I was really disappointed with my visit. This restaurant is not allergy-friendly at all. When I mentioned my food allergies, the staff seemed annoyed and made dismissive comments about people with allergies. Food might be fine for those without restrictions, but if you have any dietary needs or allergies, I strongly recommend going somewhere that takes those concerns seriously and treats guests with respect. For Krate shipping containers, their store has good set up with outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor has good number of seats. This very important for hot weather in Florida. I would said one thing about their outdoor seating. They need constant cleaning on the table and food drop on the floor. This is the area they need to improve. We came here for the poke. We choose the make your own poke. I have two proteins with ahi tuna and tempura shrimp. One thin for sure their fish is firm and good for the bite. I which the cube of ahi tuna to be cut a bit bigger cube. The tempura shrimp is good to go with. They do have good sauce to mixed in at your choice. The free mix in items have good selection. Wow! This place is delish!!! My kids also love this place! This may be their favorite restaurant in the Krate. I would like to see their "text service" do better as we never receive a text saying they are ready, however their food makes up for it! Everything is always fresh and flavorful! Absolutely so disappointed. We come here every once in a while for the tiger bowl, and this time I only got 4 pieces of chicken. Four. Small. Pieces. Of chicken. I asked for a refund, and she was not able to do so because she did not have a code to process it, so she gave me a receipt to come back in and get my money back. This really took forever. I should have known that people just placed an order and left bc I thought it wouldn't be so bad of a wait. Having waited as long as I did, you would think it would have been prepared with care, or presentably. When I looked at the bowl, everything just looked thrown in there. If it took forty minutes why did it look like it was thrown in there in less than a minute. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a pic bc my phone had died by that point. They said they were waiting for the crab. Really, crab takes that long to fry, and it was just a little bit of crab and a slippery slimy salmon. I highly doubt fresh salmon is slimy. This bowl was also at too spicy. I just threw it out. There was only one pleasant person there. The others were busy throwing stuff into bowls or mashing sushi rice for rolls. Two metal pots fell on the ground and then one of them working threw it back up on the shelf as if the pots would stay up there. Guess what, the logs fell down again louder than the first. Why put it back up there? She was frustrated and proceeded to bang it even more on the ground. Even one of the guys working kept asking her if she was ok. Didn't know whether to laugh or what?! I won't come back here. There's other poke places in the area. And there's a lot of other options around the Krate and the Grove. I'd been waiting some time to try this one since I've been to the location across from the outlet mall, armature works, and in Lakeland. Sign says they close at 9 but actually they close at 9:45pm. When I opened the not yet locked door with the open sign still on I was "greeted" by deer in the headlights employees. Everything was put away and I was refused service. I understand that I came in close to close but when I worked in food service it was expected to provide service up closing time. After two visits during their grand opening week I'm still impressed. The ingredients are of a very high quality. So far I have enjoyed a custom bowl and a burrito. Both were equally delicious. The service is very friendly and personable. The seating area is comfortable inside and out with a shaded and cooled outdoor eating area. They don't have their fountain drink area working yet, so only bottled beverages were available at the moment... but those are reasonable starting problems. Plenty of shrimp tempura and perfectly cooked rice and great flavor. The 2nd time I had the tuna Poke Bowl and loved it. The tuna was so fresh and the flavors and textures were fantastic. It was incredibly clean and bright inside. The owner was behind the counter and super nice as was everyone working there. I will definitely go back the next time i am in the area. (Ps I didn't order any lettuce) it's just very expensive for how little food you get and with other poke places in town this would be a skip for me.
