Ok so I'm a fan...over the course of this summer we ate here 6 times at least, both evening and lunchtime, though not on the same day!
The 4 course lunchtime menu is particularly worth it but selecting individual dishes won't break the bank. The limande again scored really highly and now they are used to me ordering a well done steak and they don't bother protesting it'll be shoe leather (it isn't)
Don't normally choose any starters, they are the least interesting things on the menu for me...but the desserts are generally pretty good. It would be nice to have more than 1 choice of cheese; there's only so much cabecou one can eat
Wines are reasonable and Philippe has several others available if you ask
Very nice to sit outside on all bar one visit
Good also that they follow the rules with no-one allowed in without presenting their passe sanitaire as proof of vaccination; it gives a certain level of confidence
Always wise to book...a party of 17 turned up unannounced on a Friday night and wondered why they couldn't get in...that's about a third of the space of the restaurant
