Our old pressure treated deck was well beyond its useful life and needed replacing. We decided to replace it with composite decking. I found "ATX Fence and Deck" through online reviews which were almost all totally positive. Jared came by and surveyed the job. The old joists were 48 in. on center (believe it or not). He recommended replacing the entire framing with joists on 12 in. centers so the composite decking would not sag over time. We went with his recommendation. I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME! THE QUALITY IS EXTRAORDINARY AND THE RESULTS ARE BEAUTIFUL. Jared communicated frequently, he was flexible, he and Thomas arrived when they said they would, they worked straight through until the job was complete. The framing is super sturdy and the final product speaks for itself. Look at the pictures! I cannot recommend ATX Fence and Deck any more enthusiastically. Good job Jared! Last month we had some pretty gusty winds that snapped one of the post on our gate side fence. Jerad was up front saying he was backed up w jobs that it would take a week or two. 2 days later he said he had a cancelation if I was interested in bumping up the timeline. Heck ya I was! Jared and his assistant came at the designated time, allowed me to work in my home office while the 16ft fence with gate was replaced. Hell of a job, looks great, and he beat 3 other quotes. Quality, top notch, and super easy to work with! Fred - In Round Rock! read more

Jared and Thomas did an amazing job, and I was actually impressed with their work. They showed up early and worked all day. I didn't have to monitor their work, and every time I looked at the fence it looked amazing. They were pleasant to have around, and my yard looks so much nicer now. He really knows what he is doing, and it shows. I would highly recommend this business. read more

11 years later - fence still perfect. Glad to see Jared's business has really taken off in that time.

I contacted Jared for a quote to replace the wood fence in my backyard and he responded and came out the same day. He took the time to discuss the types of materials he would use and how he would do the job. He sent a quote the next day and responded to all of my additional questions via text. The job was completed the next week. I am very satisfied with the fence and the quality work they did. It looks great! read more

I don't even know where to begin, we are so pleased with the work that Jared performed. Atx Fence and Deck will definitely be getting our business in the future! Not only are they fair and reasonable but they go above and beyond. We only needed a partial fence repair and without us even asking, Jared fixed other places in the fence that needed repair! Look no further, this business is where it's at! read more

Jared and his crew were professional and reliable and clean! We have a very large yard and have to replace our fence in sections (good neighbor style). I'm now almost willing to remove the previously repaired areas so that we could have the same level of quality throughout! Would not hesitate to recommend them, great job, our fence is strong and beautiful!! read more

We are beyond satisfied with Jared and his team's work on our projects. We hired them for landscaping, fence installation, deck installation and a roof/cover for the deck. Their prices are fair, they are willing to go the extra mile for their customer, and their craftsmanship is beautiful. We had an unexpected roofing issue come up and they handled the stress/set back with grace and honesty. They are friendly and fun to have around and will give you 100% of their time and energy. We have more projects planned for them and have received so many compliments from neighbors and passerby's on their work. We highly recommend Jared! read more

Very highly recommend. Hard working, straight forward, excellent materials, excellent work. Will definitely use again. And the price was great. The fence far exceeds my expectations. Had other companies bid...the price was much better and so is the quality. Good guy! read more

We contracted Jared to fix some damage to our fence after the high winds in May/June. He wasn't the lowest bidder, but he did excellent work in an expeditious manner. (The capricious and irregular business practices of that OTHER, low-bid vendor from Pf-ville made me go with Jared instead.) He replace a post on one side of our property and replaced 2 segments and a gate on the other side. Now our fence is in better shape than ever. Thanks, Jared. read more

Jared and his co workers did an outstanding job on our new fence. I couldn't ask for a better bang for my buck. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. He answered all my questions via phone calls or texts. He was able to do my fence within a week. I would highly recommend him and his team for your next job read more

Jared did excellent work for us. He replaced part of our fence and gate, fixed another gate, and meticulously installed a horizontal fence around our ac units. High quality work and a great price. read more

Now that is a fence! Solid as a rock! Jared and his team knocked it out of the park. Timely, professional, and the quality is as good as it gets. Really happy with Jared and the guys at ATX Fence and Deck. I live in Houston and coordinated the job over the phone. They went to my house in east Austin, provided their honest, professional opinion on the condition of the fence, gave me an estimate and a fair deal. They tore down the old, brittle fence and put up a brand new, sturdy, well-constructed fence and sent pictures to me to confirm completion of the job. I'd recommend them to anybody. Thanks, guys! I have had the worst luck with fence repairs until I met Jared. Recently, I had several sections of a 10 year old fence blow down. Jared explained one run would need to be replaced, but said other sections could be repaired. He gave me a detailed quote and a fair price. No upsell. He finished on time and cleaned up. Great job and he made it easy. About a month later a kid damaged a couple of pickets from the old section. Jared came out and replaced 2 pickets, no charge. Who does THAT any more!! read more

Hired ATX Fence and Deck to build a small deck and section of fence with a gate. Jared and his team were responsive and professional throughout the project. The work was of an excellent quality and we are extremely happy with the result. I would hire Jared again and strongly recommend him for fence/deck projects. read more

Disappointed response from Jared ... messaged him for a quote on replacing a run of privacy fencing at our home. His response was to ask the length of the fence run, and some specifics about pickets and posts, which I sent to him. Then no response back from him for a few days so I messaged him again asking if he was interested in doing the work. Got a response pretty quickly with a $$$$ proposal for the work ... SIGHT UNSEEN ... DISAPPOINTING.., read more

I highly recommend Jared and his crew if you need fence work done. They did a great job replacing our fences and gates. They also left an area open for our pool contractors to complete their work. When I called them to comeback out and finish the work, they did it in a timely fashion and everything looks great! He's a straight shooter and he lets you know what to expect up front. Definitely use ATX Fence and Deck! read more

Called and spoke to Jared on a Friday. Arranged and agreed to an in person proposal/estimate that following Monday. I provided Jared my address and telephone number. Day of estimate - called thinking he as running late, again provided telephone number and address. Gave the guy an hour, whatcha know - a big no show and no call! If he can't make an appointment, he certainly can't stick to building a fence on customers terms. Really, don't bother and just know that you've been warned. read more

I contracted Jered to build a fairly large cedar deck with rails. Design was simple and when finished he was suppose to stain it with a wood stain from Benjamin Moore. He stained it alright, wrong. Deck is beyond a disaster. Horrible blotches everywhere. Just an utter nightmare. After calling and texting all day for him, for 3 days now to fix this, he never responded. I guess he's too busy now gouging all the poor flood victims with fencing problems. So I had 2 expert strainers as well as a Rep from Benjamin Moore that came out and both said the stain was applied wrong, looks like water was added to the stain instead of just going a buying another gallon. Stain was over applied in beginning, then watered down toward the end. What's most upsetting is the utter lack of responsibility or care. Right after stain was applied, I had a couple questions and he assured me it would dry and even out. Needed time to settle he said. Wrong. You trust a contractor to do a good job for a good price and fix any problems that arise. But this guy just convinced me everything would be ok and took the money and ran. So now I have 3 other bids and they all are around 1,200.00 just to strip it- yes it has to be completely stripped down , then 400 to stain, then 200 for stain. So I'm looking right around 1,700++ for his incompetence. I will never recommend him to anyone and strongly advice others to be careful. i felt so uneasy about even writing this, that I took his truck info down in case he is retaliatory in any way. Worst experience, I'm out of money, deck looks beyond terrible, and not a word from him. No integrity. Very disappointing. You've been warned. It does not deserve a 1 star, but I guess this app makes me click the lowest. Please look at the Red Blochy Photos. Unbelievable. After paying him over 10 grand, i'm out another 2. read more

I agree with Jane's review because what I was going to write was very similar. My next door neighbor decided to replace an old fence with a new one in the Arboretum area. I had several daffodils growing along the old fence to try to make the place look a little nicer. Without any notice ahead of time they dug out all flowers and put them aside. They put their fence in the place where flowers originally were. The flowers would have been destroyed if it weren't for my brother who lovingly took them one by one and replanted, as far from the fence as possible. With a little advance notice I could have moved them myself and it wouldn't have been a problem. Today on March 18, 2014, they returned to spray the fence with some kind of preservative; again without any warning. The fumes from spraying were everywhere, and I had two young boys who had to walk through this mess to the car. It would not have taken them much time to contact me (and any others it might affect) ahead of doing the work just in case I needed to make some preparations. That would be considered common courtesy. They appeared to do good construction work, but they need to exercise the good manners they would have been taught in grade school. read more

I called Jared based on a referral to get a quote. I was surprised at how quickly he responded to my inquiry. He was at my house in 30 minutes after the initial call to view the work I needed completed. He was very nice and seemed very helpful. He told me he would send the quote in a couple of days and if I did not see it to email or call because he was very busy after the floods. He communicated with me one more time and disappeared. I would love to give him and his crew a better review but can not get them to give me a final quote or get them to start the job. Guess I'll never get to find out the quality of his work... read more

Jared originally built a deck and fence for me in 2014. He did an outstanding job, and they still look great today. And they continue to be strong and structurally sound. I recently had him to replace a couple of fence posts because with some recent rains we have had, they had become a little loose at the base. He came by one day, gave me estimate for the work, and completed the work the next day. As he did with the original job, his work is excellent, timely, and at a reasonable and fair cost. I will continue to value Jared's work, and will highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in getting high quality deck and fence projects done at a competitive, fair price. read more

Easy to work with; Nice quality work! I would recommend ATX Fence and Deck to anyone needing a fence install or repair.

I had a great experience with ATX Fence and Deck. They came out within three days of us calling. We had a fence fall over and they replaced four posts and put the fence back up. They were careful not to damage any of the border plants along the fence and got the job done in short time even though it was drizzling on them. They were extremely knowledgable and friendly and the price was good. They even dug a hole for me for a large birdhouse they noticed laying in the yard! (This is a big deal to me because our yard is all rock and it's a pain to dig holes in.) I would highly recommend! read more

Agree completely with all the 5 star reviews. I manage my properties from out of state, and finding dependable contractors is challenging. Jared really is a straight shooter. He told me up front what could be repaired and what needed replacement and provided photos to back up his recommendation. His prices are very reasonable, he showed up on time and the work was completed when promised. My tenants verified the quality of workmanship, and his crew cleaned up. He is my Texas fence guy for sure! read more

I've used Jared to replace my rental property fence, and extend my fence so I have a bigger side yard at my house. I've also referred him to several of my clients (I'm a Realtor). I've been extremely pleased with the quality (far exceeding the builders' fencing and materials) and pricing. The gates also close much better than the builders gates did. He also built a pergola for a client and it was beautiful! Now I want one for my backyard. read more

Jared had Thomas come and fix our fence the same day that I called him. It was fast and looks good! I really appreciate the work they did!

Please ,no one should ever deal with ATX. They promise a world but go back on their word . Highly recommend Jared and his crew! Jared is on site for the entire project, rather than just sending a crew and serving as a project manager as so many companies do. Jared and crew worked extremely hard and arrived ON TIME each day of the project , even working in rainy cold conditions...no excuses for this crew. Project was finished on time as promised. And ATX Fence & Deck was also the ONLY company I received a bid from that was willing to take down the fence a section at a time so our pets and our neighbors' pets would always be safe and everyone's privacy maintained. His crew never left our yard until everything was secure and the yard fully enclosed. But the BEST part...our new fence is beautiful! We are thrilled with how it looks and thrilled with the quality of the construction. read more

Jared and his guys were awesome. Jared answered all my questions, texted me back quickly, showed up and took care of business. I had about 110 feet of fence to move and replace. I contracted ATX Fence and Deck to build my patio cover and replace half of my fence. The work was done over a period of 3 days, impressive. Jared brought in a helper who was just as meticulous as he was. The build on the cover turned out perfect, I couldn't have wanted anything better! The fence replacement was outstanding, he even closed it up so I could let the dog out since it didn't get done in 1 day. Overall, the work, and customer service were outstanding.
