May 2026 new ownership review/update : Still the same old…read moreplaces, a few subtle changes, looks like a restaurant on the inside now, but the outside is still the same fish Camp atmosphere... nice menu, some new things, some of the old things are gone, but that's apples and oranges. Overall, I think anytime you get new management in and they're willing to freshen up things, in the long run it's a good thing. You can't keep what's old old forever, everything's got to be refreshed. Now, all you need to do is get rid of those tiny drinking glasses and get the largER plastic restaurant glasses... I know there's value (for the owners and nobody else) in having a waitress continually run back-and-forth to your table to refill your drink (yeaaaa, good service!) but that's not for me, give me a good size drink and everybody's happy! Don't take away too much of what this place used to be, don't refresh too much, and don't try to add or subtract too much... Remember, this was a successful business and most of us like it just the way it was... Most of it. And oh, get some big boy french fries, these little half size things don't work... Also, still no shrimp and catfish Poboys on the menu? Original review: Good place to eat, one of my favorites, on weekdays, I have never had any problems with the food or service here, so rest assured. I've only been here a couple of times when it was super busy. However, aside from a little bit long wait to be served, everything was always good. The star of the show at Whiteys is being able to have a good meal, while looking at the beautiful scenery along the river, that really brings out what the place is all about. The wait, staff is always friendly there, they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The menu here is excellent, it is what it is for this type of joint, and they go above and beyond just standard bar food fair.

6/18/26. Our book club came here for lunch. I was curious if it had changed since it sold...lots…read moreof people were concerned it would be torn down for condos or something but it appears it's staying a restaurant in the same seafood atmosphere it was. The difference inside they have lightened it up and recovered the booths and such. Outside one can still come by boat and eat outside on the porch/porches! Menu has changed a bit, gotten more expensive. The whole back of the menu is all alcohol drinks! I ordered a platter grilled mahi with one side ($19); the mahi was good and the collards were hot, seasoned and I liked but one of the other ladies had to request a diff side. Others got shrimp tacos, fried grouper sandwich (one side) and a Cobb salad. They seemed to enjoy but few "to go boxes". Maybe they should have lunch specials? Service was excellent by Peyton!

I don't really know what to think. For 5 days now I have been calling and sending emails to Ben…read moreDavis at this park trying to get some information for a five week stay mid-November to December. My time is running short as other RV parks are getting booked to their capacity. This guy Ben Davis has yet to return any of my 4 phone calls nor my 3 emails.Other parks contacted on the same day as my first call have responded. I can only surmise that this park is closed or this guy just doesn't give a shite about customer service. I would rather be told right away that the park is full so I can move on. Being totally ignored is the rudest kind of businessman. Don't waste your time with this park.

I was a guest at Riverfront RV Park and I would definitely recommend and stay at this RV park again…read moreif I am ever in the Jacksonville area. Upon my arrival at the park there was someone, Janet and Dan, there to greet and direct me to my parking space. I am a new RVer and Dan was extremely helpful and understanding while assisting me in backing my RV into my space. It took awhile for me to back into my space but Dan remained with me through the whole ordeal and he even gave me helpful tips to assist me with my backing in the future. Janet did not just give me the registration paperwork to fill out but she stayed with me and assisted me with completing the registration. They made sure I had everything I needed and came back to ensure I was situated into my space. Janet also explained the mail system and ensured I received my mail. Janet and Dan made me feel welcomed to the park especially since I was a new RVer. I am a walker and Janet was always there in the mornings to greet me when I returned from my walk. Oh by the way there is a bridge with a sidewalk which is perfect for walking. She also told me how to get change for the laundry room and took me to the laundry room to make sure I knew how to operate the washer and dryer. If I had concerns or problems with my RV Dan was always there ready to help and assist me with my concerns. I really enjoyed the view of the water while I was at the park especially the sunrise and sunset, they were just beautiful. I do not fish but the pier was perfect for fishing and gazing at the water and boats. Across the street from the park is a recreation area perfect for family gatherings, boating, canoeing, bathrooms, and a playground for the kids. Previous parks that I visited had internet connections that did not work consistently but Riverfront's internet had a very strong connection and did not go out or disconnect the entire time I was there. There was also a strong connection for the television which saved me money because I did not need to purchase a satellite. The park's residents were nice and helpful. I enjoyed the various activities that the residents had, especially the Superbowl party that Janet and Dan threw for the residents, good job guys! I thoroughly enjoyed the Jacksonville Zoo and area which was approximately 5 miles from the park. The park is centrally located near grocery stores, clothing stores, convenient markets, malls and the highways. They are pet friendly and all the dogs got along with each other. Riverfront RV park is quiet and peaceful and it is truly a Hidden Gem in Jacksonville and I highly recommend this RV park to anyone who is looking for a park with everything they could possibly need especially peace and quietness.

We stayed here for (8) nights through the Memorial Day Holiday and it was a wonderful experience…read morestarting with the online reservation process through the simple online check in, although I highly recommend stopping in upon your arrival at the front office to confirm your site and get the lay of the land and your key fob that allows you easy access to all of the parks amenities. The staff here is amazing, they are very friendly and they communicate everything via text if you opted in - for example I received text messages to make us aware of the food truck schedules, maintenance activities on the laundry and club house activities so do yourself a favor and opt in. The premium pull-through sites are very spacious, level and comes with a very large patio constructed with pavers and concrete borders although the parking site is a well executed compacted asphalt millings composite. I really like the amount of green space between the sites allowing some privacy and there is plenty of room to maneuver the wide paved roads no matter the size of your rig - this resort is beautiful and well maintained, all the utilities (sewer, water and electrical) are easily accessible with plenty of water pressure, I didn't use their wi-fi so I can't speak of its performance but a clear view of the sky allowed my on-board internet network to maintain a very strong signal during our entire stay. This is a RV Resort I plan to visit again and again since we love to visit St. Augustine, this location is only minutes from the city center so you can schedule a pickup by the trolly service for a day of adventure without having to deal with downtown parking fees. There's lots to love here with some affordable stay options...
