Oh Ricky, my tattoo artist for life! I have been searching for that "one" tattoo artist in Austin that I could call my own and never have to worry about trying someone new out over and over. I went to Ricky about a year ago for the first time requesting a cupcake tattoo. To my surprise Ricky seemed very excited to do it and in turn made me even more excited. He listened to what I wanted very carefully and drew up my tattoo to surpass my expectations! He is quick, and his use of colors is amazing. I have now gone back for 3 more over the past year and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I would recommend anyone to see him!!! read more

Had an amazing experience here. Daughter who is under 18 got her first cartilage piercing. She is super anxious around needles and was very nervous. We were so fortunate to be helped by two different Emily's. Emily in the front and Emily who did the piercing. Both were kind, caring and compassionate and made things go super smoothly. Can't say enough good things about them! Would definitely go here again! read more

So for my 30th I wanted to get a tattoo, I've wanted one since high school. I decided to finally go through with it. They took walk-ins, the wait was about an hour and thirty minutes. My tattoo artist was Danny, he was awesome! Will definitely have him tattoo me again in the future when I'm ready for more. The picture I have of of it wrapped up, I'll try to post a better one once I unwrap it and clean it. read more

Had a great experience on a Sunday night. My friend and I went in to get tattoos after a crappy day. We called ahead and they said there was no wait. I'm pretty sure it was Cody I talked to on the phone, but he was VERY nice! We arrive about 45 mins later--we were greeted immediately and talked to Cody about what we were wanting. We waited for about 15-20 minutes while he got our stencils made. We were in goofy moods so we were cracking jokes with each other and teasing with Cody. Aside from the "angry kill your dad" music he played while he was doing the tattoos, (every artist has his muse!), he was very professional while being laid back and funny. I appreciated his level of concentration, especially! He's recently moved to this locataion, and I think they're very lucky to have him. My tattoo is very meaningful to me--I run a rescue and it's my logo-and also did a paw print to honor my friend who died. He was very respectful of our "crazy-cat-lady-ness"and did a wonderful job. I am SO SO SO pleased with my new tattoo! THANK YOU CODY for taking great care of my friend and me--I will absolutely recomment Cody & this Atomic Tattoo location!! read more

I just got my nose pierced (re-pierced really) .. & I wish I would have gotten my piercers name but he has a fluorescent Mohawk if you're in the market for someone who knows their stuff, is SUPER quick, efficient, has a very calming demeanor, & is clearly good at what he does. I was in & out of the shop with a new piercing within ten minutes total (and that includes waiting for him to get set up) . Very minimal pain, zero redness or swelling, & one day later there's still no pain or soreness! Best piercing experience ever! read more

If you are within driving distance from Austin and have been simply thinking about getting a tattoo look no further! This place is absolutely incredible. Professional artists in a clean, stress free environment. My artist was Daniel and I couldn't recommend him enough! If you want some ink done right he is the man to talk to. I came in with a rough idea of what I'd like and he managed to turn it into an American Traditional masterpiece that I take pride in wearing. 10/10 Would disappoint my parents again read more

Recently got a nose piercing done here. The receptionist greeted me quickly and showed me to the nose jewelry options. She confirmed with me the jewelry was titanium. I told her I was glad because it seems sterling silver isn't working for me any longer. She gave me the heads up that some places claim sterling silver however it's just the coating and the jewelry was likely nickel. Good to know!!! Emily was the one that piercing my nose. She was very friendly and chatted with me and my friends:) she showed me two option for placement and gave me ample chances to make sure I liked the placement. Clean piercing, I was surprised I didn't bleed since I kinda tend to! Emily was very complimentary *blush* and gave me instructions for my piercing. I also bought the piecing aftercare mist since I didn't have anything at home to help keep it cleaning safely. $55 for the piercing+jewelry. $12 for the cleaner. I also left a tip for Emily. Great ladies!!! Wish I lived here so I could go again! read more

Fantastic experience here. The artist I got for my flower piece was Daniel. He was quick, detailed, and gentle. He wasn't talkative, but that's okay because it gave me a chance to close my eyes and focus on other things to keep my mind off the pain. I appreciated his quickness and attention to detail. read more

I had wanted my nose re-pierced for about 5 years and I finally decided to get it done. I searched for days on shops in the area and finally chose Atomic Tattoo. BEST. DECISION. EVER! M.J. did my nose as well as a double helix I decided on doing at the last minute. From the moment I walked into the shop, I was greeted and taken back within 10 minutes. M.J. explained everything to me and made the experience amazing. Her skills were so on point that I barely felt a thing. She even offered to have me come back in a few weeks once completely healed to help change out the piercing if I wanted to. If I could give more stars, I would! Kudos to you guys for being awesome. I will absolutely being sending referrals you guys' way! read more

Got my first tattoo by Juan and I would definitely recommend him. I first hit him up through email and he was quick to reply and he takes walk ins. He was patient with my indecisiveness and offered to just draw it out to see if I would want it or not. He was precise with the design I wanted so I went for it and ask him to do it. He talked to me about the colors to make sure I was happy with the shades, and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. It's always good to have an artist who will not only do your design, but want to do it. Juan likes anime so it was awesome that we shared the same excitement about my tattoo. The price was reasonable too and I would definitely come back for Juan. read more

I got my first tattoo here. The first guy Craigo did the worst job. The line work was awful, crooked and he overworked my skin, now I have a scar. The manager told me that he was going to fix it for me and It looks better than what the other guy did but still, the line work is very poor and crooked and a bunch of people and other tattoo artists noticed how bad is my tattoo. Now I am going to have to do a tattoo removal or a big cover up after spending $220 for a bad tattoo. It sucks! I will never come back to this place. read more

I only use Yelp to look at reviews. Never felt the need to leave a review. I feel as if I need to leave one after this experience. I've been to this location twice before and was very pleased. This last visit was the total opposite. First off, the person working the counter could give two shits what I wanted and made me feel as if I was a burden just being there. I should have up and left at that moment. I went in to get a small piece done. Tops would take 20 mins. Told the artist what I wanted, and it seemed the attitude of "whatever" was the feel of the evening for everyone. Yet again I was made to feel like a burden and taking up precious time. Traced it up and started the work. Literally took 15 mins. Looked good on my way out so I paid and tipped. It's always hard to tell how the work really looks until the tattoo begins to heal. Well needless to say, the work is sloppy. Lopsided and not very clean work at all and I will be going somewhere else to get it fixed. Very upsetting. This isn't my first tattoo and it wont be my last. But, it will for sure be my last one from the Atomic Pflugerville location. It's very unfortunate that it is getting harder and harder to find tattoo artists in this town who actually care. read more

I went in to have a dermal takin out, I saw Sean. He was friendly, but I wouldn't recommend him for removing piercings, but administering them I'm sure he's great. He cut it out, it was painful but short lived. I just had my second one removed tonight somewhere else, and it was painLESS, no slices to remove it either. I will have a much noticeable left over mark from his side, I can already tell :( Plus he didn't offer to give me my jewelry back. I know the anchor part becomes useless, but my actual jewel part is reusable and cost me money... Tattoos are great from here though... If you need jewelry removal I'd recommend looking into Shaman modifications! read more

Miranda is the best! She used to work in Dallas and I have continued to get tattooed by her in her move to Austin a year and a half ago! She always gives me the exact tattoo I'm looking for. She listens and picks your brain just right to create the perfect tattoo! She's very professional and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. My tattoos have also all healed very well! She also prices tattoos very fair! Her quality of work is fantastic! The piercer, Issac, is awesome! He pierced my nose a while back and as picky as I can be, he listened and made sure I was 100% happy before actually piercing my nose. He is also very professional and never once made me feel uncomfortable. I will definitely be back! read more

I got my tragus pierced on a whim because my friend wanted to get a tattoo... also on a whim. She had gotten tattoo'd at Atomic before so we decided to go ahead and stick with who she is comfortable with. I had gotten piercings at a bunch of different shops. Atomic was clean, professional, decently priced and I got to say that the woman who did my piercing was the coolest. I haven't had that smooth of a piercing ever. Her technique was amazing, she was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Also I have never had a piercing that didn't end up healing horribly. Not for lack of cleaning, I just always have trouble getting my piercings to heal correctly. My tragus has given me zero trouble. I'm going to chalk it up to cleaning with contact solution, which she suggested and I am so grateful because I got it done a couple weeks ago and it has zero pain at this point. I wish I could remember her name! My friend got tattoo'd by a dude, I think his name was Danny? I'm not 100% sure, but he was so chill. He made her comfortable and was able to give her not one, but two tattoos for an awesome deal. We waited maybe 45 minutes to get her started but they were able to get me in pretty much immediately on a Saturday night. Pretty kickass. We'll be back. She already wants another one (guess that means I need to find something else to pierce)! read more

Well it's about time I write a review about David Parker. He has done several large pieces for me, probably 15-20 hours worth all together. I don't think there are enough good things I can say about him. I go to him with an idea, explain the type of style I want, and every single time the design he comes up with is WAY better than anything I could have imagined. For example, the last big piece I had done I told him I wanted it to look "not Renaissance Faire and not all death metal, somewhere in between." He nailed it, as he always does with the designs. I love, love love everything he has done for me. The details are great and the colors are great. Seriously, I get compliments on his work all the time. I'm becoming a walking billboard for this guy. To top it all off, Dave is a nice, awesome dude. I've been going to him for years. He is someone who you don't mind spending several hours with, even though they are sticking needles in your skin. He makes you feel comfortable and you actually have fun getting tattooed by him. Can't recommend him enough! Totally worth the drive!!! *Worth noting that the tattoos visible in my profile pic aren't ones from Dave- he has done half of my back (so far) and one of my thighs. read more

Called about getting a quote for a tattoo . Whoever was working the phones said just come in . Well ok running a buisness , and having two kids . I took advantage to go when my husband was off . Walk in and I'm told oh yeah that's a dope piece but the best I can say given the area you want it , it would start at one hundred . OK I'm very aware the piece is a portrait and will be between 500 to 1000 so once again very vague and unprofessional. I was pissed for their attitude and wasting my time . Decided to just wait and get thr piece done by an artist out of state that does amazing work that I originally wanted to go to . read more

I understand COVID is affecting business but I waited 3 hours with no other clients in shop, no updates and rude service.

Best tattoo experience ever! I'd definitely tell everyone to go here for ink. I was referred to this tattoo shop by a friend that has gotten work done by Toby. He had a waiting line when we went in, so Garrett came up and introduced himself. I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he decided to draw it directly on my leg to make sure it would work as a cover up. He was very patient with us, even though we asked him to redo it 3 times until it was perfect. He was cool about taking my friend's suggestions and let us sit there pondering the artwork before making a final decision to go forward. The fact that there was no rushing or pressure really put me at ease. I was thrilled with the finished product!! It's even better than I imagined! My best friend was able to get her tattoo from Ricky at the same time and she loves it! Garrett and Ricky were hilarious and fun! They were easily able to get my mind off of needles being stuck in my leg. I think the prices were very reasonable considering the talent, professionalism, and great service. I'm a true believer in "you get what you pay for" and I would be worried if they were cheap. I'll definitely recommend both artists to my friends and return when I'm ready for my next tatt. read more
