He is a very good doctor and I know that because of all the problems I have had over the years and he and his staff have helped me in several ways including giving me samples of expensive medicine that I cannot afford, and the last couple of years he has hired a back-up physician at the practice to cover for him.. I know through the years the wait time as been long, but they have corrected this by their scheduling. He has actually saved my life, according to the ER he insisted on - ASAP. It ended up, after he brought in a cardiologist and many tests later that I had to have a pacemaker installed. He has taken care of all my needs and I love our discussions on the state of the world - he is brilliant. I have a good relationship with the staff, they are very helpful and efficient. If course he has had staff changes over the years, but the new hires are great too! The only negative I can come up with is that I am not given copies of the various tests run. That is probably my fault as I have not asked for them. LOL. They also have cookies!!

However, whomever operates the billing & insurance is fraudulent. I have never received any statements through the mail or by email to let me know that I had a $50 charge on my account. Every doctor's office I've ever been to always send a bill through the mail. 2 years ago, they reported me to a debt collector for a $50 charge that I was completely unaware of. I had to call the office and to get them to reverse it and paid the office immediately. Just today, I received another text from a debt collector for Modera for one of my son's well checkup from last Aug 2025! Never have I received any communication that I owe anything! I have a perfect credit score and don't have any outstanding bills. Also, when two of my sons switched to their office last August, before going back to college, they talked us in to getting some genetic test that uses scope mouthwash. They said because of our extended family medical history, insurance would pay for it and we wouldn't have to worry about it not being covered. I've never heard of that test but we trusted them and let my boys do it. Then months later we get a bill that our insurance denied it. It's clear that running all kinds of extra unnecessary tests let them to charge more on insurance. This doesn't sit well with me considering this is a Christian owned practice. It's really disappointing and I will be looking for a new pcp for my boys. Feedback: increase your communications with patients, start sending statements in the mail or by email so people know they need to pay, & be transparent about what you're charging for. Do some research on who runs your billing department. Someone is falsifying information to make more $$.

It was also noted on my chart that I have other chronic conditions that were not even discussed during the one office visit I had with him. I only caught all of this because I was being billed a co-pay, when I hadn't stepped foot in their office. They "waived" that copay, of course, but still charged my insurance. My insurance provider is filing a fraudulent claim with them. They were billing my insurance for claims under this "program" without my knowledge. Do not fall for this.
