I visited this summer with a group of friends for dinner while staying on Diamond Lake. We ate outside. It was great to have a restaurant nearly on the lake and so convenient to the cabin but it wasn't a busy night and our wait was substantial with the excuse for the delay on my burger being they had to make more bacon. No concessions were made for my extensive wait and the rest of the group was finished eating well before my food arrived. Keep this in mind when ordering. We live in Newport and decided to venture out to try a new restaurant. The Edgewater Lounge provided us a very nice dining experience! My son (who is not prone to make such remarks) commented on the coziness of the place as we sat down. (I agree!) Our server was fantastic - she could not have been more welcoming or friendlier. The pizza my son had was excellent, my fish and chips we great (though did take longer than the rest of the meal) and the red beans and rice were enjoyed by my husband and daughter. I do wish they'd had more gluten free options, but that aside, we look forward to returning this summer when the outdoor beer garden is open! read more

Following what others have already stated, everything we ordered was absolutely perfection! I've never been able to say that about any dining experience ever. I was SO thrilled that this was the first time I could eat a buffalo wing chicken flat properly. The bones just slid right out. By the way, the appetizers in the pix were half eaten. LOL We couldn't wait to dig in and forgot the initial picture. The onion rings were not only crispy, but you could get a clean bite without stringing the onion through. The fried pickles were spears and not overly salty chips! The bacon on the burger was a quality that supersedes any fine dining restaurants order of bacon as a side as it was hearty, thick, crunchy and flavorful. The oil everything was fried in didn't have a hint of fish flavor or old taste either. It did seem that they were still training server staff as there were several stops at our table with other patron's drinks and food before it found its rightful owner. It was kinda fun to view other dishes as this was our first visit. It is a tad on the pricy side, but if you are looking for quality food cooked correctly, it'll be worth it, just maybe not every week. LOL The drinks from the lounge were absolute heaven, although again, small glasses and lots of ice with a big price tag. The one thing I will have to pick on just a tad is the signs claim of "fine" dining. There's always room for improvement right? Now I'm not saying at ALL that their establishment needs improvement, only that if I'm looking for fine dining...it will entail more comfortable seating and a less cafeteria environment, staff not adorned in t-shirts and jeans, and more on the menu that isn't typical bar fare. They could use some more Dinner style items on the menu. All in all, don't miss, worth the trip if you don't mind paying a little more for a memorable meal. read more

Stopped in for lunch with family. We ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich, Shrimp Louie salad, chicken strips and Jumbo Prawns Po-Boy. All were very good. The shrimp was great. I'm told the Shrimp Louie dressing was the best ever had. Chicken sandwich was awesome, hot and tasty. Oh, and the drinks are excellent. Both food and drink menus are perfect. We will be back. We got the best service from Sara, but the whole service team was delightful. This place is clean, and offers a lot! A good selection of brews and cocktails. We sat on the restaurant side with a window view. We were there early on a Saturday evening and the place filled up fast. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. They offer a variety of specials every day. We finally opted for jalapeño poppers for appetizers. They are whole jalapeños, and this batch was spicy good. We split a wedge salad, and they were kind enough to split it for us in the kitchen- that always impresses me. What I liked is the drizzle of balsamic and the blue cheese was flavorful but not overwhelming. Yum. We ordered the burger to share - I loved that you could customize it and cook the meat to order. It came out perfect! We also had the wings - since we could not decide on the sauce, Sara suggested getting them naked and she brought us all the sauces on the side!!! And we ate everything! Sara also had brought out a sample of the clam chowder for my husband- and while it was good, it was not up to his expectations of clam-to-potato ratio. Tonight was my first time to Edgewater. I actually had fairly high expectations as I'd heard really good things about this place. It's rare in a small town to have a "specialty" restaurant beyond Mexican or Chinese. We were seated pretty quickly, though I could tell that they were very busy. Honestly the only reason this isn't a 5* rating is the wait staff. They were cordial, but very young and the whole establishment was very understaffed. Like most places now, I assume that staff is hard to come by, so we gave grace where we could, but there were several mistakes on our order and during our entire time there (more than an hour) we didn't have a server refill our water once. But the food was absolutely wonderful. And again, grace to the staff, they were obviously slammed. Maybe just a bit more awareness would have been good. But we'll definitely return! read more

It started well. Great pizza and burgers. But last two times we've gone, the food hasn't been nearly as good as it used to be. The burgers are very bland and simple. Excellent! Needed a stop for dinner on our way through. Delightfully surprised to find homemade jalapeno poppers (not frozen and deep fat-fried). The steak was perfectly cooked. Salad included lots of dark greens. Loved the hush puppies. May need to find a reason to travel back to Diamond Lake. read more

I rolled into town and I'm staying at the TT Campground for the weekend. Being a Saturday and the first week for College football I needed a place to watch games and have a bite to eat. This place amazed me, I've been here before with prior owners so was not sure what I was gonna walk into.. I'd seen reviews and wanted to try it . Was driving past and got a whiff of something amazing and flipped my car around. So glad we did. The owner greeted us and sat us at table. Wait staff was friendly and personable. The atmosphere is fun and so clean. It was pretty busy and they have a bar that was packed since they are located at the boat launch. So sitting there sipping my cocktail enjoying the environment out comes my rib eye on a cutting board with all the sides of fresh asparagus and fresh bread which comes from a local store ( across the hwy) AMAZING. This is not a cheap meal but we'll worth every penny. The only negative about this place is I think they are gonna need to add on for more seating. read more

The Edgewater Lounge is officially THE local spot for the Diamond Lake community. Kenny has turned this place into something very special! I had the Cajun Butter chicken wings w/ blue cheese and they were crispy and delicious. My wife tried the Edgewater Pub Burger and it was phenomenal (I tried a bite! :) Also, the fries were PERFECT. My wife exclaimed that Edgewater's fries were WAYYY better than the fries at Twigs (restaurant in Spokane). The staff was very personable, and we loved the fresh, bright and friendly atmosphere. The outdoor patio looks amazing and tonight they have LIVE music! We will soon be regulars at this absolute gem of a place located at Diamond Lake, WA! This should be on your destination dining agenda. We made the trek north to Diamond Lake specifically to try the Edgewater Lounge after reading about it for months. We were not disappointed. The breakfast fare was excellent. Generous portions--you'll have to ask for take-out boxes. Fresh fruit to whet anyone's palate, chicken fried steak that rivals Grandma's, delicious sausage/bacon gravy that brightens every item on the plate. We've eaten here a couple of times and I am always left wanting. Today I ordered for pick-up. My kids pizza was fine. My persons burger was great. My grilled chicken was bland. The Red Beans & Rice were ... disappointing. The Alfredo pasta was decent, but lacking. The cheddar broccoli soup may have been good, but it was not in our order bag. What I'm most frustrated about are the hushpuppies. I asked before ordering, "are they sweet or savory". The gal on the phone said they were sweet. Okay, I prefer the savory ones if I'm honest. She said they were sweet. My family likes them too so I was like, okay cool. They even sent a little dish of butter mixed with what appears to be sugar and maybe cinnamon. It's a little crunchy and odd. The hush puppies are cooked perfectly. There's a loverly background flavor of onion and pepper. They really are quite delightful... unless you dip them in the sugar butter... then it's really just gross. Now I'm okay with the gal on the phone being wrong. They are clearly savory, and delicious. Second time there, our experience wasn't quite as good as our first visit, they were very busy and we waited a long time for our food. My lettuce they used for my salad was wilted and not the freshest tasting and hubby got the brisket which was kind of dry and they left a ton of fat on it. We will probably go back one more time and give them another chance, as the first visit there was very good. Hopefully the second time was just a fluke. read more

Probably the worst service I have ever received. Our waitress was very slow, rude and incompetent. We were seated by the hostess, waited 10 minutes, and the blonde waitress finally came over and said "what do you guys want to order?" I told her, well for starters maybe some menues? After 5 more minutes she finally came back with menus and took our drink orders. Another 10 minutes and she came back... to take our druink orders again... I told her we already gave you that order. She just stared at me like she didn't remember. We told her what we wanted to eat and she left. Finally came back with drinks. Over 10 MORE minutes she came back because she couldn't remember what we ordered (even tho she wrote everything down) as we are again telling her what we wanted, the hostess came over and said "you were told it's an hour wait right?" No. We were not told that. Our waitress never said a word. We were already there for at least 45 minutes. And I had a hungry 5 year old. I was not going to wait another hour. I said forget it and left. The hostess was very nice and apologized but the blonde waitress just walked away. She should not be in customer service. read more

Our family loves this place. Staff is great, food is really good and we really needed a nice sports bar and restaurant at Diamond Lake.

We ate an early dinner here. We sat in the restaurant side and ordered. I ordered the fried Oyster Basket. I got the salad instead of soup. The salad was really good. The oystets were fresh and fried just right. They were delicious. I just wish that there had been more Cole Slaw. My wife ordered the Sautéed Prawns. She got the Gumbo instead of the salad and it was awesome. I wish I had gotten the Gunbo. Her Prawns were delicious. The service was great. We are only passing through or we would definitely go back. read more
