This restaurant should not be open for business. We arrived last night for a 7:00pm reservation and then sat for a good ten minutes before anyone approached us. Glasses of wine were hand written in semi permanent ink on the back of the printed coffee menu and all but illegible. When we asked for the bottled wine list the server came back with a bottle of white in one hand and a bottle of red in the other. We selected the red so she left the bottle on the table with a corkscrew and left. We then had to wait another ten minutes for glasses and a corkscrew that worked and proceeded to open the wine and pour it ourselves. We eat out fairly often and haven't noticed this serve your own wine trend in other restaurants, is it a new trend? While enjoying the wine and a lengthy wait we were finally able to get our server's attention to order our food. I will say that the food was served very quickly, too quickly as we had no plates or silverware, so while the food cooled we waited for our server to return triumphantly with 3 plates (we were a party of 4) and then set off in search of silverware. The only dish that we ordered that was good was the beef. The calamari was fine but no different than anything you could get at a cheap fish and chips shop, the shrimp was bland and the patas bravas were horrendous. As I said this restaurant has no business being open until they have properly trained servers, a decent wine list (and the wine) and decent food. read more
