I needed to find a mover quick since the one who was supposed to help me did not plan the move properly and couldn't get a crew together. Justin and Miguel did incredible work. They were super professional, friendly and very careful. We were moving out of the third floor of an apartment and they were flying up and down the steps. They came completely prepared with blankets and pads for the delicate and fragile stuff and plastic wraps to make sure any drawers or other furniture was secured tightly. Like so many local movers, ATX started out strong but soon entered the mediocre zone. I've used them with great success, but this last move was borderline disastrous. Of the two movers, one was acceptable, but the lead was grumpy and rude. You could tell he wanted to be anywhere else but moving my stuff from one place to another. They treated my possessions fairly rough, and even though they were fairly fast, it was not a good type of fast. Snide comments, and borderline smart_ss attitudes are not good combinations for moving personnel. I couldn't wait for them to finish so I just wouldn't have to deal with them any longer, and even upon completion, the lead just had to throw a little more bad attitude and snotty comments my way. I'll choose another company in the future, maybe one just starting out because they tend to do a better job. read more

Moving day, Tommy and his team were careful, thorough and detail-oriented. They were sure to only grab the right things (bc it was a rental house) and put things how we wanted when we moved in. Moving is no fun at all, especially when there's an interim move to storage. It really helps when everyone involved has a good attitude and understands what needs to happen. The day she moved it was raining so I totally understand them taking there time drive ....... But to call and tell us that .... we are taking a lunch and we will be back ( They still had my moms things on the moving truck) 2. The told my mom and me after the fact they had to change moving trucks. 3. When the finally bring my mom her things something was very very wrong. Boxes have been opened(not by us) The boxes had new writing on them( the new writing was not mine or my moms had writing. 4. Boxes was snatched and broken. 5. Boxes with glass in them was all broken. ( my moms wedding gifts was broken) 6. My mom and I was gifted a Antique German shrunk Glass cabinet that is Valued at $ 28,000.00 broken !!! They do not make this particular model anymore. It's a Antique. I've never seen my mother cry so much. Clothes are missing Kitchen appliances are missing. We are still going through boxes and we are still missing items. We have called The Company to speck with a Manager about this matter. We was told to take pictures and they'll send someone out to see the broken things. The hurt and Disappointment is truly sad. How can you do a Single mother's belongingness like this. How can you take out money and leave and NOBODY and I mean NOBODY can explain this to yes. DON'T USE THEM DON'T DO IT !!!!!! We have been moving quite a lot and have quite a lot of experience with movers (local and long distance) and some of these big companies are just difficult to deal with as communication and belongings can get lost easily (and we had couple of those headaches, valuables misplaced, furnitures ruined, delayed arrival of your belongings to their final destination!). But not with ATX!! Out of all moving company ATX has been the most professional moving company who helped us move! We called several moving company to get a quote to move from Austin to Dallas and their price topped all the other competitors. The office was on top confirming our moving date and answering all our questions. And I have to say I have never such a hard working crew like at ATX. They are friendly, respectful with your belongings making sure nothing break which I appreciate a lot as during our past moves so many things broke or got lost somehow. The same crew who picked up our stuff came the next day dropping our belongings at our new home and again they were very quick (even though they just drove 3 hours from Austin to Dallas). We couldn't have been happier with everything! If you would like to thank the crew who helped you move it's always a nice gesture to get them lunch or tip them! We recently bought a house and relatively rapidly had to move out of our rental. ATX Movers removed (pun intended) a huge obstacle to that, they made the contents move super easy. I used yelp to get some quotes, and while they weren't the absolute cheapest, they certainly were highly competitive and easily the most responsive. They accommodated our move out schedule (72 hours after the quote) and texted 20 minutes before they arrived. We had spent those 72 hours packing up a 100 or so boxes, perhaps not as well as they should've. Jason and Gary arrived promptly on time and their zen around the whole process was awesome. It's stressful to move and I can't imagine a better pair of personalities to be our partners in this. Calm, collected, extremely efficient, they were great throughout. We made them stop to eat lunch with us as it had been a few hours at that point. They were engaged and chatty, regaling us with stories of past moves. We chose ATX Movers to move our 4 bedroom home from Steiner Ranch to Round Rock, and couldn't be happier with the experience and results. Mickey came out to do the estimate and gave us a complete picture of what the process would be, as well as how many people and what equipment would be involved. We had several different destinations for items as we were keeping some things and donating others, and these changed during loading, and they were more than accommodating without complaint.
