Oh Ricky, my tattoo artist for life! I have been searching for that "one" tattoo artist in Austin that I could call my own and never have to worry about trying someone new out over and over. I went to Ricky about a year ago for the first time requesting a cupcake tattoo. To my surprise Ricky seemed very excited to do it and in turn made me even more excited. He listened to what I wanted very carefully and drew up my tattoo to surpass my expectations! He is quick, and his use of colors is amazing. Recently got a nose piercing done here. The receptionist greeted me quickly and showed me to the nose jewelry options. She confirmed with me the jewelry was titanium. I told her I was glad because it seems sterling silver isn't working for me any longer. She gave me the heads up that some places claim sterling silver however it's just the coating and the jewelry was likely nickel. Good to know!!! Emily was the one that piercing my nose. She was very friendly and chatted with me and my friends:) she showed me two option for placement and gave me ample chances to make sure I liked the placement. Clean piercing, I was surprised I didn't bleed since I kinda tend to! Emily was very complimentary *blush* and gave me instructions for my piercing. I also bought the piecing aftercare mist since I didn't have anything at home to help keep it cleaning safely. $55 for the piercing+jewelry. $12 for the cleaner. I also left a tip for Emily. I just got my nose pierced (re-pierced really) .. & I wish I would have gotten my piercers name but he has a fluorescent Mohawk if you're in the market for someone who knows their stuff, is SUPER quick, efficient, has a very calming demeanor, & is clearly good at what he does. I was in & out of the shop with a new piercing within ten minutes total (and that includes waiting for him to get set up) . Had a great experience on a Sunday night. My friend and I went in to get tattoos after a crappy day. We called ahead and they said there was no wait. I'm pretty sure it was Cody I talked to on the phone, but he was VERY nice! We arrive about 45 mins later--we were greeted immediately and talked to Cody about what we were wanting. We waited for about 15-20 minutes while he got our stencils made. We were in goofy moods so we were cracking jokes with each other and teasing with Cody. Aside from the "angry kill your dad" music he played while he was doing the tattoos, (every artist has his muse!), he was very professional while being laid back and funny. I appreciated his level of concentration, especially! He's recently moved to this locataion, and I think they're very lucky to have him. My tattoo is very meaningful to me--I run a rescue and it's my logo-and also did a paw print to honor my friend who died. He was very respectful of our "crazy-cat-lady-ness"and did a wonderful job. I got my tragus pierced on a whim because my friend wanted to get a tattoo... also on a whim. She had gotten tattoo'd at Atomic before so we decided to go ahead and stick with who she is comfortable with. I had gotten piercings at a bunch of different shops. Atomic was clean, professional, decently priced and I got to say that the woman who did my piercing was the coolest. I haven't had that smooth of a piercing ever. Her technique was amazing, she was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Also I have never had a piercing that didn't end up healing horribly. Not for lack of cleaning, I just always have trouble getting my piercings to heal correctly. My tragus has given me zero trouble. I'm going to chalk it up to cleaning with contact solution, which she suggested and I am so grateful because I got it done a couple weeks ago and it has zero pain at this point. I wish I could remember her name! My friend got tattoo'd by a dude, I think his name was Danny? I'm not 100% sure, but he was so chill. He made her comfortable and was able to give her not one, but two tattoos for an awesome deal. We waited maybe 45 minutes to get her started but they were able to get me in pretty much immediately on a Saturday night. Pretty kickass. We'll be back. She already wants another one (guess that means I need to find something else to pierce)! read more

I got my first tattoo here. The first guy Craigo did the worst job. The line work was awful, crooked and he overworked my skin, now I have a scar. The manager told me that he was going to fix it for me and It looks better than what the other guy did but still, the line work is very poor and crooked and a bunch of people and other tattoo artists noticed how bad is my tattoo. I only use Yelp to look at reviews. Never felt the need to leave a review. I feel as if I need to leave one after this experience. I've been to this location twice before and was very pleased. This last visit was the total opposite. First off, the person working the counter could give two shits what I wanted and made me feel as if I was a burden just being there. I should have up and left at that moment. I went in to get a small piece done. Tops would take 20 mins. Told the artist what I wanted, and it seemed the attitude of "whatever" was the feel of the evening for everyone. Yet again I was made to feel like a burden and taking up precious time. Traced it up and started the work. Literally took 15 mins. Looked good on my way out so I paid and tipped. It's always hard to tell how the work really looks until the tattoo begins to heal. Well needless to say, the work is sloppy. Lopsided and not very clean work at all and I will be going somewhere else to get it fixed. Very upsetting. This isn't my first tattoo and it wont be my last. But, it will for sure be my last one from the Atomic Pflugerville location. It's very unfortunate that it is getting harder and harder to find tattoo artists in this town who actually care. read more

I went in to have a dermal takin out, I saw Sean. He was friendly, but I wouldn't recommend him for removing piercings, but administering them I'm sure he's great. He cut it out, it was painful but short lived. I just had my second one removed tonight somewhere else, and it was painLESS, no slices to remove it either. I will have a much noticeable left over mark from his side, I can already tell :( Plus he didn't offer to give me my jewelry back. I know the anchor part becomes useless, but my actual jewel part is reusable and cost me money... Tattoos are great from here though... Well it's about time I write a review about David Parker. He has done several large pieces for me, probably 15-20 hours worth all together. I don't think there are enough good things I can say about him. I go to him with an idea, explain the type of style I want, and every single time the design he comes up with is WAY better than anything I could have imagined. For example, the last big piece I had done I told him I wanted it to look "not Renaissance Faire and not all death metal, somewhere in between." He nailed it, as he always does with the designs. I love, love love everything he has done for me. The details are great and the colors are great. Seriously, I get compliments on his work all the time. I'm becoming a walking billboard for this guy. To top it all off, Dave is a nice, awesome dude. I've been going to him for years. He is someone who you don't mind spending several hours with, even though they are sticking needles in your skin. He makes you feel comfortable and you actually have fun getting tattooed by him. Can't recommend him enough! Best tattoo experience ever! I'd definitely tell everyone to go here for ink. I was referred to this tattoo shop by a friend that has gotten work done by Toby. He had a waiting line when we went in, so Garrett came up and introduced himself. I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he decided to draw it directly on my leg to make sure it would work as a cover up. He was very patient with us, even though we asked him to redo it 3 times until it was perfect. He was cool about taking my friend's suggestions and let us sit there pondering the artwork before making a final decision to go forward. The fact that there was no rushing or pressure really put me at ease. I was thrilled with the finished product!! It's even better than I imagined! My best friend was able to get her tattoo from Ricky at the same time and she loves it! Garrett and Ricky were hilarious and fun! They were easily able to get my mind off of needles being stuck in my leg. I think the prices were very reasonable considering the talent, professionalism, and great service.
