They really emphasize the importance of customer service and have been really helpful in helping my design my piece, even if I come in with almost no idea of how I want something framed. To me their prices are a tad higher than what I was expecting to pay, but given the high quality work they do and how easy they make the entire process, this place provides great value if you need something framed. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I've had two experiences with the Frame Shop across its Bridgeport and Lincoln Park location and there have been some common themes that I think does a good job representing the values and aspects of framing that this place is trying to do well. What I really do appreciate about the Frameshop is how serious they're taking covid. Each location is only open a few days a week and people only come in by appointment only. Not only does this reduce the number of people around me but it gives me individual attention when it comes to getting inspiration in terms of how to set up my framed piece. Every time I've been, the person working has had a mask on as well, and there is plenty of hand sanitizers. The other thing I've noticed across my experiences, is their focus on quality framing and customer service. I am honestly a novice when it comes to framing, but even then, I always really appreciate and am impressed by the finished product. Like when I get my pieces back, I always think "Damn, this is really nice" and it makes me feel like I have my sh*t together as an adult. It's like putting on a nice suit, you automatically feel like a million bucks, even if half my wardrobe is gym shorts and t-shirts. In terms of customer service, I had a terrible first experience at Lincoln Park, but the frame shop reached out to me and let me know they had already taken steps to address some of the issues I had previously experienced, even before I gave my feedback. I am glad I gave them another shot, and I truly believe that my second experience is more representative of what you can expect based on how genuinely apologetic they were and based on other reviews. Going in the second time, I just had a few pieces from my wedding I wanted framed as an anniversary gift. I had nothing in mind of how it would go together or how it would look. Cole helped me and made the whole process really easy. He took what few ideas I had, filled in some blanks, and within 15 min we had outlined the piece and I was super happy with it. That process could not have been easier. I still do get some sticker shock when it comes to the price. Compared to what I had in mind, we're still within the same ballpark, but still higher than what I thought I was going to pay going in. But to be fair, I'm basing this off prices in my hometown, and have never gone anywhere else in Chicago, as some of the other reviewers seem to have, and found the Frame Shop to be cheaper. But given the quality of the final product, the amazing customer service, and the eye for design the workers have, you're still going to get great overall value when come to the Frame Shop.

Around 10 AM (a little after opening), I walked in & was surprised to find a vibrant little community of early-rising, stationery enthusiasts, just my kind of people. The store was lively but not crowded, so shopping was very comfortable and fun. First off, the staff here is PHENOMENAL! So kind, conversational, knowledgeable, helpful, & attentive. Possibly the best customer service I've ever received. If you're a stationary enthusiast or stationary-curious, this is a great place to be. I've seen this store's TikTok account before, so I expected it to be a big chain given its popularity, but it's actually a family-run business since 1939! They even have a nice online store you can check out. Everyone has their preferences, but this store checked all the boxes for me. On top of excellent service, they had an INSANE SELECTION! Stickers, pens, journals, leather journal covers, washi tape, and ALLLL the stationery goodies. The cost is comparable to other stores (online & otherwise), which is great. They even offer frequent events & workshops. Stores like Topdrawer are very popular, but they just never spoke to me. Atlas Stationers is a gem that I can't rave about enough. They gave an estimated date of June 21 (the gift wasn't needed until July 10). Get to the week of July 7, and they still have not started the project due to "other emergencies" (1. You're a picture frame store, wtf kind of emergencies could there be and 2. Why is her money less valuable than other customers?). Anyways still no progress on July 10 (the date it was needed). She tries calling and texting, even left a voicemail. No response. Her friend calls and they pick up immediately. Clearly dodging her calls. Ultimately went in to get a refund on her behalf because it was July 20 and they still had not even started the project. Took them 6 weeks and all they had was a CAD design. Overall a disgraceful treatment of customers and I could not recommend staying away from here enough.

Apparently they sell trendy office furnishings. I am not really all that into trendy, but the offerings do appear quite elegant and stylish. Not the mundane, run-of-the-mill stuff usually present in offices. I was in the market to outfit an office, I think I would pay them a visit.

This is product number ALE-RV44LS10C and the Reg No: PA-25917. This chair is pretty heavy duty, and super comfortable to work on, especially when you're working at a desk and on your computer on a daily basis. I recently moved two weeks ago from Chicago to the suburbs of Atlanta. The movers must have dropped the chair in transit because it was missing a castor and one of the other ones was cracked. I called their customer service number today and was transferred to Tracy Wernle. She was so incredibly helpful! Professional, kind, and helped me resolve the problem. I am receiving replacement castors for the chair and I am so grateful I got to speak with Tracy. This chair cost me over $300 so I was devastated thinking I would not be able to use it again. SO GLAD I CALLED. I recommend buying their products, customer service is a dying industry but they have it going in full force here at Essendant, Inc.

The store in WP is cute and fun but the store they just opened in RN really needs some work. I know that any high end retailer/showroom needs to order things and there is a waiting period-- no problem. However, when I sought to purchase 4 Italian chairs I was told that becuase they would have to ship them from California I would have to pay the shipping costs... plus a delivery fee! Come on! A delivery fee is fine ( I am asking them to take something to my residence). But why should I pay for the fact that their warehouse is in Cali? Luminaire doesn't do that, even DWR doesn't do that... I want to support locals but I'm not paying THAT much extra for it. At the end of the day I would support their events but there are too many other cute and helpful stores in town for me to purchase my furniture there... maybe a cute Bougie lamp (if they have it in stock)
