We went to check it out at the green acres and we're charged 19 bucks for the burger and if you look at some of their advertising pictures, the burgers look pretty big. But when we actually got it, it wasn't that much food. My partner and I finished it within a matter of a few bites. Overall, the flavor was decent, but I think the claim about them being the number one burger in the area is definitely overhyped. The patties were much smaller and they give you a small bag of chips to go with it. Although the burger was decent, I feel like the quality and the price point did not meet the value of it. It is at the Greenacres location so if you get to have a burger there you can enjoy the music that's in the area or choose from other options. Because we weren't too satisfied from the volume of the food we ended up having to get food from another food truck. Wouldn't be my first pick out of all the options there.

The salsa cups were barely half full, and mostly more spice than flavor. The tortillas on the tacos and burrito weren't toasted - they fell apart while we holding them. The birria burrito came with a consommé that was great, but the burrito itself was wrapped poorly. The meats in each of the items were fine, but not as great as the reviews praised them to be. Perhaps we got them on a bad day? All in all, it's an okay taco truck.

About the flavor difference I don't know the potatoes taste different. The burnt ends taste different. The brisket taste different. They have also made several menu changes and changes to how they advertise in the actual brick-and-mortar location. With all these changes over the last six years, it just does not feel or taste like the same restaurant. And I'm turned off by the refusal of to go orders. I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed that I had never tried shaved ice but do remember snow cones. It was all explained to me as I was turning around. I can't for sure name the treat I got but think it was some special Hawaiian thing?? I liked it. A cup of shaved ice and Subtle tropical ish flavors. Why not. You know what. It was refreshing. Kanak Express food truck, Sunday July 13th lunchtime at Green Acres Boise…read moreBeen awhile since I had visited Kanak Attack, the food truck started up in 2009 and the business model now includes a mobile group that supports fire fighter activities, as well as a permanent catering division at Lake Harbor with a restaurant. As with any food truck, some of the hardest part of finding them is knowing where to look. I've had the best luck by following Kanak on Instagram, but you can also look up Green Acres by Shoreline Drive on Pioneer street (new location) to see the multiple trucks scheduled that week. Another source I use a lot is the Treasure Valley Food Truck Finder (formerly Boise Food Trucks) on Facebook. Like most food trucks that feature proteins, the prices have jumped up in the last two-three years. A salad with protein is the best bet for bargain hunters at $10, or the three tacos (see menu photo) but I have found that getting the twenty dollar "Two Entree Plate Lunch" works out pretty good as it's usually enough for one meal immediately and another reheated in the microwave (rice) and air fryer (meat). The plate lunch includes a) choose a rice, b) choose a salad and c) choose a protein. My favorites are the Kalua Pig, which is smoky, shredded pork that is juicy, not overly fatty, but maybe to salty for some. I saved most of this and made enchiladas the next day at home. Teriyaki chicken is the same price, add a $1 for the Katsu Chicken which was juicy and crispy with the breaded fried exterior and includes a dipping sauce that's a little sweet and addictive, it's so good. Used to plain macaroni salad? Hawaiian style is a little different, but delicious and is usually the first side I finish. If you are a first timer, don't be afraid to ask for help figuring out what to order, the crew usually takes the time to answer questions and guide you. The menu is pretty well organized into sections.
