The generator quit and would not restart 45 minutes into the trip. A call to the NW Recreational and Cruise America yielded no help unless we journeyed to a repair place the following day hours away from where we were located in the Idaho Panhandle. In addition, the unit was not clean, in extremely poor condition and maintenance. The toilet smelled horrible and was almost not useable. The lack of a generator prevented the remote camping we intended for our week of rental. While driving, the front end vibrated and the windshield wipers were worthless when we encountered rain. Further, the refrigerator froze everything and ruined some of our food. Northwest Recreational was not helpful with our problems whatsoever. They pointed the finger at Cruise America and Cruise America pointed the finger at Northwest Recreational. With no resolution on our issues from either party's part, we are left with disputing the rental charges thru our bankcard. On our day of returning the unit, we were charged two additional small amounts that Northwest Recreational had not clue what the charges were for and said they could not reverse the charges. Bizarre, yes. Northwest Recreational is extremely difficult to deal with. I would highly recommend not doing business with Northwest Recreational.

Generally speaking, when I am at the store/shop, everyone is friendly and professional. On the phone, the service techs have provided what I perceive to be good advice. So, it's not that the facility isn't nice, or the staff isn't friendly. It is, and they are. I *want* to like them, but in person - they just seem to fall short. As these guys do have the reputation for being a solid business (maybe based on sales and not service?) I will continue to use them when necessary. They just need better follow-through.
