We were the first customers in the door, bartender was really cool and hung out and chatted with us. Sweet old solid wood bar built in the way back, very cool space. They do karaoke pretty regularly, and live acts from time to time. They seem to have a FB page that is updated to show what events are upcoming. No tap beers, but decent selection in bottles / cans. Didn't try any food, but if you are looking for a straight up bar to hit as you pass through this is a spot. If I'm being honest the food didn't sound like anything I would likely try, but solid bar for sure.

Our gal took great care of us, and cooked up an absolutely unhealthy grubfest. Hey, we don't do this all the time, but when we do we want it to be decadent, after several cold beers. It was fun to watch my Hubby school my SIL in the finer points of 8-Ball billiards. They are still cash only, and that obviously is keeping prices very, very reasonable. I tipped 100% ($50) because I've been a bartender and she provided the excellent kind of service that earned recognition. Mostly very friendly people with good spirits and positive attitudes, people playing pool on the tables in back, lots of laughter up front, one chick who was too offended by PDAs, and one still crying over a 30 yr old fling. So a really perfect mix for a cute little bar in a small town. Not sure when we'll be back in town but I'd definitely come back here when we are.

QBC is my 308th brewery! Not exactly local for us but it was a great little day trip…read more It was pretty cold so no outside seating today but no worries as QBC has a nice indoor bar area. I told the beer tender to set me up with a flight of five, while SWPFTD ordered a pint of the Angel Peak Amber. Purple Flat Top hazy IPA is a really good IPA with great hop flavor but very manageable bitterness. Peewee Falls hoppy Pilsner didn't work for me. It had a little bit of an aroma and flavor that didn't appeal. YMMV. Timber Mountain tripel was good for me. I was tempted to go with a pint of this but decided on another. Iron Mountain stout had a nice roasty chocolatey flavor to it. Very drinkable! Bangs Mountain dark Kolsch was a good beer as well. I also tried the amber which SWPFTD ordered. This was a decent little amber. SWPFTD approved. Our daughter-in-law had ordered the wassail and it was pretty cool to see they had one on. I decided to go ahead and revisit the hazy IPA. They don't have food at QBC but they had a food truck when we arrived. Lola's Good Eats was REALLY good! QBC is a great spot. Great beer and all!
