Really cared and understood her patients and also did her best to inform the staff of making sure to provide the best patient user journey. Clean, organized, and is consistent with her appointments. The only thing is that the wait times were deathly because she grew immensely in her role and practice. Highly versed and bilingual allowed her to connect with many different patients of hers. I called today 5/8/25 to confirm and Optic Eye Care has taken over and there is a team of new doctors taking over now. Need to find out where she is. If anyone knows of where she is practicing that would be extremely helpful.

I've had about 10 visits from 11-01-2018 until now 02-14-2019. On 1-08-2019 Vitrectomy surgery was performed to save my right eye. Dr Khanna performed a perfect surgery and saved my right eye. Two weeks later I was experiencing extreme eye pressure and was in a state of tears from the constant eye stabbing pain. I was able to get a hold of Dr Khanna on a Saturday. I talked to him on the phone and he was able to diagnose the issue. He called my pharmacy and prescribed me eye drops that helped. He saw me two days later on a Monday. He determined I needed to be seen by his colleague Dr Unzueta to get my eye pressure down. Dr Unzueta diagnosed me and determined I needed a Ahmed Valve surgery ASAP. With in 2 days Dr Unzueta performed the surgery perfectly. The pain is now gone and my eye which was in the high 50s in now normal range of 10-13. Together these two specialists along with their staffs saved my right eye. Barbara and Alex are both great staff members. The red hair girl is very nice also and fun to talk to. I had heard good things about Dr. Lai through online searches, so I was hoping to confirm what insurance they accept and how to use my medical insurance for an eye exam. Unfortunately, the experience fell short right from the start. The person who answered the phone, Sam, was impatient, unfriendly, and noticeably rude when I asked basic questions. Instead of helping guide me through the process, as any medical office should, especially for new patients--she sounded irritated and dismissive. It honestly doesn't matter how good a doctor may be if the first point of contact treats people this way. A front desk representative sets the tone for the entire practice, and this interaction was a complete disservice to Dr. Lai and to potential patients like myself. I ended the call feeling unwelcome and unsure if I should even schedule an appointment. Customer service matters, especially in healthcare. Sadly, this was not a good first impression.

My eyes were so bad I couldn't drive anymore and there were no glasses that would help. My right eye I couldn't even see the biggest letter. I had surgery on one day to remove cataracts and the next day, my eye was 20/20. I could see the smallest letter on the chart!!!! I have one eye to go, I can't wait! They are the best of the best! After examination, Dr Jiang confirmed the presence of the tear and recommended laser treatment to prevent potential detachment in the future. He informed me treatment can be done right away and asked me to sign the consent form. A couple numbing drops later and he began to laser the torn spot. After about 5 minutes, the treatment was done and it was practically painless. The only sensation I felt was slight pressure on the eyeball from time to time. Overall, this was a lot less stressful than I imagined. Highly recommend Dr Jiang!
