The doors are fiberglass and the manufacturing company told me it would take a major blow to crack and indent the exterior surface of this door. When I pointed out the damages to the jamb to the carpenter, I was told "it came that way." They did not come that way. It took 2 days for 2 supposedly experienced carpenters to install doors that they had to remove after fully installed to correct problems that kept the doors from shutting. They were almost almost an hour late each day. They took 3 to 4 cigarette breaks per hour. They were not prepared with basics such as screws of various lengths, tools needed to plane a warped area in the opening for the door, spray foam to seal gaps in spaces, etc. I reached out to the carpenter and he flatly denied any damage occurred due to their installation and work with our doors. No willingness to assume any responsibility for their substandard work. Use caution if you hire this company. We have to buy another door to replace the damaged one.

Although Frick's was among the more affordable companies, I chose them based on Joseph's genuine sincerity in making sure I was happy with the work. Joseph and his crew did a magnificent job bringing this worn, disheveled, damaged house back to life. The home looks fresh and brand new. Every wall, ceiling and trim was painted. I have all new, gorgeous flooring. They made all kinds of repairs to the house, that if I had to hire someone for every kind of repair, would have cost me much more. I am thrilled with my "new" house and grateful to Joseph and his team of professionals.

They named themselves as the contractor on our permit without us contracting with them. After reaching out to the county for a copy of the application, I discovered that details were added to our form after my signature, without any notification to me. Not only was I surprised to see Northside Remodeling and Willie Middleton's name on the permit & application, I was extremely surprised to find my signature on a document I didn't fill out. This unexpected change left me feeling very uneasy, questioning the level of honesty with this business. The basement project itself was rife with issues - rough-in plumbing done incorrectly, window egress not installed to code, framing not complete or installed correctly. In Georgia, the licensed contractor on the permit is accountable and responsible for the work to be done to code. We have since had to hire a new contractor and pay additional money to fix these errors. It wasn't the smooth experience I hoped for, and I personally would want to find a company that emphasizes clear and upfront communication.

We needed a bathroom upgraded in an 80 plus year old home that did not work. The tub was cracked…read morethe plumbing was shot. I asked Chateau Sept Renovations to come out and provide a quote and to explain if the bathroom had any potential. Jose came out like the next day (IMPRESSIVE)! He explained what needed to be done, how long the job should take (unless they ran into issues with the home being this old) and all we needed to do is pick a day when they could get started. Since I did not have a clue as to what I was doing, I gave Chateau Sept Renovations, full control over renovating the bathroom. What I mean by that is they picked the tile and the flooring; we picked the paint. Even with authorizing them to create at will, Jose still sent several pictures of flooring and tile to ensure we were included in the process and to make us feel like we were truly getting what we wanted. When the project started, Jose and Matt came out to get everything in order. Products, materials and supplies started arriving at my home, so Jose and Matt created a staging area in the front of the house (my living room) ONLY because the day the project started a storm popped up and I mean it was storming. Although the interior of my home was used as a storage area, they covered the floor and everything around the supplies to ensure my carpet and furniture was protected. As the project progressed, Matt treated my home as if it were his own. When he didn't like how something turned out, he wouldn't leave until it was done the way he thought it should look based on what we requested. I mean the attention to detail surpassed my expectation. An example of that would be when the paint dried, he did not like how the dry wall appeared so the section he had a problem with, he sanded and painted again. I thought the room looked wonderful, but it was not where he wanted it to be. When a contractor takes that kind of pride in his work, then I will always use them in the future. My house is over 80 years old so they took their time to understand the potential problems with upgrading a house that old. Matt and Jose were transparent when they advised the potential problems when renovating older homes. They were correct, we ran into an issue with the plumbing and like professionals, they advised us of the issues, developed a plan and executed without even delaying the completion. It was certainly one of the best experiences I've had regarding contract work in a very long time. I will certainly use them for all my contracting needs.

Luckily the animal never seemed to make it into my house since it found a bunch of books where it chewed the hole, but the second hole it chewed almost made it through to an area with nothing blocking the animal from getting into my house. I needed to get someone to repair this fast and tried my roofing and siding companies, but they didn't do small jobs like this. I found Spectrum Home Services from a web search and saw some positive reviews, including a couple here on Yelp. I called up and left a message. Frank called me back within about 30 minutes and we discussed my problem. He said he would be able to do the job and asked for some photos so he could estimate. When I got home, I took the photos and sent them. I got a very reasonable estimate the next day and scheduled the job. I didn't have to wait too long for the job to be scheduled -- they came out within about a week. The worker who was sent out was very professional and did a very good job fixing both the outside and inside. It all looks back to normal, as though there was never a hole in the wall. He worked very efficiently and was finished within a couple of hours. Payment was very easy -- I got an invoice in the email and could pay online through Quickbooks. It's hard to find good companies who do small jobs around the house -- I definitely had a very good experience with Spectrum and would use them again. They are highly recommended. It's a four or five star company for me.

Unfortunately, he had convinced me that he would be able to come out and upgrade my electric panel since I had multiple electrical things that I had added with a renovation I'm a general contractor so I'm always looking really good people to support me for the multiple properties that I work on annually. So I look forward to working with him, and he was very strong his supportive of upgrading my panel to a 200 panel and one of the homes were renovating When he arrived, he had a worker that called me or connected with me and told me that I did not need to have the upgrade. I was concerned because I felt like if he just added in double breakers to give me more room in the panel that it still would be a lot of taxation on the electrical needs of that house was pulling, but he assured me it would not. After they finished the work, I did pay them feeling that they were competent and understood the needs of the work that I was trying to accomplish. The next day, I got to the house and realized that my HVAC system had not been connected to the panel and they insisted that it had been. So I ended up spending $250 calling out an HVAC person to look at the HVAC system. Should there be an issue with the Hvac. He quickly identified that they did not connect all of the electrical into the panel. He connected it for me and then the Hvac worked without a problem but here I have now lost another $250 due to their lack of being responsible with basic electrical for this panel and connecting the HVAC I reached out to them on this and shared the issue and I was unable to get any responses back. I spent multiple times reaching out to them and nothing came back for any kind of response from Victor. Who did this work for me. Further to that I had an electrician come out to do some work for me to run wiring for a hot tub and he stated to me that they should have upgraded the panel with GFCI breakers, and it was not a good thing that they had left me with the original panel doubling up breakers because he said that we were drawing too much power and more than likely this will cause damage and I'll have to upgrade this panel in the near future They charge me almost as much to do the job of doubling breakers up as it would've been to replace the panel, and I feel very misled and absolutely out more money because of mistakes that they made. I would highly recommend that you do not use this company because they will not respond to you when they make do not care about making things right. If I had called them back in the near future to do work for 10 or $15,000 which I had planned to do on our next job that we're working on I could've lost so much more with this company. They will not call you back. They do not care and they will just come in and get the quick buck and leave you hanging if their work is not done correctly. Please, please please stay far away from this company.

Let me start by saying this: Atlanta Floor One screwed up…read more As I was closing on my home, I hired Atlanta Floor One to replace my carpet in the office with hardwood floor, and sand, stain and finish all of the existing hardwood floors. Atlanta Floor One screwed up and cut my family room carpet up instead of my office carpet. And I still rate them five stars. They deserve it. When Rudy and another flooring company's representative came and visited my home, I received very similar quotes from both of them. I asked them both for the same thing: To replace the carpeted office on the first floor with wood that matched the existing wood on the first floor, and to sand and stain the light, worn floor, with a darker stain. Rudy came in through the front door, and measured the office, the room on the right when you enter. He measured the rest of the wood areas on the first floor, and we discussed the details necessary to get a quote from him. When Rudy's team showed up to deliver the wood they needed to leave in the house for a few days to acclimate, they came in through the garage, and put the wood on the carpeted family room, which is on your right when you come in through the garage. They showed up a bit early, but waited for us as we returned from closing on the house with the key. When Rudy's team showed up to install the wood, again, on time, they entered through the garage. My wife let me know they arrived with a text, and asked in a text, a few minutes later, why they were cutting up our living room carpet. They made a mistake. Rudy had explained that the room they were replacing the carpet in was the room on your right when you walk in through the front door. The new wood was on the family room carpet, which is on your right when you walk in through the garage door. I understand how the mistake happened, but I was extremely frustrated. I called Rudy, he called his team, he let me know it was a mistake, and that he would make it right. As the project went on, Rudy's team did great work. They showed us two samples of stain on the actual floor, and did a great job with the stain we chose. The floor looked amazing after three coats of polyurethane. There were touch-ups needed, they came back and got the big ones, there were a lot of wood pieces all over the basement floor after they finished nailing down the office floor I ended up vacuuming up, the washer and dryer were never pushed back in place, and yeah, there was some stain on moulding that needed to be touched up. But here's the thing...those are all small details. The two squeaky areas I asked to have fixed don't squeak any more. The old wood looks great now. The new floor is indistinguishable from the old floor. I'm very happy with how my wood floor looks and feels. "But wait!" you say. "With all those details, how can you give Atlanta Floor One five stars?" Here's where Atlanta Floor One really came through. The carpet. Rudy's team screwed up, and Rudy instantly admitted it, and said he would make it right. Rudy sent someone over to patch together the carpet, but it was still clearly patched together and was going to look progressively worse as time went on. I was concerned Rudy was going to try to negotiate a discount off the project instead of replacing the carpet. He did not. Rudy sent over carpet samples for much cheaper carpet than the very high end carpet that had been cut up. My wife was shown those sampled and was asked to choose her color. She picked the color that match, and his team showed up several days later with cheap carpet to install. Fortunately, my mom stopped them before any install, and explained that Atlanta Floor One was not going to replace my very nice carpet with very cheap carpet. There was no yelling or fighting with Rudy, we simply discussed that while the carpet was somewhat old, it was very nice and in great shape, and we'd bought the house with no plans to replace that nice high end carpet. Rudy worked with us to find suitable carpet that my wife and I would be happy with. He asked us to confirm, before he ordered it, that it was what we wanted. He waited while we got samples and then ordered it once we gave the OK. It took a long time from when things started until Rudy finally had the carpet that my wife and I agreed on. A team showed up and did a great job installing it. Rudy himself showed up the next day for final details, like moving the washer and dryer back in place. This wasn't a great project for Rudy, I'm sure he was frustrated by the carpet and the issues it created, but he was always professional, responsive and reasonable. I have a lot of respect for his commitment to do things right. I paid the agreed upon amount to Rudy, and I have absolutely beautiful hardwood floors. My living room carpet looks just like it used to, except with newer carpet. I would gladly spend a bit more to work with an honorable, skilled craftsman like Rudy in the future.
