Due to an unforeseen (and unforeseeable) circumstance, the owner ended up needing to bring in two extra guys to help unload. The moving company and their crew damaged the staircase in my apartment while moving my couch…read moreresulting in damages that far exceeded the cost of the move. The company offered to do the repairs themselves or pay for the damages. They attempted to repair the damage rather than pay for it per their preference, but were unsuccessful. They have not answered further correspondence and the damages were taken from my security deposit. Extremely unprofessional and do not recommend. I will happily addend this review when the situation is rectified.

After weeks of trying to get plumbers to come and replace our water heater (they are busy & water…read moreheater inventories are tight due to the pandemic), I decided to DIY. Problem was, I needed the new 200 lb water heater moved down into our old basement and the two previous ones removed. (I have a bad back.) I contacted four moving companies and only two replied, one saying they were too busy. Bruce at Expert Clutter replied in just a few hours on a Friday and offered to do it at a reasonable price the following week. I bought the water heater the very next day. Bruce's crew arrived on time. They did an excellent job getting the two old ones out of the basement, including a 25" wide 80 gallon tank up the 26" wide stairway. As anyone who has run this type of business knows, finding reliable help can be a challenge - especially during a pandemic. Yeah, the guys were a bit rough and tumble, but that's what you need to haul heavy stuff up/down narrow, old basements. The crew foreman supervised the crew to make sure they were careful. I don't know about you, but I'd have a tough time finding a couple of good old boys to lug three water heaters in/out my basement. I am grateful that Bruce is around, dealing with the headaches of managing a moving crew all while doing his best to be attentive to customer's needs.

I hired Christen Washington of Seneca Sparkle Cleaning for her Bathroom cleaning special pictured…read morebelow. My bathrooms (2 full and 1 small half) hadn't been cleaned in a few weeks, which I told her in our initial messages. Christen quoted me based on her advertisement and came to clean while everyone in my house was working except for my husband who works from his home office. Below pictured are the service she promised and the after pictures of just one of the bathrooms. Christen claimed that the bathrooms were "cluttered" and required "excessive buildup" removal. Pictured is the "clutter" normal counter items including the garbage water bottle that she failed to remove and all of my items pushed to one side of my double sink as well as the basic dust and normal hair/grime removal from a few weeks of not being able to clean. There were also used qtips that fell out of the trash can and other small garbage items left on the floor under my glass (see through) scale. The list could go on and on. The mirrors are completely streaked, etc etc. I am highly dissatisfied with this service and would not recommend.

Moving from one state to another is always very difficult - you never know how to find the best of…read morethe best where you're headed. I lucked out with Reliable Movers - not only were they responsive and willing to book me from out of state for a move-in to a place with multiple sets of stairs, when they arrived they were helpful, friendly, and even prevented some damage that would have been done because of the way my outgoing movers packed my truck. They took great care with all of my items, got everything to exactly where I asked it to be placed even though I was stuck outside with the truck providing information, and got it all done in record time. The crew that showed up on move-in day were about twenty minutes early, after checking in with me via phone and text. Everyone was helpful and courteous. This was an excellent moving experience and I will be hanging on to Reliable's contact information for my eventual move to another location. The price for unloading into my new home was great, especially given the stairs involved. No one likes to make furniture go up narrow stairs - Reliable's crew made it happen quickly with a clearly practiced pace.

It was beginning to make some noise, so I called Pete for maintenance. My dryer was also beginning to "thump". He said if the dryer begins thumping again, there's another part that might need replacing, but it's working fine for now. He was late getting to me, but called ahead to let me know (thank you!). The cost was reasonable. He was good with my dog, maneuvered with the low ceiling in my basement and helped me understand what to look for in the future. You won't go wrong with this guy!
