Dan (a stroke of good luck) had the dryer motor in his van and replaced the motor quickly in one shot. Motor bearings were found bad. Repair price ($168.00 motor and labor) was very reasonable, and MY WIFE IS VERY HAPPY to have the gas dryer working again. Kudos Dan!

I brought it in and the owner warned me that he was really behind and gave me an estimate of three weeks. I guess two other repair shops went out of business and he was getting all that business ( he has been in business 40 years). I called to check on my machine after three weeks and it wasn't ready but he apologized and said he would work on it. He has been working 7 days a week to try to keep up and I could tell he was honest and trying his best. He got it done at 4 weeks and it's working beautifully and the price was reasonable (150.00) considering the machine is 21 years old. I highly recommend but just be ready to wait awhile to get it back. Also works on vacuums.

We assumed the battery needed to be replaced. When you walk in you are overwhelmed by vacuums of all kinds, sizes and brands as as other small electrical appliances that have been left in their care. Some are waiting for pickup, some are refurbs that for sale. They also sell parts for older vacuums you probably can't find anywhere else anymore. The owner told me right off his workload was maxed out and it could be a few weeks but he felt confident he'd be able to repair the unit based on my description of the problem. I figured without anything to lose it was worth a shot! Only two weeks later I got a call it was ready for pickup! Now it works like new again! Best of all the price was only about $25 bucks which made me feel like I was robbing the guy. I wish he would have accepted a tip. If you have any kind of vacuum that has trouble give this place a chance! I think they are the only place still doing this kind of work within 100 miles. No checks, its cash or credit only and the building looks pretty nondescript from the outside but the service is first rate and the owner is a vacuum God!

He removed the clog that caused the burned fuse, thoroughly cleaned the inside of the dryer and put everything back together. He charged me a small fee for the service call and a small fee for the fuse. The dryer was working fine, but after Tim left, the fuse blew again. The outside vent was clogged. Tim came back early the next day, replaced both fuses in the unit, helped me clean the outside vent...and didn't charge me a dime!!! Tim is a very honest, very nice, highly capable gentleman.
