The owner came out, inspected, explained in detail what we needed and gave us a quote. He also offered that Xcel was offering a rebate for some of the work we needed down and they would file all the paperwork for it. He was on time, personable and professional and the bid was reasonable and fair. We had the work done and the crew that did the work was on time, efficient, did an excellent clean up after the work was done. They did file the rebate and we received it in the time Xcel said it would take to receive it. It's rare these days to find a business that is honest, timely and fair with respectful crews but Houle Insulation was all of that and more. I would HIGHLY recommend them and in all honesty I am a hard to please customer because I won't "settle" for less than I expect. These guys are good. Because they are good they are busy so just know it may take a little longer to get scheduled but the wait is worth it! We have noticed a huge difference this winter. Heating bills are down and the house feels warmer.

What was most frustrating was not only the damage itself, but the company's unwillingness to take responsibility for it. (We have photos with time stamps to prove proper protection of the house wasn't done) I understand that accidents can happen on a job site, but I believe a professional company should stand behind its work and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Instead, I was left feeling like they were more concerned with denying that they caused the issue than with helping resolve it. The quality of the work and, more importantly, the way the situation was handled afterward left me very disappointed.
