My first experience with Attic Construction was with Tony Goldman, the estimator and inspector of our attic and reviewed its condition with me, outlining in detail exactly what his crew would do to complete the job to our full satisfaction. He was friendly, professional, and responsive to what we needed, even calling us after work hours, and gave us pointed examples of the quality and type of work that would be done. He even stopped by twice during the job to make sure that things were progressing well. I was impressed! Thomas was the conscientious, hard-working crew leader heading up the job, keeping me informed about things that needed to come to my attention. I appreciated seeing his crew consisting of Nick, Carlos and Javier working together so well as a team. When an unexpected glitch came up, they were resourceful in resolving the problem. Nick helped me tie up loose ends with some electrical matters in the attic; Carlos was in the attic vacuuming out the debris left after the physical removal of the old fiberglass batting; he also did a great job spraying the blow-in insulation, conscientiously making sure that every surface in our attic that needed insulation received it. After removal the entire area was sanitized before new insulation was put in place. Javier operated the machine that delivered the insulating material and creatively diagnosed and resolved an unforeseen mechanical problem that was delaying the progress of the job. Josh, an Attic Construction field supervisor, stopped by to make sure that things were moving along as expected. I enjoyed seeing Tony, Thomas, Nick, Carlos and Javier work together to get the job done well and in good time considering the amount of work entailed. At job completion, all debris and old insulation was removed from the premises, and they even vacuumed the carpet. After 2 1/2 months of suffering in a house with a noisy, aggressive rat who acted like he owned the place, and five pest control companies later, we saw an ad for Attic Construction (I'll call them AC for short) and called. We hadn't realized that the house we bought had at least one resident rodent, and likely more in the past, and so, the attic was not only being occupied at night now, but was an unhealthy mess. AC sent out Oscar, a wonderful and informative salesperson who personally came out during the job as well, to be sure my extra requirements (due to my health problems) were met and that the job was to our satisfaction. AC's great crew - Victor, Tom, and Franklin, worked very hard all day, doing exactly what was advertised and in such a professional and efficient manner, my husband and I went from being stressed out (before) to extremely happy and relieved. Many entry-points were identified into the attic from outside and down into the house, and permanently blocked with sturdy wire material and construction foam. These couldn't even be found with all the old insulation in the attic, before. Then it was decontaminated without any offensive odor - and that is just a miracle as I am very sensitive to chemicals. The attic looks new, not kidding! Two lower rooms which had a disgusting underlying odor now do not smell at all. We now have a healthy home and a beautiful, clean attic - with the bonus of R-30 blown in, Owings-Corning formaldehyde-free insulation, vs. old, dirty, smelly R-19 insulation in our attic. The cost will be recovered through energy savings in our all-electric house in Ramona's cold winters and very hot summers! To say we are happy is an understatement. I just can't get over how professional, accommodating, polite, and efficient this crew was. They get an A+ from us! UPDATE 3 days later ... we are hardly using the whole house electric heat at all, maybe a half hour daily, as opposed to 2-4 hours a day. That will really be a savings! They came out and inspected the mouse problem in our attic at no charge. They said it was not bad enough that we needed to clean up the attic. They said it appeared that there were no more mice in our attic, but suggested we set a few mouse traps just to be sure. I looked at several companies on the Internet, and the seemed to be the best. The team that came out today Tom, Carlos and Jayden were very professional in their work. Tom called to say arriving in 39 minutes. He went over the work to be done. On a separate visit Tony inspected, showed us the pictures and what was needed. We had not has insulation done for past 30 years so it was time. The pictures of mice dropping made me want to have it done ASAP. Sure enough this was Friday and on Monday, here and completed. Once they were done, my husband and I looked in the attic and saw it was well insulated. They made sure they cleaned everything. Great attention and awesome customer service! When we decide to hire a insolation company- I started to do an online research to go with the most reputable company that has the highest ratings. After looking for a few hours I found Attic Construction. My husband called to schedule an appointment a couple of days ago-they called the day before to confirm the appointment which was Sunday and I thought that was impressive considering this is a big company but even their administrative staff works on Sundays too!. Today Adam showed up for the scheduled appointment as agreed and on time. He was very professional and polite, identifying himself before entering my house. I explained our issue and he proceeded to explain how the process works and what steps he was going to take before moving forward with the appropriate recommendations before obtaining my consent to proceed. He was very careful with the carpeting covering his shoes with plastic boots ( which I greatly appreciate given the fact that everybody at home removes their shoes before entering the house and not everybody does this when they come in to make an inspection ) . He was inspecting the attic and afterwards he came in with the solution to the problem. Hiring a company for insulation could be overwhelming and scary at the same time, but this guys make it really smooth in the process and you can be confident they are being 100% honest. I saw your advertisement on Facebook! We had our roof reroofed about a year ago...and even though the roofers promised they would clean up...they didn't...not inside or outside! We called attic Construction and Dan was here quickly and was great! They have a special rate right after Christmas...and we were happy to be able to take advantage of it. Humberto, Carlos, Quintan and Brandon started yesterday by removing all of the old insulation...and we could hear the pieces of the old roof being sucked into the hose! NO mess...when they finished with the cleaning out last night you would never have known they were here...very neat and clean process! They all are nice, respectable and quality young men...that LOVE their job!!! And it's obvious...lots to be proud of here! Oh! And they found places that the roofers had not sealed up where rodents could enter...they're fixing those and said a couple of vents needed to be replaced...We're so impressed! And one last word...these people that are complaining...much be talking about another company...or just like to be negative because they've been AMAZING! read more

All I wanted was insulation blown in my attic and they sent out their salesman/tech. I told him I knew there was only an inch or two of insulation and that the home inspector and an electrician found no sign of rodents. He goes in the attic and then we sit down for the sales pitch. He says they need to vacuum out old insulation, because it is not doing any good. (It is not doing any harm either) Found a small sign of rodents. They will seal for rodents. Now for the good part. My house is 1072 sq ft and they want over $3,300 to do the job.I tell him I will think about it and he says he will call his boss. His boss says they can give me a great deal today only, because they have a crew who just finihed a job so they won't charge me as much for labor. This is at 9:30 am, so I guess it was a small job or it is pure sales B,S, He's still trying to sell the job and I am saying not today. Finally my wife tells him "You're not listening. I have things to do. We're done". He looks shocked. This is an old tired sales routine. Do yourself a favor and get some bids from someone who doesn't try to oversell you. read more

I am really, really happy with Attic Construction. When we moved into our house, the pitter-patter of little feet and the aroma of their housekeeping let us know we had a problem. I talked to several companies that offer the cleanout service. Zack came out and explained the whole process and gave me a very competitive quote. Robert, Jose, and Anthony showed up and got to work. Throughout the whole process, they explained everything, protected every place they were in the house, etc. My attic is about 900 square feet, and they were here for about six hours in all. About half that time was vacuuming... they got EVERYTHING out of the attic! Every spot that potentially could be an entry point was secured. They walked around the outside of the house, but didn't have much to do because I'd already had another rat guy out. Then, after disinfecting, we got new insulation. Already, I can tell the difference, because I don't have a weird aroma that I can taste! I have every reason to believe that I'll be able to lay off of the heat and AC now that I don't have old, compressed, tunneled-through insulation. I'd call them back for another project in a minute! read more

We had rats under the house. I used a chain extermination company to seal the openings and set traps but we kept getting rats. They came out a second time to look for and seal more openings but we still had rats. I called Attic Construction and they went down there and took pictures, there were still openings under the house, openings the other company missed, twice! I hired Attic Construction and they completely cleared out all of the poop and nests that were in the crawlspace and sealed all of the remaining openings. They took photos afterwards so I could see the work had been completed. It has been 3 months and we have had no signs that the rats have returned. I am extremely pleased with this company! read more

What a scam company! We called them out from an ad in the Home Concepts magazine. They advertised $99 to clean rodent waste from a single attic space. We have a small home (1600 sq ft) and at one time we had mice up there that are long gone. Of course they told us that they needed to do much more than clean rodent waste. Their estimate was $2300! We have lived in our house for over 44 years. During that time we have had insulation put in. We've had a furnace installed in the attic, with new vents. We've had can lights put in. We've had rat traps set and checked and more. Never, until Attic Construction came along, have we had anyone put his foot through our ceiling. They took care of the problem, but it meant sending one person to fix the ceiling, another to clean the clothes and files in the closet and another to clean the carpet. I'm told the attic is fine and the young guys on the crew were friendly enough, but what a nuisance! They obviously aren't professionals because none that we've had in all these years has gone through the ceiling! read more

I used these guys in 2014 and they did an amazing job at a fair price. I have recommended them since but I won't again. In 2014, they came out and cleaned almost my entire attic, which was quite large and extremely gross. They had around 5 guys and they spent the entire day here getting rid of dead rats, closing up 7 entrance points, cleaning disinfecting and installing new insulation. They charged me around $1,000 for everything. They deserved 5 star (back then). Last week I got my old furnace taken out and we noticed that there was some old insulation with small rodent droppings where they were not able to access 2 years ago. We have had no rodents since they serviced us, and considering how small the area was (approximately 1/4 of the original job, if that) I figured around $500 - $700 max. Well, after looking at this small area the technician told me that prices have gone up drastically in 2 years and now they would charge me $2600, but since I was a returning customer, they would do it for $1950. Really? So now they charge more than double for less than 1/4 of the job with no dead rats? I would seriously shop around. read more

Had some dam rats in the attic...tried catching/killing, etc...they kept coming back. Yeah...scratching on the ceiling while trying to cook dinner or sleep cannot go on too long before I just lose it. Plus, my house gets hot in summer and is cold in winter, and I know the insulation up there is thin and ineffective. Anyway, Attic Construction folks sealed up every dang hole in the house, under the house, at the top of the house and attic...cleaned everything up...removed the old insulation and sprayed new insulation. NO MORE RATS, and it is warmer in the winter mornings in the house, and cooler on hot days. I am pretty stoked to not have to be annoyed and helpless anymore. read more

Yes it is true, the phone call to the boss about a "cancellation" the next day and you would get a discount if you took it. A lot more than I expected for the price, but although the sales techniques need to change, their work was really professional. They did what they say they would and our attic looks a lot better. Very honest business with great customer service. Adam came to my house, as I suspected a rodent had died in our attic. He did an inspection of the attic, and said it was in great shape with no signs of rodent infestation. He went to say that it could be anywhere within the walls, but it would be expensive and invasive to alleviate, and that the problem smell would go away on its own soon. Adam then went on to lead me through an inspection of potential problem areas for critters to access the house. He even left me some extra expanding foam he had in his van to block off some small holes I had on exterior of house. His consultation, inspection, and time were all provided free of charge, since he did not find any issues to resolve. It's great to be able to find honest service providers that do not try to sell you services you don't need. This company was easy to work with and showed great customer service from calling them initially to coming over for inspection. Straight forward, friendly, and honest people. read more

Estimate to clean our 2000sq foot attic was $5800. New roof 5 years ago. Our attic is actually not too bad, but we found a dead rat and dropping. We have the rolled out 3M insulation. They wanted to take it all out and replace with blown in insulation. Total garbage. Sales man very pushy and rude, would decrease price $1000 if we signed contract that day. read more

Adam and his team were great! They worked hard to get our attic clean and installed the new installation nicely. I waited to write my review... six months in fact. The reason being is they guaranteed if rodents came back into the attic they would come back and fix the problem- and they were true to their word. Living on a canyon, it's tough to keep those critters out. We called when we had trapped a couple rats in the attic. My mother had Attic Construction come out and clean her attic which was full of mouse feces and mold a few weeks ago. They also sprayed in new insulation. She was so pleased with their work and could immediately feel a difference in the temperature of her rooms that a week later we called for an estimate. Our window was between 8:30am and 10am. They arrived exactly @ 8:30am and got right to the FREE inspection. they informed us we had no critters BUT that whomever did construction last, ripped out most all the attic insulation. I crawled up to take a look myself and indeed, they were correct. Our inspector, Stephane, stated they could start the work in minutes if we decided to go ahead and get our attic cleaned and re-insulated. We were hestiant at first because we were not prepared and a lot of furniture had to be moved but to my amazement they had everything taped and moved within 15 minutes. I inspected their work after each phase which consisted of cleaning, patching, waterproofing, and re-insulating. After cleaning some left over insulation in and outside of the house they were finished by 3pm. Stephane and his crew were very professional, courteous, and very FAST. Adam inspected our property, told us what to expect, introduced us to the crew when they arrived, and was extremely professional throughout the process. The crew protected our property, carpets, wall coverings, furniture, and completed the job as expected in one day. Photos were provided throughout the estimate, clean-up, and final installation of insulation. Our attics are now clean, sanitized, secure from outside intruders, and well insulated. Crawl spaces have also been checked and secured. Not a cheap procedure, and certainly a nasty job, but worth the expense to clean and maintain our home in excellent condition. Our attic was in serious need of being cleaned and re-insulated we had a very bad rodent problem. The last company we used did not do a very good job. Attic Construction came in gave us a good price. We choose to have the job done in two stages to ensure all the rodent holes were sealed correctly. Since we had such a bad invasion there were some holes that were hard to locate. When Attic Construction came back to install the insulation they found the more holes that were in hard to reach spaces and sealed them, vacuumed and sprayed again. If we wanted them to come on our desired date. the price quoted was $900. higher than what they did it for when we allowed them to come two days after their inspection and bid. Crew was very careful to protect walls, furniture and flooring . Did a thorough job of cleaning, sanitizing and blowing in over 10 inches of Owens Corning insulation. All their personnel were friendly and professional. Only negative is the $99. advertised special, which is really only a come-on to get the opportunity to present a quote. Nobody can remove, clean and replace a full attic of insulation for that price. Expect a couple of thousand or more because that's what it costs to do it right. read more

I recently purchased a new home and during the inspection it was noted there was rat feces in the attic. For my family's safety I wanted to get it taken care of before we moved in. Attic construction was very flexible with our schedule and came out and took care of the job in one day. They prepped the house(so they didn't cause any damage with equipment), removed all of the old fiberglass ridden insulation, vacuumed the entire attic, sprayed the entire attic with and bleach solution, blew in new insulation, and even patched up all of the access holes to the attic and garage to prevent further infestation. There's a reason this company has 5 stars! They called us letting us know that they had an opening in their schedule. Next thing you know, Adam and two vans show up with 6 hard working guys. Adam told us our attic insulation was pretty much non existent and our house was an oven because of it. After discussing prices, we reached an agreement and they got to cleaning out all the old useless insulation and blew in a nice thick layer of beautiful fiberglass insulation. They were prompt, very courteous and very professional. These hard working men knocked it all out in a matter of hours in the blazing heat with a smile on their faces. Adam was extremely polite, professional and his crew reflected that in how they worked and were polite and professional as well.
