0/10 would not recommend. We are new pool owners and found him because we thought we had an emergency situation. He came out and did his "back to blue" thing, but never got us back to blue. We must have paid him around $1,000 when it was all said and done. He'd make appointments to service the pool, then never show up. He told us the exact opposite of everything that is right. How do I know that? Because we are now working with a different pool service company who had our pool back up and running the next day after he came out. WARNING! Do not hire this company! Zac, the owner, came to the house and made promises, and he made it seem easy and affordable. He required payment up front but then when he came back to clean the pool it very quickly became obvious he does not know how to use, operate, or service a DE filter/pump system. He did not show up on the days he said he would be there, he left trash and cigarette butts around my house, and he did not perform the services promised. And he has refused to refund the money I paid him. read more

I hired Atlantis Pools to clean my pool for the season. They are nice and polite on the phone. They came and did a service cleaned the pool and balanced chemicals. I paid him for the season which is six months of weekly treatments with the chemicals. I have not seen him since. He has now missed three weeks. I have tried to contact him. I have called 17 times on two different numbers and only been able to leave a message twice due to the mailbox being full. He has not returned my calls or shown up. He is a scammer. Zack and his crew are great! They always show up when they say they will (if you have dealt with pool companies in this town you know how unreliable most of them are) and they do a great job. Zack is very knowledgeable and keeps my pool running super clean. The Season Package is my recommendation and the start-up and shut-down are well worth it. Compared to other pool companies in Albuquerque Atlantis pools is fantastic. Also if you get the Season Package they throw in a bucket with toys, sunglasses and other pool amenities! I have recommended Atlantis Pool Service to family and friends who are also very happy with their service! read more

Zach is just simply not reliable- does not keep commitments, fails to show when promised, never fixed our issues despite promising that it was handled ( and I only learned that he had nothing to fix our pool after I spent another $700 to fill it, and it immediately started leaking heavily). Update 6/8/2022 I got a third party to intervene to help resolve this situation to get my pool heater that I paid Zack in full for. I asked Zack for a refund which he did not give. He said he had already bought the heater and would deliver it today. He did not deliver it or respond to the texts or answer his phone. His excuse for not installing a heater that I paid him in full for was that he did not have a plumber. I scheduled another pool service to install the heater tomorrow because he promised it would be delivered today and he failed to deliver it. Whatever you do do not pay this guy in advance he will take your money and not deliver what he promises. It has been 2 1/2 months of excuses. I will see you in court Zack. I will also be contacting the BB Bureau as well. read more

Very disappointed with Atlantis Pools. A friend of mine saw a street sign (not a personal recommendation) and even though it's a new business we wanted to give him a chance. We paid over $1,200 for a Whole Summer package, which should be about 16 biweekly cleanings. During the entire season, the pool was only clean and clear for a total of about 3 weeks; the rest of the time it was often green and/or had leaves in it. I have about a dozen photos taken over time to prove it. When we asked what the problem was we kept getting excuses ("Corrales has hard water") and promises to fix it. It is true that the water is hard--which is why we already had chemicals on hand to deal with it. Plus, the pool was built 15 years ago and EVERY OTHER pool guy was able to keep it clean, so there's no reason Zac shouldn't have been able to do it, there's really no excuse for the pool looking so bad for so long during the time he was paid to keep it clean. read more

Good day, Update: Zack dropped off the refund. Issue settled and no hard feelings. Thank you Zack Good Day I hate to do this, but Zack left me no other alternative. I started w/ Atlantis Pool Service over a year and half ago. Zack does a great job when he wants to and when he is not over burdened w/ too many customers. Unfortunately, service diminished after the first month, then he missed appointments, made excuses why he couldn't show-up, and I had to remind him and confirm service each week. I had to follow-up after he provided service. It was rarely ever complete. I had to finish the job on a regular basis and his service isn't cheap $75 a visit. The situation came to ahead. I asked him what the issue was and he said he was overbooked. I said "fine, I'll do my own pool work if you're too busy." I'm not getting what I'm paying for. Zack didn't want to lose me as a customer. I gave him another chance. I like to support small business. The service was a bit better, but still hit and miss and I had to complete the job. Then we closed the pool for the year. Fast forward to March 2022 and we arranged our pool opening and service w/ Zack. We cleaned the winter leaves out of the pool and filled it up for vacuuming. He opened the pool, started cleaning the pool, then told my wife he didn't understand the pool plumbing and could not vacuum the pool. My wife paid him $300. He wanted us to front him $1600 for future service. I told my wife "no" based on his prior performance. He left. I contacted him to finish the job. He said he would show up/call. He never called or showed up. I told him we were done doing business with him and the reason why. I told him he was a pool expert and should know how to use the pool plumbing. He had a season's worth of experience the year before. By the way, he also turned on the gas pool heater and left it on w/o telling us. We found the pool at 90 degrees 3 days later. I finished cleaning the pool (including vacuuming). I told him to refund me at least half because he never finished the job. Zack agreed to the refund and would bring it over. He never did. I texted him many times. He promised to send the refund. It never arrived. He finally responded after submitting an earlier bad review and said he put the wrong address on the refund and he would bring it over. he never showed up. I sent him another text saying I was going to the BBB and write additional bad reviews if he did not provide a refund by Wednesday the 13th. He said he would bring over the refund. Surprise he never showed up. I sent him a text apologizing because he forced me into this course of action. Moral of this story, don't front Zack any advanced funding or pay him for an incomplete job! He's a great person, but provides unreliable service and you'll end up doing your own pool work after his service. He will not honor his word. I expect a refund to be paid for the lack of service and the gas bill. Now since I've had to follow-up again I want a refund of $225.00 Thank you, JF read more

Started out ok last year but extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism as well as poor quality service and lack of communication. He 1/2 opened our pool, didn't vacuum and stated he would be back. $300 for nothing. Gave him a chance sorry we did. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for service. read more
