    Welcome

Wife made it a point to visit here as we don't have stores like this in LA and she had a blast shopping for pens, stamps, notebooks and other stationary needs. Place is huge and was very busy. Lots of friendly employees, including one gentleman who kept me company the entire time I sat there and regaled me with many stories of the store, his hometown of Philadelphia and other random things that fascinated me and kept my mind off the fact that my wife had been shopping for more than half an hour.

Are you all about Japanese planners and stationery? Then, Atlas Stationers, who has been around since the late '30s, is your spot! This place is large and spacious, and their selection is so great - they have everything from all the different types of pens (fountain pens, ballpoint pens, rollerball pens, calligraphy, and glass dip pens), markers, various types of pencils (mechanical and woodcase), pencil sharpeners, erasers, stamps, stickers, washi tapes, wax seals, inks and refills, notebook covers and accessories, pen storages, notebooks, sketchbooks, and paper/sticky notes! I loved their selection in stationery, washi tapes, and the stickers! There are stations in which you can test out different types of paper and pens to just find that 'perfect' one! There are friendly staff readily available to answer any questions or help you locate any item(s). You can easily spend at least an hour in here! Metered street parking can be found in the area. +stationery and planners +great selection +available staff +metered street parking available

1st Visit - I will be back! - Got many "Smiles" on my way out; - I spent quite a "Handsome" some of money. Selection is truly "Mind Blowing" - They have something for every taste. My Taste is Orange - Thank you Chloe and Christian for taking such incredibly amazing care of me and delivering such a high level of friendly and great service. Everyone in this store is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Visit was so enjoyable and positive - so many colorful items in the store to experiment and trial. A+ - So glad I visited Atlas Stationers; - This was one of the highlights of my recent visit to Chicago. Store is gigantic and spacious - Arrive by Uber or on Foot - You ain't going to have much fortune finding parking. That's OK - Your in a huge City. KO to Art Brown and Fountain Pen Hospital - This is the Alpha and the Omega of Stationary Stores - Cool Customers!

Atlas Stationers was a great stop and I am glad my friend suggested it. The store has so many options and I mean that in the best way. Pens, journals, cards, office supplies, all laid out in a way that makes you want to pick everything up and try it. The colors are sharp, the designs are thoughtful, and the whole place feels like a candy shop for anyone who likes good stationery. I have transitioned mostly to electronic tools lately, but it is hard not to appreciate well made pens and quality paper. Atlas reminded me why. The staff was helpful without being pushy and it was easy to spend more time there than planned. If you enjoy writing, collecting notebooks, or just browsing well curated stationery, Atlas Stationers will not disappoint. I will definitely be back.

Perfect service and selection. I do not summarize my experience at Atlas in that reductive way for no other reason, but to get to the point quickly. We bought a beautiful new pen (go to that pen counter and have a conversation or watch the YouTube videos they have posted to get some perspective before the visit). There are some lovely small and specialized journals. This is completely worth a visit.

Coming here is a treat every single time. There are wall to wall pens, notebooks, planners, stickers, tapes, things you've never even known about before that you definitely need now. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and so kind.

I have been journaling for 10 years so was so excited to find out about a stationery shop like this in Chicago! I came for the first time during their Stationery Festival. They have a wide variety of stationery and brands. I bought a TWSBI fountain pen and love it. Their staff are really knowledgeable and eager to help. I had a lovely experience.

Ever since I found out I was visiting Chicago, I've wanted to visit Atlas Stationers. I heard about it through a podcast and it just seemed like such a great place to visit, and it was! There's a palpable energy throughout the store, and it's saying something that on a Tuesday morning, there were people waiting outside the store for when they opened. They've got such a great variety of pens, pencils, inks, cases, washi, notebooks, inserts, accessories...it's really a great one-stop shop for all things stationery. They also have a guest book to sign, and I was able to witness a livestream in action, which was pretty cool. Some things to highlight include the wide array of fountain pens available (plus a peak at their fountain pen bracket - yay for the 823!), a well-stocked supply of Galen Leather products (one of my favorites), shelves of washi tape, an entire 2 areas dedicated to Hobonichi, a wall of notebooks, and a pen station in the middle of the store. There's a lot more, but those were the things that caught my eye. They also have an area for Atlas exclusives, but it was empty when I came. I found it odd that they don't have a store stamp - most other stationery shops I've been to have one, and I was looking forward to stamping my notebook, but oh well. They have store stickers, so I got one of those instead! Great service as well - I recommend signing up for their rewards program, too. Definitely worth a visit! Or two, if you're like me, in the same day.

Enjoyed my visit very much. Outstanding service with extremely knowledgeable staff. You know you're in the big leagues when the staff are discussing the history of the Pilot vanishing point pen line. The store front, interior, and voluminous products were all equally impressive. Worth a stop anytime you are downtown. I'll be back for sure! Pens and journals of all types and sizes available. The amount of ink and paper options was most impressive.

I bought my first Montegrappa pen on a whim, drawn in by the beautiful resin. Because the resin varies quite a bit, the pen I received didn't quite match the website photos. I hesitated to exchange it just for color--but I'm so glad I contacted Atlas. Tony immediately sent a return label and went above and beyond, even swapping the nib size and following up to be sure everything was exactly right. Thanks to him, I now have a pen I love that writes beautifully smoothly. I shop at many pen stores, but after this experience, Atlas Stationers will be my first stop. Exceptional service--thank you, Tony.

Since I flew all the way from Atlanta to Chicago in August for the annual sidewalk sale, then I have to give them a 5 star review. It rained the first day of the sale, and they were wonderfully prepared and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Great selection of pens and stationery supplies. I've been buying fountain pens a little shy of two years and I don't think I'll ever write with a standard pen again. They had an ink swap the first day of the sale, and I was able to walk away with a zip loc bag full of ink samples. it was a lot of fun meeting the owners and their mother. Its a family owned business and you leave with the feeling that they are happily moving forward with the family legacy .

When we entered the store, the staff greeted us and checked our tickets. We were booked for 10 AM on a Sunday and were the only ones in our group. Inside the play area, there are five stations for five of the pups, plus the "lookout" area. Marshall does not have a station, just as an FYI. Rocky's station was partially broken when we visited, but ultimately my son still had a good time. There were 3 slides, a magnatile/block area, a recycling game where you toss recycling into different baskets, an obstacle course, and a go-kart area. Most areas skewed a bit young - more like 3-5. The go-karts were a huge hit with my 5 year old, though I imagine this would be a hard activity if you went at a busy time. The whole thing was just an open play session. You can get stamps for completing each of the "missions" (really just playing at the different stations), but largely your kid can be left to their own devices. Staff were mostly nice. Some were a bit aggressively trying to joke with my son and couldn't quite pickup that he was NOT into it. I had to just escort him away. For the most part, however, everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The toy store itself offers a decent selection of toys, and they have lots of things out to play with. There is also an area to create your own slime and various crafts you can do as well (for an extra charge). The Paw Patrol area is $35 per ticket (adults must purchase a ticket as well) plus a $7 fee when purchasing online. This felt a little steep for a one hour open play session, but my kid had a great time. I'd say for a special outing it was worth it, but I don't know that it offers enough to warrant repeated visits.

We ended up upgrading our class to include paint as well as we got to know that without the paint we won't be able to use the things we made of it involves water. My friend made a cute cup and I made a not so cute vase. I would definitely say that but the end of the class, we were rushing a bit and would have appreciated some help and tips from the teachers but we didn't get any. We had to constantly ask about things and where the brushes were and where the paints were. Since it was our first ever class, we would have appreciated a bit more help from the teachers in managing our time and helpful tips on how to glaze correctly instead of having to ask everything ourselves when we are already rushing. I'd been to the ones on Southport and on Wells but it was interesting to see the difference in merchandise here. It makes sense--this location seemed to have more office-type merchandise, and for a location in the Loop what better place to sell office supplies? Heck, I even had to stop myself from buying some of the cute office stuff they have here, and I only work two days per week in the office and still don't have my office space fully set up at home. If you need a last-minute card, even if it's beyond the standard congratulations or birthday, this is a great place to stop. And it's directly across the street from the Clark postal station, so may as well get it in the mail immediately before you forget! They had several board games. I'm a board gamer but usually don't play the ones that get mass market attention, and I saw some more niche ones like Steam Up which was truly surprising. I'm not sure who's coming here to buy them but I am totally in favor of stores supporting small publishers. I also saw journals, notepads, coffee cups, and so on. There's no parking here given its location in the loop. Train, bus, and/or foot will be your options.
