We love exploring different cultures and cuisines, so we were excited for this dinner adventure. We ordered the Steamed Fish Mix and the Peruvian Paella and wow, the portions were massive. Just look at the amount of seafood they packed into these dishes! Absolutely unbelievable. I'll admit, I was turned off from paella after trying it in Miami years ago but Casa Mia completely changed my mind. The Peruvian Paella was so flavorful, fresh, and delicious that my girlfriend already said she would order it again. I had the Steamed Fish Mix and honestly did not expect that much seafood. The broth was amazing, rich, comforting, perfectly seasoned, and not overly salty. It paired so well with all the seafood. This place is truly a hidden gem in Oakville. If you enjoy Peruvian food or even if it's your first time trying it like us. You need to check this spot out. The husband and wife owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even better. 10/10 experience. We'll definitely be back!

I order the Maple Almond Latte which was not bad... but I wanted more maple & almond flavour. The presentation was lacking with just the cinnamon thrown on top. I guess I've been spoiled by cafes with cute little designs. Also all the flavor hangs out at the bottom... so next time I'll be sure to mix my drink before consuming. I also ordered their Mini Croissant which looked way better than it tasted. Instagram cute... flavour kinda forgettable. It had a piece of chocolate in it... The barista asked if I wanted it heated up and regrettably I declined. It would have been better to have that chocolate melted. Now the staff friendly and welcoming, which always makes any experience better. Again the atmosphere was stunning. One of the main reasons I'd come back. They have a section where they have all these big pillows. I loved that. Outside they had free 20-minute parking... the alternative was 10$ so I didn't stay very long. Overall I would recommend coming for the vibes not necessarily the specialty drinks. But to be fair I haven't tried them all. They also had pizza which looked very good and I overheard the barista say Sundays are their busiest day.

Overall, everything was fairly average and didn't quite feel worth the price point. The 4oz beef broth shot had good flavor (kind of like gravy) but definitely not worth the $7-$8. The standout for me was actually the pickled chilis in the breakfast sandwich, instead of being tart, they were sweet and surprisingly delicious.

Alejandro is such a nice guy and we talked about us just coming back from Madrid and he took the time to share his travel stories as well. Servers here are attentive. Back to the food, it wasnt a disaster but very boring and one dimensional. Like you could whip this stuff up in a few minutes at home. The shrimp was overcooked. The guacamole on the bread was grocery store ooze. On top of it all the prices are outrageous. We had the churros as well and they were way undercooked. We saw other people recieve theirs and one table sent theirs back. They weren't fried golden brown. They were mushy. The actual restaurant is nice. Beautiful tiles and decor that reminded us of Madrid. They had recommended I order it and I am glad I did because it didn't stand out to me initially on the menu. The condiments in the sandwich went really well as well. I do highly recommend ordering this! The mama shawarma plate will satisfy any shawarma craving, of course while being plant based. The soy curls were perfectly seasoned and tender. The lentil rice went perfectly well with the soy curls and the sauce. The salad was tasty with vegan feta cheese. I highly recommend ordering this if you are a first timer. I had also wanted to order the cauliflower bites but they mentioned it was going to take too long to make since they had to make it from fresh so I often not to since I was in a hurry. I will definitely come back and order it next time. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you can order a few dishes to share!
