Turns out I needed antibiotics and urgent care diagnosed me with an outer ear infection and only gave me ear drops, making the problem worse. A few weeks after the infection I woke up in the middle of the night with this horrible pain and ringing in my ear and I lost hearing in one ear for weeks. I went to an ent and got put on antibiotics and had to keep seeing him for a few months to get my hearing back in that ear. But there have been times when family first urgent care has been great. I would say if you're going for a standard test, like a strep test or something or if it's a Saturday or Sunday and no one else is open and you're desperate, then they're fine.

Basically, you could choose btwn a few options... not pressure, decide which you're most comfortable with... and we go from there. In my case, I wanted definitive answers and chose to have an endoscopy. That could not have gone easier/smoother. At the time, Dr Shah was VERY pregnant and a week from maternity leave. Yet, despite what could've been a difficult time for her to work comfortably, she was energetic, empathetic, and thorough. I hope the childbirth goes, or went, smoothly; and, that she is able to return to seeing patients when she decides the time is right. Why? She's an excellent physician!

It takes at least 5 minutes to even leave a voicemail for the doctor's office - it automatically redirects you to the original greeting message which is filled with details that should be listed online because hearing a miserable employee of the office read them at the pace of a snail is a waste of time. 2. Not once, not twice, but three times the doctor was very late to my appointments. My second appointment - she was an hour and a half late. This is just ridiculous, if you can't handle the patient volume don't agree to care for the patient. 3. In the time I was under Marie Saky's care - upon every meeting she would remind me facts and details about my condition that I was already aware of! I'm not saying you have to remember my name if you're a busy doctor but at least remember why I'm paying you in the first place to treat me. Stop acting like I wasn't aware of a condition I've for years. I should be able to quickly contact the doctor's office if I need access to my records. I should be able to see my doctor on time if I make an appointment months in advance. I should be treated with respect and awareness by the doctor on my state of health. I don't need the bedside manner of a hotel but some common sense would be appreciated.

Overall - everything was explained very well by the doctor and was very personal. The most important thing is that surgery went well and the follow-ups post op were with the doctor and EVERYTHING was explained about recovery.
