Since then I've built a relationship with Gr8tshops and they're one of the few online shippers you can trust. I say this because I'm a hard customer to please. I'm one of those who needs constant updates and proof of whatever. They send a screenshot of the online transaction (of what you ordered), pictures when it's arrived on their bodega and text you updates on when it might arrive. They did all that without me having to ask 'em to and that's some customer service right there. You can either have it shipped to your place, go to one of the meet up places or pick it up at the bodega in Cubao. We also had this instance where we ordered something from the U.S. and it arrived at their bodega a little damaged, the shoes had some sort of stain, upon closer examination. They could've sent the item and claim that it wasn't their job to return it but they did and when the new item came, it had a similar stain. By that point they offered to refund our money and send back the shoes but it was fine because the stain was barely visible and we really liked the shoes! It's so refreshing to the eye! Their next-day delivery is really helpful too when I'm in a rush to send important documents. Sometimes I do find it more practical and time-saving to send documents and other stuff via couriers as opposed to bringing them myself to my clients office. She carefully inspected and measured my large and irregularly shaped item. She then computed for the shipping cost and asked me if I'm willing to pay for it. I immediately agreed as it was cheaper than what the previous courier was charging me. She then gave me a receipt and a tracking number and informed me that my package will reach its destination three days after. I was so happy when the recipient told me that she had already received the item on the evening of the following day. I was so relieved and thankful that JRS Express made it easier and more convenient for me to complete my transaction.

I did learn from a friend back in college to always get my pants cut to fit and hemmed and it's been a habit ever since when buying pants to have them altered. I frequented Alterations Plus before when it was along the second floor Gateway hallway near the LRT turnstiles. The area was always a crowded thoroughfare, but a visit to their business was always pleasant. The staff were always cordial and the place smelled of synthetic fruit. :) Plus they always did my pants justice, even if I sometimes got them cut a little higher than they should be and ended up bitin. Bitin is in na naman, so it's all good. They increased their prices through the course of time though, so it was off to find other cheaper places to get my pants done. But even if I did get to pay less to get alterations, I was not satisfied with the work I got and I realized I should have just stuck to Alterations Plus. A true testament to their skill was when I got a good sized hole in a knit pullover and no one else would take it. I was all ready to hike to Kamuning to hunt for a good tailor to put a patch over it, when I thought to bring it to Alterations Plus and they sewed it right up! I now know I will be forever their suki.
