancakes!

Steaming hot coffee with amazing staff... Home cooked and hometown feel. Love this place!

Seriously the huckleberry waffle is so delicious. Love this place! Couldn't get a before picture because it looked so good.

The huckleberry waffle was to die for. Great food and service. Huckleberries galore. The eggs were great too.

Everything was great. Food, service and location. Prices were good too. Great parking since I had a small trailer I was hauling.

Did not expect this!…read more I've driven by this place a hundred times and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The inside decor is dark with low lighting giving it a cozy , romantic , upscale feel. Unique decor and decorated cool. The first thing you see when you walk in is a glass floor that you can walk on and can see a table of people Dining in the basement. It's pretty cool. Our server was extremely attentive. Every time he walked by he would check our drinks or ask us if we needed anything... top notch ! The food - it's on the pricier side but worth the experience. We started off with the baked Brie and the blue cheese wedge. The baked Brie was unique. The Brie was wrapped in a house made phyllo dough and covered in caramel sauce. Accompanied by Some fruit and bread. Unique and well executed. The wedge was wonderful. Very tasty house made blue cheese dressing and bacon (I think adding some tomato or onion would have broken up the saltiness) but was still great tasting We ordered the sweet pork chop. I was impressed how moist and tender they cooked the pork.. I have to admit that it was too sweet. Even for me, who has a crazy sweet tooth. It was a unique pairing, but left no room for savory. We also ordered the seafood fettuccini. I believe they house make their pasta and Alfredo sauce. It didn't come with a ton of seafood (a couple large prawns and a few bacon wrapped scallops) but hit the spot. Their house bread they serve with your meal is the highlight! A little loaf of breast drenched in a garlic butter sauce! I'm salivating just thinking about it! I' have to admit, I have high expectations, and this place is probably the better of the many other local eateries I've tried . A little spendy- 2 people , no drinks with tip $130 ish Ambiance - 5 Food- 5 Service -5

This is one of the very few places where I feel the 4.5 star rating is real! Amazing talent here,…read morefrom the management to the chef! Let's count the ways..... the ambiance is very warm, dimly and indirectly lit in amber light, and the decor is kept dark and in wood. Loved it! The service I got was top notch with personable touches. No Martini served warm or food served cold. This was attentive and on point. The food was delightful- on this cold, rainy night in October, I felt it for the baked brie followed by the pork chop with apples and oh boy, did this hit the spots. Best baked brie in years.... and the pork from the local Snake River Farm was delicious. This all was framed by the Dirty Goose Martini and some beer on tap (to rehydrate for health reasons of course) and ended up being a very wonderful and stylish dining experience.

I stopped by **Izzy's Comfort Kitchen** recently after seeing quite a bit of buzz about it online…read more While there is a lot to like about this spot, my experience felt a bit like a "social media vs. reality" situation. **The Atmosphere & Service** The ambiance is inviting and cozy, though the restaurant itself is on the **smaller side**, so it can feel a bit tight during peak hours. That said, the **service was fantastic**. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were properly taken care of throughout the meal. **The Food** I ordered the **Peach Bourbon BBQ Burger**. I loved the concept--the sweetness of the peach really complemented the savory beef beautifully. However, the execution fell a little short. There were only **two slices of peach** on the entire burger, and it was significantly **lacking sauce**. Between the minimal toppings and the lack of BBQ sauce, the burger ended up being quite dry. The sides didn't quite help the moisture issue, either. The **fries were very thin and overcooked**, giving them a crunchy, dry texture that made the overall meal feel a bit parched. Izzy's is a solid spot with great people, but I can't help but feel it might be a bit **overhyped by social media**. The flavors are definitely there, but for the price and the reputation, I was hoping for a bit more generosity with the toppings and better execution on the sides. Worth a try if you're in CDA, but maybe ask for extra sauce on the side!
