It was easy and I got a text from the seller shortly after I dropped it off thanking me - so she was obviously notified. While I was there in the store, I made arrangements for my service to be moved from my rental to my new home. Two birds, one stop.

So you know what everyone dealing with them that is more than F***ing frustrated! with Cox do get name badges get confirmation numbers and do know they "keep notes" on what they wish to say regarding the situation so you do the same :) ask for a "recap" on agreement go as far as even asking to see the profile if you go to actual location and if you choose to go by their word expect you may get disappointed after. For example the notes when I called the number of the main actual co. you will find on your bill they noted: I declined tech insurance well NO! the employee never mentioned anything about an tech fee so I was charged $100 for a tech coming out. I followed all the directions on the phone I watched the tech I did everything as I was directed to do by phone so yup games! they could have tuned it on that day but why should they when playing dumb is best and charging me $100 for 5 min of a tech coming out is best? Also do know when you call the number from your previous bill they quote different price points then when you actually go to the store nothing is consistent! so you know what since they wasted my time I think people should know get details don't EVER! take any employees word for it at the end of they day they or course are suppose to smile and be nice they just want to get through the day and sugar coat you. They are two stars for a reason :)

Upon moving to apartment, I immediately sought a competitor. Anyone but Bel Air Internet Connect, or BAI connect. On top of constantly throttling internet or trying to say they were using a "dedicated connection." Tell that to my 12 mbps download speed through the month of January and February during peak hours. I work remote and require untapped and unfettered internet speeds, and consistency is what this provider lacks. On top of that, trying to get assistance with anything from anyone is like pulling teeth. Get Cox.

I needed to get existing DirecTV service reactivated for my Mom's move from an old unit to a new unit in the SAME apartment building and update her billing address. Simple, right? I first called DirecTV and after explaining this very simple request to DirecTV, I was transferred by DirecTV to Bel Air to handle this because I guess they outsource the service and support for the Las Vegas market to this failure of an outfit. The first Bel Air guy (Vince) was new or incompetent or both. After 50 minutes on the phone, he transferred me to the Billing dept. to update her address (literally a different unit # at the same address) and reactivate the service in the new unit. Transfer failed and I was disconnected! I called back and the next guy (Anthony) seemed to know what he was doing, but then told me the Sales dept. needed to reactivate the account because they handle moves (upsell opportunity I was not interested in). Gave me the main phone number as the number for Sales. I told him that is the main number I had just called to get to Support. He said "I guess they changed the number for Sales dept". Transferred me to Sales (which was the main phone number with the same phone tree choices) and guess what happened?!?! Yep, call was disconnected again. I called for the last time. Pressed the applicable number for Sales and (you know what happened next) the call failed I was disconnected for the final time. You cannot even get to Sales! Their phone tree (yes, I know how these systems work) is all screwed up and you cannot get to the people who are supposed to work there to sign-up new customers or service existing ones. Bye bye!

I just had CenturyLink services installed in my Seven Hills/Henderson home and am very, Very happy…read more (I saw all the bad reviews here and felt I owed it to CenturyLink to share my good experience.) Earlier this week, a Century Link rep knocked on my door to pitch me on services. After quizzing him about internet speeds and the cost for internet + a good premium channels package, I invited him in. I ended up signing up for bundled services of 10M of internet + Prism Premium TV (includes tons of digital channels + HBO, Showtime, STARZ, Cinemax, Encore, plus all On Demand) with DVR for two TVs, all for $140/month. (If I hadn't wanted Premium, there were three other packages and all were very nicely priced.) The installation guy made quick work of things today. The whole system is wireless; the guide and remote are easy to use; and the internet is good (14MB -- about the same speed I was from Cox on slow days even though I was *paying* for 25MB). Also, there is no channel-change delay (something that drove me nuts with Cox if I wanted to quickly flip back and forth between two channels). In addition, the CenturyLink DVR boxes let you watch and/or record 4 shows at a time. And with the Prism TV app you can watch TV on any device in your house (laptop, iPad, iPhone, etc.) My monthly Cox bill was $210 and I was only getting HBO and Showtime -- so bottom line, I'm saving $70/month and getting more premium channels and solid internet service. And I got a $100 Am Ex gift card for signing up (the online registration for that was easy). I highly recommend CenturyLink and would advise you to call my very nice sales rep -- who is also the area General Manager -- who is with a company called Provision, an authorized CenturyLink reseller. His name is Bobby Lyman and his direct line/cell is 321-265-2004. (He used to live in Orlando, so that's a Florida area code -- but he lives in Vegas now.) UPDATE ON 4/6/14: I see that some of the negative reviews/complaints are based on (1) installation fee disputes, (2) issues with prices, and prices going up after a year and (3) customer service issues when canceling. It's certainly possible that some sales reps are not as honest as others, but my sales rep Bobby (1) waived all the installation fees, (2) informed me that service rates were promotional for 1 year and would increase by about $20/month in a year (still cheaper than Cox), and (3) gave me his cell number to make sure I get good customer service (which I assume is good for him as a rep of the company). UPDATE ON 4/9/14: Wanted to add a note now that I have had service for four days. The internet is streaming well above 10M most of the time -- averaging 14/15M -- and the TV service has been great including quick download times for On Demand shows. Very happy. UPDATE ON 8/4/14: Because I'm now working from home, I went back to Cox for high speed internet service (50MB) for my business as of July -- but I am happily staying with PrismTV. I love having ALL the premium channels in digital. (Also, when I called Century Link to see whether I could pay for faster internet speeds and was pretty disappointed to find out that I couldn't because it's not available in my area, the service rep took another $20/month off my bill through the end of my contract. All in all, while I feel bad for those who say they have gotten poor customer service from Century Link, I myself have gotten very good service.)

Century Link is the landline telephone service provider for my home in Las Vegas. For decades I…read morehave used "autopay" for the monthly telephone bill. Recently, I noticed that a monthly payment was missed. I called in to inquire. The call center (domestic) explained that Century Link recently had a software update. The software update inadvertently cancelled my (and a lot of other customers') autopay. But since it was their fault, there wouldn't be a late fee. I noticed that I could pay my bill (now two months) with a credit card. I asked if there was a convenience fee to use a credit card to pay the bill. I was told "no". (#1) I had to call into a call center, endure their telephone tree, and be placed on hold to inquire why my bill wasn't paid. (#2) The representative admitted it was the company's fault--but when were they going to reach out to me? (#3) There was a convenience fee on credit card charges. Like a lot of organizations, when things are on automatic, everything's "okay". The minute something goes wrong and needs human intervention; the process to fix things is inconvenient. And while the convenience fee for the credit card charge was low, apparently the call center can give you inaccurate information. I hate to assign this review to a store, because my commentary is related to back-office operations. But where is the regional management office for Century Link? Apparently, that's a really big secret.

I am not allowed to share many details but I will speak to the customer experience shortly. It already feels like you're in a jail cell all day but without the convenience of nearby bathroom facilities. The campus is sprawling. each building goes on forever. bathrooms and water are never near. It's not hard to get trapped in a set of hallways. Luckily there are cameras that are monitored in each area so the guards can get a good laugh at you before they finally send someone to break you free. you'll probably get scolded and or condescending to about your mishap for days to come. Dropping off and receiving equipment is pretty straightforward here. I do appreciate that about them. Orderliness: They provide plenty of storage bins so that you can keep your cage looking nice. If there is any MooP (matter out of place) in your cage you can expect a visit from the "foreign contaminate" robot upon your return from lunch. what? references for Wall-E are dated? c'mon this place is just like that spaceship in that movie, LOL. oh yeah, they're pretty good actually.

Choosing Switch for our CoLo needs was absolutely the right decision. Against the competition,…read morethere really is no comparison. We had researched several other sites near the West coast and hadn't found the right fit based on pricing, time-to-cabinet-access, and ability to deliver services promised. When we visited the Switch facility in Las Vegas, we were blown away. I'll never forget walking by row after row of T-SCIFs, realizing that a considerable portion of the Internet surrounded me at that moment. After signing with Switch, it became apparent to us that their presentation of the facility on that first tour was not "special" in any way; it was an exact replica of how they conduct themselves through their website online, in their Sales team, and behind closed doors. This was greatly reassuring and only affirmed the decision we had made. It's easy to assume, seeing the high-tech, polished, flashy nature of Switch, that this is a premium data center with premium services. And you'd be absolutely right. But it would be wrong to assume their pricing is equally premium. As a growing (but small) cloud-services provider, we weren't interested in paying hundreds of thousands in "minimum fees" each month. So, when we were shown pricing that was not only less than what we expected, but even beat out more expensive competitors we were considering, it took no additional consideration for us to move forward. The good news is that Switch can meet your data center needs with highly competitive pricing at any scale--half-cabinet, all the way up to several rows--all while delivering the same premium service and facility access that they are known for. I highly recommend them to anyone needing connectivity, rack space, power, and cooling. You'll be just as blown away as I was and continue to be.
